Chapter 37 Quite a Fate
That night, Olivia had no clue what Michael felt after seeing those three paintings.
She didn't care if he had changed his mind about Bianca either.
Once the divorce was finalized, she would take Bianca far away from him.
By then, he would be a non-factor!
The next morning, Michael was off on another business trip, and Olivia couldn't have cared less.
Her mind was entirely focused on seeing the psychologist as soon as possible.
Only he could help Bianca fully recover!
The waiting process was inevitably tough.
After two anxious days, the appointment day finally arrived.
Early in the morning, Joseph sent a car to pick her up.
Olivia decided not to leave Bianca at home today.
She figured that since she didn't know what would convince the psychologist, she might as well bring Bianca along.
Bianca was so adorable; maybe the psychologist would feel compelled to treat such a young patient suffering from autism.
After all, Olivia herself couldn't resist helping whenever she saw patients in pain!
Joseph had obviously made arrangements, and there were no objections to her bringing Bianca along.
So, they got in the car and headed straight to the military district.
Upon arrival, they had to go through identity checks and verification to get an access pass.
Even before she got out of the car, Olivia could feel the stern atmosphere outside.
After entering the district, the car drove a bit further before stopping in front of a building.
Someone was already waiting outside.
This time, the person welcoming Olivia was a captain from the Special Forces.
Joseph had mentioned him before they came.
Matthew Moore was younger than Joseph but held a much higher position!
He had led the Special Forces through countless dangerous missions.
Olivia recognized him almost immediately.
Matthew's commanding presence was overwhelming; he exuded authority without anger, standing tall and solid like a spear, creating an intense sense of pressure.
Behind him were several soldiers, equally imposing.
Olivia felt a bit intimidated at first, but quickly regained her composure and greeted him confidently, "Mr. Moore, hello, I'm the doctor Joseph recommended!"
Matthew was pleasantly surprised by her calm demeanor.
She had guts!
Compared to the soldiers who usually showed fear when meeting him, she was much stronger.
Matthew secretly admired her and immediately stepped forward to shake hands and exchange pleasantries.
After a few words, he got straight to the point, "Dr. Garcia, Joseph has always praised your medical skills. I'll leave the treatment in your capable hands!"
"Rest assured, I'll give it my all." Olivia responded earnestly.
Matthew was very pleased with her attitude and quickly led them into the treatment hall.
Upon entering, Olivia saw the Special Forces soldiers lined up neatly.
Each one stood straight, their demeanor solemn, showing no signs of injury or weakness, instead exuding a fierce and resolute aura!
Olivia couldn't help but feel immense respect.
She then said directly, "Mr. Moore, shall we start?"
Matthew had no objections.
Since the upcoming treatment was extensive, Bianca wouldn't be convenient to have around, so Matthew had arranged for two female staff members to take care of her.
Bianca was initially a bit scared, but obediently followed when she knew Olivia was busy.
As Olivia followed her out, she glanced at the open area outside.
She had observed earlier that there was only one parking area from the entrance of the military district.
If the psychologist arrived, she would spot him immediately.
Matthew would likely go out to greet him!
After collecting her thoughts, Olivia began the treatment.
Upon closer examination, she found that the Special Forces soldiers had few external injuries.
They had likely been treated by military doctors right after returning from the battlefield.
The remaining injuries were mostly internal and invisible.
Conditions like acute rheumatism, muscle tears, partial nerve damage, and bone inflammation were rampant...
Due to the accumulation of injuries and the lack of immediate treatment, these old ailments inevitably caused them pain over the years.
For most doctors, these issues might seem insurmountable, and they'd probably recommend rest.
But for Olivia, this was her specialty.
Her medical skills were perfectly suited for the task!
Without any delay, Olivia started treating the soldiers. Given the enormity of the task, Matthew had arranged for medical assistants to help.
These were professional military doctors, efficient and quick, reducing her workload significantly.
During the treatment, Olivia kept an eye on the vehicles coming and going outside.
Matthew noticed.
He knew Olivia's purpose for agreeing to come, so he had been keeping an eye out from the beginning.
Unfortunately, the person she wanted to meet hadn't appeared yet.
Meanwhile, in a corner of the district's square, Bianca was happily munching on snacks under the care of the two staff members.
They clearly adored Bianca.
Not only was she adorable, but her cheeks puffed up like a hamster when she ate.
One look at her, and their hearts melted, wishing they could give her all the best things in the world.
Unfortunately, the resources in the district were limited.
They only managed to find some snacks and various balls for her to play with.
Bianca wasn't very interested in the balls but was captivated by a small military puppy in the corner.
The puppy was probably only two months old, wearing a name tag and a collar with a bell.
It wasn't afraid of people and ran over to Bianca's legs, wagging its tail.
The puppy's fluffy fur made it even more adorable.
Bianca's eyes lit up, and she stopped eating her snacks, immediately chasing after the little dog with her short legs.
The two staff members were charmed by their cuteness, wishing they could take them both home.
Meanwhile, in an office on the second floor to the left of the square.
The door to a psychology treatment room was pushed open from the inside, and a tall figure emerged.
The man was dressed in a shirt and a white coat, his long legs wrapped in dress pants, giving him a reserved and professional look. The gold-rimmed glasses on his nose softened his features, adding a touch of elegance.
David, who was waiting outside, stepped forward to take the gloves the man had just removed, his eyes instinctively scanning the room behind him.
Inside was a fully enclosed psychology treatment room.
It was dark, with no visible light.
But the Special Forces soldiers who had been treated often emerged either calm and emotionless or visibly agitated, as if experiencing something profound.
Anyone else might not believe that the treatment was complete.
But David knew that once his boss came out, it meant these men were essentially cured.
No one dared to question this man's abilities!
His mere presence represented authority and unwavering trust.
"Tired? I have coffee ready for you." David followed the man, speaking respectfully.
The man walked to the window, reviewing the treatment records. Hearing David, he didn't look up, only extending a hand adorned with a luxury watch.
His hand was well-defined and strikingly attractive.
David hurriedly handed him the coffee.
The man took it and closed the file.
The treatment had been lengthy, but all the Special Forces personnel had been thoroughly guided, allowing him to finally take a break.
He handed the file to David, took a sip of coffee, and his gaze casually drifted outside, catching sight of Bianca and the puppy chasing each other.
He raised an eyebrow, a hint of surprise in his eyes.
David saw it too and could hardly believe his eyes.
How did that girl end up here?
"Quite the coincidence, huh?" David said.
The man's eyes showed a slight ripple of emotion as he lightly curved his lips, saying, "It seems we were meant to meet."
