ELIANA’S POV:-

I was in complete disbelief when I found out Armiz died protecting Denzel, he knew he couldn’t live with the anguish and gave up on his life as a heavy compensation.

After his respectful burial and a moment of anguish, Denzel was in our room, hanging his head low with ceaseless gloom.

His destruction was at the edge, gripping on the sheets angrily.

“Denzel…” Whispering his name softly, I sat beside him, taking his hand in mine for reassurance.

“Eliana,”

“Hmm?”

“At least I didn’t bid him with regrets and anguish… he was at peace,”

Unlocking the words he buried, he glanced at me with tears gleaming in his eyes, losing his breaths, pain worsening his condition.

“He didn’t meet a miserable end… I didn’t let it… he smiled… but…”

He started panting, holding onto me as support agonizingly.

“But, Eliana,”

And he failed to carry the agony in his chest. My eyes locked on him shattered him and he broke into a miserable wail.

“He was my brother! I never hated him!”

Gripping my shoulders, he rested his head on my shoulder as I allowed him to empty his heart and he continued sobbing.

The anguished sound pierced my heart, it brought tears to my eyes as well, unable to bear the resonance of it.

“I know, Denzel, I know you don’t,” I whispered, running my fingers through his hair, pressing him against me.

His tears soaked my shoulders, humming to his ears, easing him up. He was weeping but I didn’t stop him.

But, let him hollow his heart.

“I helped him but… my heart… how will I convince my heart?”

He pulled away a little, pointing at his heart with tears glistening in his eyes endlessly.

Inhaling sharply, he endeavored to hold his cries back and ended up crying more painfully.

“Would that have killed me if I had lowered my ego and went back to my brother?!”

“What have I done, Eliana!?”

“Why didn’t I remain cold till the end?! I freed him from guilt but now I have to carry one for the rest of my life,”

Encasing him in my arms, I kissed the top of his head, allowing him to weep his heart out in my heart.

The sound of it was unendurable for me as well but for the solace of his heart, I allowed him to cry until he couldn’t produce further tears.

“I am sure he doesn’t want you to ruin yourself,” I murmured, holding his face in my hands, wiping those undesirable tears.

“I feel horrible, Eliana, I am the worst brother,”

“No, you are not, Denzel,”

Resting my forehead against him, I held his hand rigidly.

“It’s okay, move on, if you will be happy, his soul will be happy too,”

Causing him to follow the sync of my breaths to relax him scattered from a little.

Sniffling, he lifted his crushing gaze, tilting his head as I removed those tears.

“You think?”

He paused as I kissed his forehead, providing his ravaged soul serenity by my consolation.

“Most certainly.”

We remained like this, he kept on holding me as we shared a soft moment, suppressing pain in our heart.

Closing our eyes, we remained like this, becoming a source of comfort for each other, becoming each other’s solace.

… What else did we need when we had each other after all?...

Later that week, we visited his grave, Matthew and Anthony were gloomy, placing the flowers on his grave, they smiled faintly.

“Rest in peace, Uncle, may your soul be free and happy,”

With a bow of respect, they ran after Lucas whose wounds hadn’t healed yet and sat in the car as we stayed for a little longer.

“I will take care of Albert for you, my brother, rest assured,” Denzel promised sincerely and no doubt he did.

The second Albert came under our care, he started consulting the best doctors for his treatment, doing his best to wake him up.

“It’s alright, I am here for you and will be forever,” I whispered as well, holding Denzel.

“If that’s so then would you like to marry me? I want to be yours legally too,” He said in a teasing tone but I was dead serious.

“With pleasure,”

“You hear that, asshole? I am going to marry her now…”

He smirked but tears gleamed, his lips quivered, he attempted very hardly to speak straight.

But ended up crying a little while faking a laugh.

“Try to stop us,”

“Try to take her now,”

“She is all mine now,”

And abruptly a strong but warm breeze blew that wrapped us in a tender sheet, increasing our heart rate as the wind indirectly felt like blessing.

Widening his anguish smile as he lowered his head and wiped his eyes and whispered to himself.

“Thanks for the blessing,”

I smiled too, wrapping my both hands around his arm as he rested his head over my shoulder, closing his eyes to sink in the warmth.

And we stayed there until his heart was liberated from grief before returning to our lives with the intention of ‘no sorrows anymore,’

FOUR MONTHS LATER.

I couldn’t believe it, the moment I was dreaming to attain was here. The day of my marriage had arrived.

There I was, looking exquisite in my wedding dress, indulging in the sight where my life would be eternally bound to my beloved.

With my chest brimming in felicity, a never ending grin was engraved on my face and from now on, it would never vanish.

My chest boosted with pride to become Mrs. Reynolds.

“It’s time, Mama, let’s go!” The two handsome boys who were supposed to walk me down the aisle came.

Giggling, I nodded and set my veil as they gracefully handed me the flowers.

“Here, My Lady,”

“Did Lucas teach you?”

“Nope, Papa,” They both grinned.

“Well, thank you, Knights. Let’s go,”

Chuckling, I kissed the top of their heads as we walked down the aisle and when my eyes fell on my handsome man, looking eye-catching in a white suit.

His hair combed perfectly, a brooch on the front, enhancing his grace that dried my throat.

“My Lord, so handsome,”

The boys heard it and laughed, “Isn’t he?”

His one hand in his pocket, a smirk lingering as those eyes scanned me from top to bottom temptingly, increasing the heat in my body.

The second I stopped at the altar, he smirked darkly, eyes observing me to please his heartfelt desire.

“My, my, you look angelic, sweetheart- Oh, what am I saying? You ‘are’ angelic, the happiness, the peace of my life,”

“I know, now take my hand,”

“Ah, right, right,”

I smirked back as he gallantly offered his hand which I took and climbed the altar, our hands locked when we exchanged vows and said ‘I do’s.

The most unforgettable moment of my life.

The day I became his forever, offering my life, my soul, my breaths, all of me to him.

“I pronounce you as husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride,”

Grinning, we both laughed at the same time, “Finally,”

“Eliana…”

Smoothly snaking his hand around my waist, he pressed our bodies against each other, creating a perfect inclined position, lifting my veil.

“Hmm?”

“Thank you for choosing me under all conditions, for loving me always, I feel blessed, honored to be your mate,” He spoke seductively, blending breaths, creating a magical moment between.

Gradually tears brimmed in our eyes, lost in the exhilaration as he laughed a little.

“And now, your husband,”

Releasing a tear of happiness, I placed my hand over his neck, “What can I say? You are my Alpha, my protector,”

“I am made for you, Eliana is all yours, she could never imagine her life without Denzel,” I whispered sincerely, in my most charming, affectionate tone, brushing my nose against his.

“Her and her souls belongs to her soon-to-be husband,”

“Halt, Lady, I might not die from too much glee,”

I laughed a little as we both rested our forehead against each other gleefully.

Holding onto each other will all our might with the intention of never letting go- we won’t anyways.

Ending the chapter of endless tribulation with a sweet kiss on the forehead.

…The kiss which marked the new beginning in our lives where we will live happily ever after with our sons…
