Chapter 86 Settling Accounts with the Johnson Family
"No need to thank me, let's just move on from this." Andrew stood up calmly, poured her a glass of water, and said, "Here, drink some water to soothe your throat. You should also clean up a bit. Bianca will wake up soon, and she'll probably have questions if she sees you like this."
It was only then that Olivia realized how disheveled she looked.
First, she had jumped into the deep pit and knelt on the ground, getting dirt all over herself.
In her rush to get here, her hair had become messy, her clothes wrinkled, and her face probably still had streaks of tears.
If Bianca saw her like this, she would surely be scared.
Olivia took a sip of water and then awkwardly asked Andrew, "Can I use your bathroom?"
Andrew nodded and pointed her in the right direction.
She thanked him and hurried inside to clean up.
A little while later, she came out just as Bianca was waking up and talking to Andrew.
Olivia quickly went to the bedside and asked with concern, "Bianca, are you feeling okay?"
Bianca tilted her head, looking a bit confused. "Yeah, I'm fine. Why are you asking, Mommy?"
Olivia looked her over.
Bianca's eyes had regained their sparkle, and her expressions were lively, showing no signs of the earlier episode.
It seemed she had forgotten everything that happened tonight!
Olivia immediately hugged Bianca tightly and kissed her. "No reason, I just thought you slept for a long time and wanted to check. As long as you're okay."
Bianca nodded and snuggled into her arms.
Olivia glanced at Andrew with gratitude in her eyes.
Andrew's deep gaze was reassuring, as if to emphasize: Everything was fine now.
Bianca didn't notice their interaction. She looked around and asked Olivia in her sweet childlike voice, "Mommy, has Lightning come?"
Olivia answered gently, "No, Lightning hasn't come. Do you miss Lightning, Bianca?"
"Yeah," Bianca nodded seriously, "I miss him."
"Then I'll ask Yara to bring Lightning over for you, okay?"
Olivia was eager to pamper the newly recovered Bianca and would give her the best of everything.
"Okay!" Bianca agreed immediately.
Olivia didn't delay and quickly called Yara.
Yara arrived soon.
As soon as Lightning was back in the familiar setting, he ran around happily, his barks filled with joy.
Bianca chased after him, laughing and playing.
They were so adorable together!
Suddenly, a faint bark came from the training ground in the distance.
Lightning heard it and stopped in his tracks, a look of excitement and longing appearing on his furry face.
Bianca noticed and immediately looked up at Andrew. "Uncle Andrew, I think Lightning misses his mom..."
Andrew was surprised by Bianca's perceptiveness.
That direction was indeed where Lightning's mom was training.
Lightning had clearly recognized the bark.
But he hadn't expected Bianca to figure it out too.
He ruffled her hair and asked gently, "Do you want to take Lightning to see his mom, Bianca?"
Bianca nodded eagerly. "Yeah."
Sometimes when she missed Olivia, she really wanted to see her.
Lightning must feel the same way!
Andrew smiled indulgently. "Alright, let's go to the training ground then."
He reached out his hand to Bianca.
She immediately grabbed it.
In the night, Andrew's tall, noble figure, with his calm and gentle demeanor, looked down at her with warmth.
Bianca gazed up at him, her expression filled with unconditional trust.
Beside them was Lightning...
Olivia watched this scene, feeling a bit dazed.
She had always imagined father-daughter interactions to be like this.
But Michael had always been stingy with his affection.
Now, it was Andrew who was fulfilling that role.
Andrew had really helped Bianca a lot!
She didn't know how to repay this kindness!
Just as she was lost in thought, her phone rang, pulling her back to reality.
Olivia looked at the caller ID.
It was Michael!
Her expression darkened; she didn't want to answer at all.
What happened tonight made her unwilling to speak to Michael.
However, the call reignited her anger and reminded her that tonight's matter wasn't over.
Aiden, at such a young age, had been so malicious as to push someone into a pit.
If it weren't for the soft soil and good luck, Bianca could have been seriously hurt!
She wouldn't let him off easily!
With that in mind, Olivia put her phone away and found Andrew, asking him to take care of Bianca for a while.
Andrew had no objections. "It's fine. Lightning needs to train too. You can come back later."
Olivia felt assured leaving Bianca with him and contacted Evelyn to come pick her up.
When Evelyn arrived, she heard about what happened.
She was furious. "He's only four years old and already so vicious? What kind of monster will he grow up to be?"
"And Michael, what's wrong with him? If he can't take care of Bianca, why did he take her away? Does he even deserve to be a father?"
Olivia didn't respond.
Michael certainly didn't deserve it!
Otherwise, he wouldn't have waited so long to call after Bianca got hurt.
He must have been busy managing the party, afraid of losing face for the Johnson family!
Evelyn was fuming, cursing all the way until they reached the Johnson Mansion.
They got out of the car and headed straight for the banquet hall.
Hayden's birthday party was nearing its end.
Guests were enjoying the luxurious feast, and the Johnson family members were in high spirits, chatting and laughing without a care for Bianca's ordeal.
Olivia's eyes were cold, her anger boiling.
Especially when she saw Sophia and Aiden sitting with Amelia and Hayden, acting as if nothing had happened, happily interacting.
It was as if Bianca's episode meant nothing to them!
Evelyn was outraged. "Are they even human? Bianca went through all that, and they can still eat?"
Olivia didn't say anything, her face cold as she walked over to the table.
Chase was the first to see her and immediately demanded, "Olivia, what are you doing back here?"
Amelia and Hayden also frowned.
"Didn't you already take Bianca away? Are you here to cause trouble again?"
Olivia's gaze was icy as she said, "My daughter was pushed into a pit. Of course, I came back! I never imagined that, as Bianca's grandparents, after seeing her fall into that pit, you could still sit here and eat with this little monster!"
Amelia's eyes flickered with guilt, but Chase was indignant. "Olivia, stop making baseless accusations. Did you see Aiden push Bianca with your own eyes? How dare you spout such nonsense?"
Olivia was furious and didn't want to argue with Chase.
She looked coldly at Aiden. "Hand him over. If someone won't teach their son, then I'll do it for them and get justice for Bianca."
Sophia immediately shielded Aiden. "Olivia, Aiden may have taken Bianca to the garden, but you can't accuse him without proof! I believe my son wouldn't do such a thing!"
Evelyn's temper flared. "That little brat dragged Bianca to the garden with bad intentions, and you dare say such righteous words? Was he taking her to admire the flowers? Sophia, there's a limit to protecting your child. What he did could be considered attempted murder! If he were an adult, he'd be in jail by now, understand?"
She didn't lower her voice, and the nearby guests heard, casting curious glances their way.
They had vaguely heard about the incident in the garden but didn't know the details.
Now it seemed that Aiden from the Brown family had pushed the Johnson family's granddaughter?
Sophia's face changed, her eyes avoiding theirs.
Aiden, however, looked indifferent.
Amelia, sensing the tense atmosphere, worried that the Johnson family would be criticized again and immediately scolded, "Olivia, enough! Bianca isn't hurt, so it wasn't serious. Why are you making a scene over a child? Do you want to ruin the birthday party?"
Hayden also frowned, looking displeased. "Can't this wait until after the party? Do you have to cause a scene in front of everyone?"
Olivia saw that they were clearly trying to protect Aiden and felt her anger surge.
Bianca was their granddaughter, yet they were so cold-hearted.
She had fallen from such a height, had an episode, and all they could say was, "She isn't hurt!"
Did Bianca have to be seriously injured for them to consider it a big deal?
Olivia's anger was overwhelming. "This matter won't be brushed aside. Hand him over now!"
Sophia refused, and the Johnsons backed her up.
At that moment, Michael returned.
He had just been to the restroom and came back to see Olivia confronting the family. He quickly walked over.
As soon as Amelia saw him, she complained, "Michael, this woman is causing trouble again. Get her out of here, or your father's birthday party will be ruined."
Olivia glanced at him coldly, feeling no fear at his return.
What did it matter if Michael was back?
No one could stop her from seeking justice for Bianca tonight.
Michael noticed her gaze but didn't care. Instead, he asked, "Why didn't you answer my calls? Where's Bianca? How is she?"
"Do you really care about her?" Olivia's face was full of sarcasm. "Michael, if you cared about Bianca at all, you wouldn't have let Aiden stay here, acting like nothing happened, eating with everyone!"
Michael frowned. "I kept him here to apologize to Bianca..."
As he spoke, his gaze turned sharp, focusing on Aiden. "Aiden, you made a mistake tonight. You took Bianca to the garden, she fell into a pit, and you scared Olivia. Don't you think you should apologize?"
