Alpha Alexander's POV
For the next few days, I found myself constantly drawn to Vanessa, unable to stay away. Though I kept my distance to avoid startling her, I couldn't resist leaving small gestures to show my affection and support.
On the first morning, she found a fresh bouquet of lilies placed delicately on her doorstep. I had spent hours finding the most beautiful ones, their white petals a symbol of purity and new beginnings-just like her lycan. Alongside the flowers, I left a small note:
**"For the brightest part of my day."**
The next day, I made sure her favorite tamarind candies were waiting for her. This time, they were artfully arranged in a glass jar with a ribbon tied around it. Attached was another note:
**"A sweet treat for a sweet soul."**
On the third day, I decided to do something different. Knowing how much she loved the stars, I left a beautifully illustrated book about constellations on her porch, wrapped in simple brown paper with a message:
**"For the nights when the sky speaks to you."**
Each evening, I would watch from a distance, concealed by the shadows, as she discovered these tokens. The look of surprise and delight on her face made every effort worthwhile.
On the fourth day, I noticed her favorite scarf had seen better days. So, I found a luxurious cashmere scarf in her favorite color and left it neatly folded on the bench outside her apartment. The note with it read:
**"To keep you warm and remind you of my presence."**
By the fifth day, I felt a growing desire to do something more personal. I left a small hand-carved wooden wolf figurine on her windowsill, symbolizing the connection we shared-the lycan and a wolf. The note said:
**"A reminder of the bond that ties us together, even when we are apart."**
Throughout these days, I remained a silent guardian, watching over her from the periphery, ensuring her safety while trying to convey my feelings through these thoughtful gestures. Each small act was a piece of my heart, laid out for her to see, hoping she would understand the depth of my affection and the sincerity of my intentions.
As the days went by, my heart swelled each time I saw Vanessa respond to my gestures. Twice, I caught her smiling as she read my notes, her face lighting up with a joy that made my chest tighten with emotion.
The first time, she stood on her doorstep, holding the bouquet of lilies. I watched from my hidden vantage point as she read the note, her lips curling into a soft, genuine smile. She lifted the flowers to her face, inhaling their sweet scent, and I could see the happiness in her eyes. It was a small victory, but it meant everything to me.
Another day, I saw her finding the jar of tamarind candies. She picked it up, examining the ribbon and the neatly written note. As she read my words, a giggle escaped her lips-a sound so pure and sweet that it echoed in my mind long after she had gone inside. That giggle was a melody, a sign that perhaps I was starting to break through her defenses. I knew my efforts were not going in vain. Vanessa is a simple girl, and small things make her happy. She made those tattoos to make people think she has changed, but deep down she is still that same girl that grew up with my children-the one I have always loved, not knowing she was going to be my mate. The one with the softest spot in my heart.
In the evening I left the book about constellations, I lingered a bit longer, hoping to see her reaction. She unwrapped the book carefully, and as she traced her fingers over the cover, I saw a look of wonder cross her face. Her smile broadened, and she hugged the book to her chest, glancing around as if sensing my presence. My heart raced, knowing I had touched a part of her that she held dear. Each of these moments reassured me that my efforts were not in vain.
Vanessa's smiles and giggles were treasures, small windows into her heart that I cherished deeply. They fueled my determination to keep showing her how much she meant to me, one thoughtful gesture at a time. I want her in my arms.
Determined to show Vanessa just how much she meant to me, I decided to go the extra mile. After all the thoughtful gestures, I wanted to give her something truly special. I remembered the countless times I had noticed her admiring jewelry online. The only way to get it exactly right was to see what had caught her eye, so I discreetly hacked into her phone to check her browsing history. There it was: a stunning piece of jewelry she had viewed multiple times-a delicate necklace with a sapphire pendant, framed by diamonds and set in platinum. Like her gorgeous ice. It was elegant, sophisticated, and perfectly suited to her taste. I could picture it around her neck, the blue of the sapphire mirroring the depth of her eyes.
I spared no expense and purchased the necklace, ensuring it was beautifully packaged in a luxurious velvet box. On the day of the delivery, I carefully placed the box on her doorstep, among the lilies that had become a staple of my daily gestures. Alongside it, I left a handwritten note:
**"For the woman who deserves the world, a small token of my admiration. May this necklace remind you of the beauty and strength you possess. -Alex"**
From my hidden vantage point, I watched as Vanessa discovered the box. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she carefully opened it, revealing the sparkling necklace inside. Her breath caught, and for a moment, she simply stared at it, a mix of astonishment and delight crossing her features. As she read the note, a soft smile spread across her lips, and I saw the hint of tears glistening in her eyes. She traced the pendant with her fingers, clearly touched by the gesture. My heart pounded with a mix of relief and joy, knowing I had brought a bit of happiness into her life. I think I saw a tear.
Seeing her reaction, I felt a renewed determination to keep showing her how much she meant to me. Each gesture, each thoughtful act, was a step closer to healing the past and building a future together. Vanessa was worth every effort, and I would continue to prove it, one meaningful gift at a time. It's time.
