Chapter 56

“I will arrange everything for your pregnancy okay? Be strong and endure every pain. You got this!” Kissing Elvira’s lips, Lain muttered. Elvira felt weird but she didn’t understand the real meaning of his words. She knew nothing, she was just thinking that he would be there for her when she’s giving birth to their second child too. When she thought about the pain she would receive while giving birth, her body trembled but still her heart was happy to be a mother again. She wanted to give birth to this baby and go through the same happiness again. She was blessed to have another baby with him.

“Lain… I hope this baby will be a daughter. We already have a son.. I like having a daughter now. So we can have a complete family.” Elvira’s heart was beaming with happiness when she said that to him. Lain watched Elvira’s face for a while and nodded. It will be so good to have a daughter. Elvira thought while caressing her belly. Then she scanned Lain’s face to see he had so many emotions in him. He must be so happy and at the same time he must be shocked. Thinking about it, she kissed his face and sighed.

“Yeah… it will be so good to have a girl. I need someone like you too ``Elvira rolled her eyes at Lain when she heard what he said. He needed someone like her? He must be saying it just because Lael is totally similar to him. punishing his chest gently, Elvira nodded at him. He was right.. Her daughter should be like her. Elvira had no words to describe how happy she was, she just didn’t know how to express her happiness. She was pregnant again and going to become a mother again. Becoming a mother is the best thing a woman can have and she was having it for the second time.

“Think about a name for a girl too.. I can’t wait to meet our new baby… please.. Come soon..” Elvira closed her eyes and said while holding Lain’s hands. Lain watched Elvira’s happiness filled face and caressed her face with his fingers. He was happy to see her like this. He was also happy to have his second child. Forcing all the painful truths in his heart without letting them come out and ruin his mood, Lain smiled and picked Elvira up to bridal style as he kissed her lips. Elvira wrapped her hands around his neck and kissed him back. She was so happy. Walking out of the house, Lain roamed everywhere in the courtyard while carrying elvira.

Elvira laughed with his actions and spread her arms with freedom and happiness. Even though she thought that she was trapped in this house with him, now she knows that it was her freedom and it was the life she needed. Didn’t she always want to be with her mate and have a happy family? Now she had it in her life so why would she be sad or be upset? Her life was filled with joy. Elvira’s own thoughts satisfied her and she looked at Lain’s handsome face.

“Finally Lael can have someone to play with when I give birth to this baby. He was so bored all the time when you go to work. He needs a friend” As Lain put her on the ground, Elvira muttered. Lain nodded. He knew that Lael wanted him to play with him all the time but Lain had work to do. But yet he managed to be with his little son and play with him but whenever he leaves the house, Lael is crying asking him to come back and play with him. He needed a solution for this.

“Yeah.. that's good. Lael will get used to playing with his sister or brother in the future” Elvira wrapped her arm around Lain’s arm and walked into the house with a nod. Coming into the house, she walked upstairs and saw Lael was on the bed while looking at his teddy bears and Aunt Maria was reading a story book for him. Aunt Maria was the best when it comes to reading story books for children. Her heart softened and she watched them for a while with Lain before looking up at Lain’s face.

“Did she read books for you too?” Her question made Lain look at her. He stared at her for a while and then nodded at her. Aunt Maria used to tell beautiful stories to him when he was so small. There were so many heart touching stories that Aunt Maria had told him. When he was young, he always wondered if they were true or not but that doesn’t matter even if they were true or not, he really enjoyed those beautiful stories. With that in his mind, he smiled at Elvira. Aunt Maria would never disappoint Lael with those beautiful stories.

“She used to read so many beautiful books for me and now she’s doing it for my son. It’s so good to see Lael is having those beautiful imaginations while listening to her” Elvira’s lips slowly curled upwards to a smile and she watched Aunt Maria and Lael for a while before letting out a deep sigh and walking away from Lael’s room. She entered the master bedroom and walked into the dressing room as she checked her maternity dress and put them aside because she will need them soon.

“If you want, we can buy those again” Elvira turned and looked at Lain who was leaning against the door of the dressing room while looking at her. She smiled at him. There was no need for her to buy these clothes again. This will be enough because she had so many dresses here. More than twenty recesses. It will be enough for her to wear until she gives birth to her baby. Shaking her head, she parted her lips to speak.

“No need.. These are enough” she said as she again looked aty the clothes and arranged them. After she was done, she walked towards Lain and wrapped her arms around his neck. Lain wrapped his arms around her slim waist and slammed her body against his. Enjoying the gorgeous eyes of Lain, Elvira kissed his lips and smiled. She was so happy today after knowing that she was pregnant and she didn’t know how to express this happiness.

“Lain… can we go to the beautiful place? After we went there that day, you haven’t taken me there yet. I just feel that I need to go there and have refresh air” Elvira wanted to go to that place again. Lain took her there and after seeing how beautiful the view of that place was, she couldn’t find another beautiful place which can compare with it. Because of work and everything, they were busy and cannot go there again but today, she felt like going there with him. Lain watched Elvira’s face and nodded. He touched her face and kissed her forehead.

“You want to go now?” he asked her. Elvira thought about it for a while and looked at the time, the time was already around six in the evening. If they go now, it will be so good. Nodding at Lain she smiled at him. Her smile was everything to her, he smiled back at her and agreed to take her there. Maybe this could be the last time he’s taking her there so he should let her enjoy her time without any pain and sadness in her life. With that thought in his mind, he parted his lips to speak.

“Okay.. get ready. Are we taking Lael too?” Lain asked while walking away. He was not sure if Elvira wanted to take Lael there too because he needed to sleep early and it will be so late when they come back. And Lain had no heart to put him to sleep there because there was no secure place for him to sleep comfortably. Even those both elvira and he would be with his son, he didn’t want to take him. But at the same time, Lain knew that Lael would not fall asleep if Elvira was not around him.

“Yes, let’s take him too. I will take his things there” Lain nodded upon hearing Elvira. Since she wanted to take him, he wouldn’t mind. Elvira walked into the dressing room and changed into a comfortable dress. After she was done, she brushed her long hair and braided it loosely before wearing her slippers and coming out. Seeing Lain had already taken a shower, she walked out of the room letting him get dressed. Then Elvira went to Lael’s room. Seeing Aunt Maria was still there, Elvira smiled at her.

“Aunty… we are going somewhere now. I will take a lael with me, okay? Can you help me to arrange his traveling bag?” Maria obediently nodded at Elvira and stood up from the bed as she helped Elvira to arrange everything to the bag. After they were done with it, Elvira took Lael into the washroom and washed him with warm water. Later, she changed him into his clothes. Coming out of the room carrying him, Elvira saw Lain was waiting for her there. Seeing her coming, Lain stepped towards her and took Lael to his arms and kissed his little forehead.

“Aunt, we will be back tomorrow morning. You sleep early and take care of yourself” Lain muttered. Aunt Maria nodded at Lain and smiled before moving her eyes to Elvira who looked so happy. Seeing Elvira's happiness filled smile, Aunt Maria felt nothing but the pain in her chest when she thought about the disaster that was going to happen in the future. She didn’t know how Elvira would take Lain’s death but forgetting all the thoughts, Maria smiled brightly at Elvira and watched them leaving. She even followed them to the main door of the house and watched them getting into the jeep.

“You don’t have to carry me there today okay?” while Lain was driving the car, he heard Elvira’s statement which made him chuckle. He slightly turned his head and looked at her with his eyebrows raised. Seeing him looking at her like that, Elvira pouted her lips and looked away from him. He would carry her there no matter what she said. He didn’t want her long dress to go while walking there. Without answering her, he drove his jeep and stopped it at the same place he stopped it last time when he came here.

“Get something to eat” getting down from the jeep, Lain muttered. Nodding at him, Elvira ran towards the same restaurant. Lain didn’t go there with her, he waited at the jeep while holding Lael. It took more than twenty minutes for Elvira to come back to them carrying so many food bags. As she came to him, he smiled at her and walked towards the dark corner of the beach as he led her into the cave. Coming there, Lain stopped and looked at Elvira who was ready to walk through the water into the place that they are going. Watching her for a while, he sighed and walked instead of carrying her.

If she liked walking there, he should let go like she wanted. Letting Elvira walk in front of him, Lain followed her through the path. He witnessed a giggle from Elvira when she stepped into the water. She was so happy to do it. After walking through it for some time, she entered the place. Lain also entered the place. Coming there, he watched Elvira to see that she was running towards the grass and making fireflies fly everywhere. Her laughter echoed inside of the place.

“Daddy… put.. Me.. down” At the same time, he heard a little sleeping voice. He lowered his head and looked at his son who was watching Elvira who was running and jumping with happiness. When did he wake up? Lain was confused. He was in deep sleep when Lain came here. But since the little troublemaker was awake, Lain walked towards the ground and put the boy on the ground. As soon as he placed Lael on the ground, he laughed and ran towards Elvira with his tiny legs. When he ran, the fireflies flew everywhere.

He stopped running. Instead of running towards Elvira, he started to go after fireflies while raising his hands. Lain watched the adorable view in front of him and his eyes slowly covered with tears. He didn’t let the tears fall down from his eyes as he bravely and strongly held them back for himself. He couldn’t understand why he was so fucking unlucky. He’s in pain now. He wanted to have a family before dying but now he regrets it. Because having a family means that he would love his life even more and he wouldn’t want to live and that means he will face an endless suffering watching them.

He had to let go of Elvira when she was struggling to escape from him. He had to let go of her when she asked him to let go of her. Just because of his own selfishness he was suffering now and Elvira would also suffer her life once he died. She was deeply and dangerously attached to him and she failed to think about a life without him.
