Chapter 64 Favourite
Chapter 64 Favourite
We lay on the bed for a long time, no words said, just listening to our heartbeats. I felt complete at that moment, my face full of smiles. It seemed like the problems of weeks ago didn't happen, that we just woke up from a dream.
Mitch reached out for me and held my right hand, prompting me to look down at him. I smiled, and he mirrored the expression, his eyes cringing at the sides.
"Thank you for choosing us, darling," he mouthed, showing off his perfect white teeth.
Mike was the only one with not too straight teeth. Though, you wouldn't notice if you weren't looking closely. Mitch was the one who knocked it off during a play fight, and it came up wrongly.
I nodded, grinning. The others reached towards me, making certain they were touching a part of my body.
They cocooned me in their warmth, with no desire to let go. They were mine like it was meant to be. Our love was tested and though we came out with scars, we were still together.
"I was wondering about the mating ceremony," Mitch stated, the statement a bit sudden since I wasn't expecting that.
"That mating ceremony?" I asked to be certain I wasn't hearing words, and those were the words he said.
He nodded. "We can't put it off until they recognize you. We want you to have our mark."
"Yes, we do," Mike added, reaching out to run his hand through my hair. "We need you to be ours fully. Even if they won't accept you, we will proceed with the ceremony. Father would want us to do that."
"That's right," Miles agreed. "We have put it off far too long. Had we marked you, what happened a few weeks ago wouldn't have occurred."
I didn't say a word because I was trying to figure out what this would mean for us. As much as I would have loved to be marked by them, for the pack to know their alphas were taken, I was aware of what the support of the pack would mean to them.
"Why don't you give me some time to think about this? I mean, it's almost the same as getting a human wedding. We would -"
"We will still have that." Mitch leaned towards me and placed a kiss on the back of my palm, smiling when I blushed a deep scarlet. "We will observe all the traditions humans keep. Getting marked during the full moon is ours. It's only right that we also consider yours."
I shed a tear at that, looking down at him with love. It might seem impossible, but I fell more in love with his words.
"We can't wait to see you in white, walking down the aisle to meet us," Mike added with a wink.
"The priest will have a heart attack!" I joked, chuckling when they laughed.
"They will be thrilled to see us, trust me." Mike placed a kiss on my forehead. "We will create a history for them. Who knows, they might even start the practice!"
"And subject the women to a life of fucking three beasts? Who even wants that?" I wrinkled my nose at the thoughts, causing them to explode into another round of laughter.
"Tell me, darling. Are we beasts?" Mitch asked, sobering up.
I sat up at his words, wincing when I felt a dull ache between my legs. "Fuck you all!" I growled.
Instead of being apologetic, they burst into another fit of laughter.
"That's not funny!" I pouted, folding my arms. "You almost broke my thighs!"
"Because you asked for it," Mitch whispered, sitting up. "Who was it that tempted us first with your lustrous body? You took our breath away with it, making us succumb to the lures of your seduction?" He placed his hand on the small of my back, leaning close to place his head on my shoulder.
"Why did I feel like Mitch is always trying to steal our baby girl for himself?" Mike asked, sitting up. "He's constantly acting like a saint. I bet he intends to whisk her away when we are not looking!" "That's true." Miles nodded, supporting him. "I feel like we need to do something if we don't want him to take us unawares. You can't trust your twin, that is."
Mitch burst into laughter at their words, while I watched them, wondering whether they were joking or not. They looked serious, which was why I couldn't tell if they were playing with me or pulling my legs.
"Why? You guys seem to have caught up fast. Well, I still have time to plan more. Who knows, I might steal her away tonight." He leaned down and pecked my left cheek. "Which of us do you like more, darling?" He asked, winking at the end..
"She will surely choose me. I'm the most handsome," Mike said, flashing a smile my way. "I make our meals most of the time. Of course, I'm her best bet."
"And me? I'm the funniest. And I drive the car. I'm the one she will choose, not your old men. Right, baby girl?" He winked, flashing his teeth.
Mitch scoffed. "We all share the same face so that one isn't up for debate. If she's going with our faces, she would pick us all. But not to boast, she will choose me because I'm the darling!" He hugged me tight, almost pressing the life out of me.
"Hey!" I hit his left arm. "Let me go, you beast!"
The other chuckled at that, while he pouted, relaxing his hold a bit but not letting go. "It's not fair, darling. Why am I the only one getting yelled at here? You seem to have gotten favourites!" He accused, still pouting.
"Because none of them are acting like a kid. How old are you? Seven?"
"I can be anything for you, my darling. If you want me to be five, I can be for you. Just give your word and I will change to your taste."
I wrinkled my nose at that, pursing my lips with my eyes narrowed at him. "You know what? Why don't you guys return to your game of chess? I need to rest." I plopped down on the bed, successfully
getting Mitch to let go.
"Not when we have something more interesting in here," Mike said, lying back on the bed. "We will have a nap with you, darling. After this, we can go swimming."
"Or have a dip in the hot spring. I heard they have a hot spring. We can -"
"Shh." I placed my index finger across my lips. "It's time to sleep, my babies." I closed my eyes.
"Sweet dreams." They murmured as each of them kissed me before lying back on the bed, a sigh escaping their lips.
A small smile played on my lips. This might be the start of our story, but I was as content as I could be.
