Chapter 25 Teaching Sophia a Lesson

Chapter 25 Teaching Sophia a Lesson

Evelyn sighed, "So, the other day, in the southwest corner where you guys were, a bunch of stores' security cameras went on the fritz. We couldn't track whoever it was."

Olivia's eyebrows shot up, "No way, that's too convenient!"

Why did they have to break down right then?

She shook it off and focused on dinner.

Later, after they finished eating, Olivia got up to use the restroom.

Downstairs in the restaurant, Michael and Sophia had also arrived for dinner.

Michael had reserved the table.

Since they showed up late, they had to sit by the window in the main hall.

Michael, ever the gentleman, pulled out a chair for her and said warmly, "This place serves your favorite food. It's super authentic!"

"That's awesome! I hardly ever get to enjoy it when I'm abroad!" Sophia's face lit up with excitement.

She was wearing a white dress today, highlighting her gentle demeanor. Her pearl earrings swayed slightly, adding an extra touch of elegance.

Michael couldn't help but be captivated by her.

He complimented, "Those earrings look great on you. Really beautiful!"

Sophia blushed, "You have good taste…"

Upstairs in the private dining room hallway, as Olivia returned from the restroom, she glanced down and saw the scene.

Michael, who was usually cold towards her, now had a gentle expression, fixated on the person across from him.

It seemed his eyes held only her!

Olivia's eyes darkened, but her expression stayed unusually calm.

Compared to Michael's nights away, just having dinner with Sophia was hardly a shock anymore.

However, Bianca was here today.

She didn't want Bianca to witness this scene.

Olivia turned away and went back into the private room, planning to leave quickly.

As she turned, Sophia downstairs seemed to sense something.

She looked up and vaguely saw a figure.

Was that Olivia?

Was she here for dinner too?

Could she be following her and Michael?

Sophia felt smug and had no intention of telling Michael.

If it annoyed Olivia, all the better!

Inside the private room, Olivia entered and said to her friend, "Let's pack up and head home."

Evelyn agreed, "Sure, but I need to wash my hands. They're a bit greasy from dinner."

"Alright, hurry back." Olivia said as she began packing Bianca's toys.

Evelyn had sharper eyes than Olivia.

As soon as she stepped out, she saw Sophia and Michael downstairs, serving each other food.

Her temper flared instantly.

Especially thinking about the injustice Olivia had suffered, she was furious.

These shameless people dared to flaunt their affair in public!

It was disgusting!

Evelyn was so angry she rolled up her sleeves, ready to go downstairs and give them a piece of her mind.

But before she could, Sophia had already stood up and headed towards the restroom.

Evelyn narrowed her eyes and coldly followed.

When Evelyn reached the restroom, she didn't see Sophia but heard some noise from one of the stalls.

Evelyn quickly scanned the area.

There were several mops by the sink.

She grabbed one and wedged it against the stall door handle.

Today, she was determined to teach this two-faced Sophia a lesson!

Satisfied, she clapped her hands and left happily.

After a while, Sophia tried to leave the restroom.

She pulled the door handle but found it wouldn't open.

"What the heck?" Sophia was puzzled and pulled harder.

Still, it wouldn't budge!

She suddenly remembered hearing high heels and a light thud earlier.

She hadn't paid attention then, but now she realized she might have been pranked.

Who could it be?

Sophia immediately assumed it was Olivia.

She angrily shouted, "Olivia, did you do this? Let me out! How childish can you be?"

No matter how much she yelled, no one responded.

Eventually, Michael rescued her.

Michael, noticing her prolonged absence, had a server check, discovering Sophia trapped inside.

"Do you know who did this?" Michael's face showed anger.

Sophia, looking pitiful, hesitated, "I think... I saw Olivia earlier. She might still be upset about me taking the director position. Maybe we should give it back to her, Michael. I don't want her to be unhappy."

Her eyes reddened as she spoke, looking thoroughly wronged.

Michael frowned, "Are you sure it was her?"

Sophia lowered her gaze, "I don't think I was mistaken. She might still be around."

Michael's face darkened as he called Robert, "Check if Olivia is still in the restaurant. If you see her, stop her immediately."

Robert responded, "Yes, Mr. Johnson."

At this moment, Olivia and Evelyn were already in the parking lot with Bianca.

Evelyn's face was bright with satisfaction after venting her anger for Olivia.

Olivia noticed and couldn't help but tease, "Why are you so happy after using the restroom? Did you find money?"

Evelyn grinned, "Better than finding money! I ran into Sophia in the restroom and was so mad that I used a mop to lock her in! She's probably going crazy now. I can't stand homewreckers and always want to teach them a lesson!"

Olivia chuckled, knowing Evelyn was venting for her.

As Evelyn and Olivia reached the car, Robert arrived.

He stood in front of the car and said formally, "Ms. Smith, Ms. Thomas, Mr. Johnson has ordered you not to leave."

Olivia's eyes darkened.

Michael was quick!

Bianca, having just eaten, was already sleepy in Olivia's arms.

To avoid disturbing her, Olivia placed her in the back seat to sleep.

Evelyn, not one to be trifled with, snapped, "Move."

Robert calmly replied, "Sorry, I'm just following orders."

Evelyn's eyes flashed with anger, ready to push him aside when Michael arrived with Sophia.

Michael strode over and immediately demanded, "Did you lock Sophia in the restroom?"

Sophia, behind him, timidly tugged his sleeve, "Michael, it's not a big deal. Don't be mad at Olivia."

Olivia was disgusted by Sophia's two-faced act.

She ignored them and met Michael's gaze.

Michael's bias was clear, assuming she was guilty without asking for details.

This wasn't the first time!

Olivia's heart felt like it was pierced by ice.

She thought, since Michael already believed it, she might as well admit it.

Evelyn had done it for her; she couldn't let her take the blame.

But Evelyn was quicker.

She glared at Michael, "Why question Olivia? I did it. I locked her in!"

Sophia seemed surprised but timidly said, "But I don't even know you. Why would you..."

She didn't finish, but implied someone might have directed it.

Michael's face darkened, looking at Olivia with disappointment, "You've gone too far, repeatedly targeting Sophia. She often defends you. Olivia, when will you learn to be more understanding like her?"

Olivia felt like she heard a joke. "Learn from her? Her fake front? Sorry, I can't!"

She didn't want to argue further.

Since she was already blamed, no need for more words. She got into the back seat.

Evelyn wanted to curse, but saw Olivia's desire to leave, so she got into the driver's seat.

Michael's face darkened, grabbing the car door, "Olivia, apologize to Sophia now!"

Olivia, expressionless, ignored him and shut the door.

"Evelyn, drive!"

"Sure." Evelyn started the car.

The others remained standing.

Evelyn, annoyed, honked several times and rolled down the window, "Move! I'm a new driver. If I mix up the gas and brake and hit you, don't blame me for any injuries!"
