Chapter 41 The Agreement with Andrew
The call connected quickly.
David picked up.
"Hey David, when's Mr. Hamilton coming to the military district?" Matthew asked casually.
Besides updating the team on the recovery, Matthew had to help Olivia meet Andrew. She'd just pulled off something pretty impressive.
David answered, "He's getting ready to head over. What's up? Something urgent?"
"Not exactly. Got some good news."
Matthew continued, "Remember that doctor Joseph brought in to treat the team? She's amazing. She checked out Ryan and Joshua today, found nerve damage in their brains right away. She treated them on the spot. Now they're both fully recovered!"
"Wait, seriously?" David was shocked and intrigued. Someone managed to treat patients whom Andrew had struggled with? That was rare!
"What's her name and background?"
Matthew replied, "Her name's Olivia, goes by 'Ella.' I think she's a friend of Joseph's. She's young but incredibly skilled!"
Even though Olivia wanted to keep a low profile, given the special nature of her patients, her identity was known.
David rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Alright, I'll let Mr. Hamilton know. We'll talk more when we meet."
"Got it."
After hanging up, David went straight to find Andrew.
Andrew had just changed clothes and was adjusting his cuffs, making the simple action look remarkably elegant.
He'd evidently overheard David's call and asked calmly, "Who was that?"
"Matthew. He said Ryan and Joshua have recovered. Someone treated them quickly and effectively."
"What?" Andrew raised an eyebrow. "Who?"
"A highly skilled doctor working with the team at the military district. Her name's Olivia."
Andrew paused at the name, then smiled slightly. "What a coincidence."
David was puzzled. "You know her?"
Andrew's eyes flickered. "She's Bianca's mom. The name on the tracking bracelet is hers."
David suddenly got it. "Bianca again? What are the odds!"
Andrew's lips curved subtly. "She's helped us out this time. Let's head to the military district. Maybe we'll run into her."
"Alright!" David went to get the car ready.
Before they left the underground garage, Andrew's phone rang.
He casually checked the message.
His voice came through, calm and steady, "Change of plans. We're going to the airport, back to Harmony City."
"What? So sudden?" David was caught off guard and hit the brakes.
Andrew's tone was cool, "Just got a top-secret S-level file."
David was stunned.
An S-level file meant an urgent mission!
He didn't delay, stepped on the gas, and headed straight for the airport.
When they arrived, a private jet was already waiting.
Initially, David was supposed to accompany him.
At the security checkpoint, Andrew paused and instructed, "You go to the military district and deliver something for me. Then head back to Harmony City."
David nodded, "Yes, Mr. Hamilton!"
After hanging up, Matthew went straight to Olivia to share the good news.
"Mr. Hamilton will be here soon," he said.
Olivia couldn't help but feel a bit excited.
While waiting, she rehearsed over and over in her mind how she would persuade him when he arrived.
But as time dragged on with no sign of a car, she began to worry.
Matthew had said the mysterious psychologist should be here within half an hour at most. Could it be that he wasn't coming after all?
Just as Olivia was starting to fret, the sound of a car engine finally came from outside.
She quickly went to check.
A somewhat familiar Rolls-Royce slowly drove in.
"He's here!" Matthew exclaimed, preparing to go out and greet them.
Naturally, Olivia, with Bianca, followed suit.
With hearts pounding, they stood ready as the car came to a stop.
Olivia's heart raced, her eyes locked on the back seat, eager to see the mysterious figure.
But the first door to open was the driver's seat!
David stepped out, dressed in a sharp suit, exuding a warm and elegant demeanor.
At first, Olivia thought he was the mysterious psychologist.
But Matthew spoke first, "David, you finally made it!"
David smiled calmly and approached, saying, "It's just me."
Matthew was stunned, "Mr. Hamilton... didn't come?"
David nodded, "On the way here, he received an urgent message and had to return to Harmony City immediately."
Olivia felt a wave of disappointment.
Matthew hadn't expected this either. But if Andrew left so suddenly, it must be for an urgent task. Naturally, that couldn't be delayed.
But wouldn't this mean Olivia's hopes were dashed again?
Matthew felt quite apologetic, instinctively wanting to comfort Olivia, but David spoke first, "You must be Dr. Garcia? I'm here to deliver something for Bianca."
Olivia was taken aback, "What?"
Bianca also looked up, puzzled.
David smiled and handed over a beautifully wrapped box. "This is a gift from Mr. Hamilton to Bianca. He also asked me to thank you for treating his patients. He wanted to come personally, but due to urgent matters, he had to leave, so I'm here on his behalf."
Olivia didn't feel much better, still filled with regret.
But Bianca's reaction was the opposite.
She was busy unwrapping the gift.
Inside the box was a finely crafted harmonica.
Judging by its craftsmanship and brand, it seemed custom-made and quite valuable!
There was also a music sheet included.
Bianca clearly loved it, holding it dearly and showing Olivia, "Mommy, look..."
Olivia glanced at it and suddenly realized something.
From sending paintings to encouraging Bianca to interact with animals, and now gifting a harmonica...
The mysterious psychologist had been guiding and treating Bianca for a long time!
Olivia quickly forgot her disappointment and asked David, "David, will Mr. Hamilton come back to Emerald City?"
David hesitated.
Typically, Andrew's whereabouts weren't disclosed casually.
But this was Bianca's mom, who seemed a bit different.
He finally answered, "Yes."
Olivia was overjoyed and asked, "Could you pass a message for me? When Mr. Hamilton returns to Emerald City, could he spare a few minutes to meet me?"
David raised an eyebrow. Olivia's intention wasn't hard to guess.
It was likely about Bianca's condition.
Andrew's stance on this was clear.
He would probably be willing to treat Bianca.
So, David agreed, "Sure, I'll pass the message for you!"
