Chapter 39 His Fate with Her Had Already Begun
Olivia bolted outside.
But two legs couldn't keep up with four wheels.
By the time she chased after it, the Rolls-Royce was already a good distance away, soon vanishing from sight.
Seeing this, Olivia felt a wave of disappointment.
After all the effort she put into finding that elusive psychologist, he was right there, and she missed him!
What was she going to do about Bianca now?
Only he could help Bianca fully recover!
She didn't even get a chance to properly ask him for help!
Matthew ran out after her.
He saw the car driving away too and glanced at Olivia.
Just moments ago, Olivia had been so efficient during the treatment, but now her face was filled with disappointment and sadness.
Matthew couldn't bear it and quickly tried to comfort her, "Dr. Garcia, don't worry. Mr. Hamilton's treatment isn't over yet. He'll be back tomorrow, and you'll likely get another chance to see him."
"Really?" Olivia's spirits lifted, a spark of hope rekindled.
Matthew nodded, "Our team members' issues aren't just physical injuries. Psychological counseling is equally important, and it can't be completed in just a few days. So, don't worry, you'll definitely get to see him."
Olivia's mood was instantly soothed.
Yes, this couldn't be rushed!
Moreover, that mysterious psychologist was always hard to meet. Just getting a glimpse of him was already a good sign.
Considering she couldn't even find any information on him before, this was a significant improvement.
Olivia comforted herself internally and calmed down, returning to continue treating the special forces members.
Before long, it was noon, and the first round of treatment was finished.
Since the treatment required immense energy, Olivia couldn't treat them all day long.
Matthew didn't push her and immediately had an aide bring Bianca back.
Bianca arrived with a little tail following her.
A small military dog ran circles around her playfully.
Bianca couldn't stop smiling and, as soon as she saw Olivia, she exclaimed, "Mommy, look! This is my friend."
Olivia was a bit surprised.
Usually, Bianca spoke slowly, and when she said long sentences, she often paused.
But just now, her speech was clear and fluent.
And the sparkle in Bianca's eyes was something Olivia hadn't seen before!
Even though Bianca had been improving lately, she had never been this lively!
As Olivia was feeling amazed, Bianca seemed to remember something and pulled out a piece of paper from her little backpack.
Handing it over, she said in a sweet childlike voice, "And this, it's a drawing from the nice man... He said I'm like 'Lightning,' a cute little fairy."
Olivia was puzzled.
Who was this nice man?
Who was Lightning?
Despite her confusion, she took the paper and opened it.
Then she saw another captivating drawing.
The picture depicted Bianca playing with the puppy.
Bianca's face was lit up with a smile Olivia had never seen before, and the puppy was chasing her, its legs lifted as if ready to pounce.
Though it was a simple scene, the artist had rendered it so vividly and lifelike.
The innocence and liveliness of the child and the puppy were perfectly captured.
After looking at the drawing, Olivia suddenly asked, "The nice man you mentioned... could he be the same one who gave you the drawing last time?"
The unique abstract style was unmistakable.
Bianca nodded, "Yes!"
Two aides standing nearby chimed in, "Mr. Hamilton really likes your daughter. He was teaching her how to interact with 'Lightning' just now."
Olivia realized that 'Lightning' was the name of the small military dog beside them.
She was taken aback.
This sudden influx of information was hard to grasp.
So, the person Bianca met who gave her the drawing wasn't just some street artist but the mysterious psychologist Olivia had been desperate to find?
Olivia was stunned by the revelation.
Bianca had already met the psychologist, while Olivia had been searching everywhere!
For a moment, Olivia didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the twist of fate.
But soon, she realized something important.
Bianca had shown significant improvement just from brief interactions with him.
Especially after seeing his drawings, she had developed a keen interest in drawing, showcasing her unique talent.
How skilled must he be to achieve that?
Most importantly, in such a short time today, he managed to guide Bianca to play and interact with the puppy so well.
Watching Bianca command the puppy to sit, lie down, and shake hands, looking nothing like a child with autism, Olivia couldn't contain her excitement.
She was certain that if he treated Bianca, she would definitely recover!
Understanding this, Olivia didn't care if she was being too forward. She turned to Matthew with earnestness in her voice, "Tomorrow, if Mr. Hamilton comes again, please, please introduce me to him. I really, really want to ask him to treat my daughter."
Matthew had no objections, "Don't worry, I'll keep an eye out for you."
"Thank you!" Olivia's face was full of gratitude.
Later, Bianca and Olivia left the military district.
On the way back, Olivia couldn't help but ask Bianca more about the mysterious psychologist.
"What does the nice man look like? How old is he? Does he have any distinctive features?"
Bianca's vocabulary was still limited, and she couldn't describe him well.
She tilted her head and thought for a moment, then said, "The nice man is handsome, he smells good... He held my hand and played with Lightning..."
The last part was completely off-topic.
But Olivia was still surprised.
Because of her psychological issues, Bianca was extremely averse to strangers' touch.
But with the mysterious psychologist, it seemed she didn't mind at all.
Olivia couldn't help but ask, "Bianca, do you like the nice man?"
Bianca nodded without hesitation, "Yes... he's nice... he protects me."
This response surprised Olivia even more.
From Bianca's tone, it was clear she trusted and relied on the mysterious psychologist.
How did he manage that?
Bianca had only seen him twice, yet she already held him in such high regard!
Even Michael had never received such praise!
Olivia's feelings were incredibly complex.
Michael, as the child's father, was outdone by someone who had only met her twice.
This wasn't just negligence; it was failure!
Fortunately, she had no expectations from him.
Now, she was more eager to meet the mysterious psychologist who could truly help Bianca!
