Chapter 88 Wanting to Submit to Him
Olivia noticed Evelyn's stunned expression and instinctively tugged at her.
But Evelyn didn't budge.
Olivia was a bit speechless.
Who said she wouldn't stare at people?
By now, Andrew had come over carrying Bianca.
As soon as Bianca saw Olivia, she greeted, "Mommy, Godmother."
Evelyn ignored her.
Olivia found it amusing and quickly went over.
It wasn't until she got closer that she noticed Bianca's hair was a bit wet, as if she had been sweating.
"Why are you sweating so much?" She took Bianca from Andrew and asked, puzzled.
Andrew explained, "She was playing with Lightning and Lightning's mom at the training ground earlier."
Olivia smiled, "Sounds like she had a lot of fun."
Andrew nodded, his voice cool and magnetic, "She's stable now. Tonight's hypnosis helped her forget the bad memories. There's no need to worry. Just make sure this doesn't happen again, or it could get worse."
"I'll be extra careful! It's all my fault today for not watching Bianca properly, which led to this situation."
Olivia replied earnestly, then looked up at him, "Thank you so much, Mr. Hamilton. You treated Bianca and played with her. I don't know what I would've done without you!"
Tonight's incident was really scary; she didn't even dare to think about it.
Every time she thought about it, she felt a wave of fear and heartache.
Andrew remained indifferent, "It's nothing. It's all in the past now, Ms. Garcia. No need to blame yourself."
He glanced at his watch and said, "It's late. Let's head back. I'll be out of Emerald City for the next few days. If there's an emergency, contact David."
Hearing that he was leaving, Olivia asked instinctively, "Another business trip?"
"Yes." Andrew nodded slightly, not elaborating.
Olivia, understanding, didn't ask further.
The tasks he took on were undoubtedly confidential and couldn't be disclosed.
So she said, "Well... take care, Mr. Hamilton."
Andrew nodded and quickly bid them farewell, then got into his car and left.
The Maybach soon drove out of the military compound.
Olivia watched the car until it was out of sight, then turned to Evelyn, "He's gone, and you're still staring?"
It was only then that Evelyn snapped out of it and exclaimed, "Why didn't you tell me Mr. Hamilton looked like that? He's so handsome I can't even find the words to describe it!
That perfect build, those exquisite features, that cool, aloof demeanor! Absolutely stunning!
When he got out of the car and nodded at me, that cold, unattainable vibe made me want to submit to him!"
Olivia couldn't help but laugh at her exaggerated description, "I can see that. You're practically drooling!"
"What? No way!" Evelyn was horrified and quickly wiped her mouth, afraid she had really lost her composure.
When she felt her face and found nothing, she realized Olivia had tricked her.
"You dare to trick me!" She pounced on Olivia, tickling her.
Olivia dodged in fright, but Evelyn wouldn't let up, even dragging Bianca into the fray.
Seeing his little owner being bullied, Lightning ran over and bit Evelyn's skirt.
They goofed around until they got in the car and finally settled down.
For the next week, Olivia didn't send Bianca to school but let her rest at home until she was sure she was okay to go out again.
During this time, Harper's case was also finalized.
Steven called Olivia personally to inform her, "The police found other parents during their investigation who provided evidence of Harper's misconduct. She's definitely going to be sentenced, probably two to three years...
But recently, someone has been trying to pull strings for her, possibly to reduce her sentence."
Olivia's eyes narrowed. "Who?"
Steven replied with a hint of caution, "Her friend..."
Olivia's face darkened instantly.
It had to be Sophia.
Steven continued, "We couldn't find concrete evidence against Sophia, so she's off the hook for now. But she's been working behind the scenes to find a way out for Harper. If she's successful, Harper's sentence might really be reduced."
Olivia's expression soured, but there was nothing she could do.
In typical medical malpractice cases, even if a patient died, the maximum sentence was usually three years.
Harper had caused real harm to the children but hadn't caused any deaths, so there was room for negotiation.
And Sophia, being the instigator, had indirectly harmed Harper. Of course, she would do everything she could to clear Harper's name.
Otherwise, if Harper found evidence against her one day, she would be in trouble too.
Understanding this, Olivia's eyes turned cold.
One day, she would catch Sophia and make her pay!
Suppressing her anger, Olivia thanked Steven, "Thank you for your efforts!"
Steven replied politely, "It's my duty, especially since Mr. Hamilton personally assigned it."
Olivia nodded. After hanging up, she messaged David about the situation and thanked Andrew.
If it weren't for his intervention, the progress wouldn't have been so fast!
David replied: [Mr. Hamilton has received your thanks. He says you're welcome... Also, he asked me to tell you that there's an auction in Emerald City tonight. There's a rare medicine there that could help Bianca's condition.
He can't make it back in time and wants you to go and get it.]
Olivia replied: [Sure!]
David quickly sent over the auction catalog.
Olivia glanced at it.
The starting bid for the rare medicine was three million dollars!
She was shocked.
That expensive?
She had spent all her savings on a house recently and didn't have that much money on hand!
Feeling a headache, she thought for a moment and decided to go to the Wilson Group to find Daniel.
At that moment, Daniel was in his office, buried in a mountain of paperwork.
He was surprised to see her, "What brings you here? Isn't the lab busy?"
Olivia hesitated, seemingly unsure how to start.
Daniel raised an eyebrow.
He had known Olivia for years and rarely saw her so hesitant.
He looked at her with interest, "What's up? If you have something to say, just say it. This isn't like you!"
Olivia paused, took a deep breath, and said honestly, "There's an auction tonight with a rare medicine that could help Bianca's recovery.
You know how expensive those events can be... So... can I advance some of our partnership's profits? You can deduct it from the proceeds when the special medicine hits the market."
She felt a bit embarrassed saying this.
Over the years, she had never asked anyone for money.
Not even Michael...
Now she was asking Daniel, which made her feel awkward.
"That's it?" Daniel looked at her casually.
"How much do you need?"
"I'm not sure." Olivia shook her head, "The starting bid is three million dollars, but who knows how high it will go!"
Daniel originally thought of giving her a card or a check.
But then he reconsidered, "Is the auction you're going to the one at Summit Haven?"
Olivia was surprised, "Yes, how did you know?"
Daniel smiled, "Because I'm also invited. I wasn't planning to go, but since you need something, I'll go with you."
This meant he agreed to advance her the profits.
Olivia sighed in relief and smiled at him, "Thanks!"
Daniel shrugged it off, "It's a small thing. You could have just called. No need to come in person."
He didn't like Olivia being too formal with him.
But he was pleased she thought of him first when she needed help.
