Chapter # 110

“Where the fuck is she, Armiz!?”

We had been arguing for the past ten minutes.

Everyone from his pack gathered when I hit his chest furiously.

“I told you, I don’t know! She didn’t return,”

Her disappearance made me lose myself, my breaths were heavy, my mind barely functioning properly. I was explicitly delighted at our reunion.

“I never took her then where did she go!?”

“Who knows?”

I believed her spell would be lifted off, so exhilarated to become hers and forget all our pain.

And I was hundred percent sure it was another of his tricks to agonize me.

No one dared to interfere, he was monotonous, not leaving his cigarette while I glared at him breathlessly.

“What have you done to her?” I hissed.

He furrowed his brow, “Come again?”

“What did you do to my Eliana, Armiz?”

“Do you truly think I would bring physical harm to the ones you love?” He hissed back.

Throwing the cigarette away as he glared back.

“If I wanted to kill her, I would have easily done it when she escaped to France,”

A hint of disappointment flashed in his eyes but I was defeated before my incapabilities while he continued.

I knew he wouldn’t but… I didn't know what took over me.

“You should be grateful that I am not a ruthless murder like you who doesn’t think twice before murdering the people we call ours,”

“You have lost your mind, get lost and search for her instead of yelling at me,”

Snarling, he was about to walk away and since she disappeared on his domain, I started to believe firmly it was his doing to anguish me.

And immersed in that wrath, I took things far by punching him across his jaw, staggering everyone at my unforeseen action.

“Then give her back to me, asshole!”

It took him a while to realize what happened as I grabbed his collar furiously and continued liberating my wrath.

“Aren’t you done tormenting me!? Why do you always steal people I love from me!?”

Probably the words I would have never spoken openly but in a moment of spite, I mindlessly did- I shouldn’t have.

“First our parents, Olivia, then manipulated Kyle, made Eliana leave, put her in a spell too…”

“...What?”

“How much more do you want me to suffer? Why aren’t you fucking done?!”

On the verge of shattering into a sob, I yelled breathlessly, glaring at him with tears filling my eyes as everything painfully flashed before me.

And I yelled what bothered me all these years.

“WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO MUCH, ARMIZ!?”

“WHAT ELSE DO YOU EXPECT FROM AFTER KILLING ‘MY’ FAMILY!?”

Losing his composure too, he pushed me away outrageously, hitting me, throwing me to the ground, stiffening me at those words.

His eyes were overflowing with sorrow and he hit me where it hurts the most. Immobilized, a tear simultaneously rolled down our cheeks.

“I never hurt the ones you love, not your mate or children, heck even that deceiving girlfriend of yours Gizelle too… but you fucking did! Heck you even killed Gizelle!” He yelled, collecting shame in my chest that purloined words from my tongue.

With a dried throat, that horrendous moment flashed before my eyes.

Worsening me state as I ended up sobbing, failing to raise myself from the ground.

“All my life, I did everything for us, for your future because you were the little brother I swore to adore and protect,”

He cried a little, holding his sides in frustration before moving back.

“I saved you else our parents were going to kill you for your fucking nature too and how you returned my love, Denzel!?”

His features softened slightly, making a miserably crying face as the tears, the unspoken words he held back so far spilled in the form of tears.

“Killed my family…?!”

Clutching his heart, he sobbed too, punching me as well to find redemption from his own cage that ruined our lives.

“WEREN’T MELISSA MY MATE TOO? WASN’T ALBERT MY SON TOO!? WHY DID YOU KILL THEM!?”

“I…”

I managed to utter weakly between my sobbing, lifting my watery eyes as Armiz also his strength and fell to his knees, crying as well.

“I had no choice, Armiz…” I whispered weakly and exhausted, he sat back, eyes parting from despair.

And it hit me hard- I did that to my own brother.

“Why did you do that, Denzel…?”

“Melissa… she…”

Sniffling, I decided to tell him what I didn’t.

What I swallowed due to ego and never bothered to justify my character and left people to consider me a monster.

Back to the past-

‘After I emerged as the black beast when we formed a pack. As a harbinger of demise… I didn’t care about people, but, your perspective mattered A LOT to me, Armiz,’

People used to tremble at my very existence, they were terrified of me back then, they didn’t come near me either.

I was a beast, I hated it.

Armiz was right, I had natural bloodlust, I was frightened.

But, not for my family.

I adored them, they were my everything. They never saw me from that horrible perspective after all.

I wasn’t a monster to them.

They all loved me, they treasured me so what others say, I never bothered to listen.

“Let’s go, Denzel, we are going to be late for Albert’s birthday!”

My life felt complete. I had my closest friend, Gizelle, with me.

We were about to leave for my nephew’s birthday. He recently turned five and I was exhilarated.

“Yeah, I am finished,”

I breathed out after bringing down another pack on my own. They begged for mercy, they cursed me, I ignored them.

I killed them on Armiz’s orders.

My brother’s orders were absolute. I would never fathom displeasing him, he saved me, he loved me, he made me strong.

“Don’t tell me you will go like this. Take a shower, clean yourself,” She scoffed.

“This is the smell of power,”

I laughed a little, opening my hands proudly earning a scoff from her as I teased her by standing too close to her.

“It’s horrible. Bath and then come to the party,” She hissed.

Closing her nose with her fingers and walking away, waving her hand in the air.

“Obviously,” I rolled my eyes sarcastically as she left.

“Where is Denzel?” Armiz asked at the party, obviously waiting for my entry. I knew he wouldn’t cut the cake without me.

“He must be indulging in blood, Armiz. Let’s cut the cake, it’s getting late,” His mate, Melissa, who apparently didn’t like me, scoffed.

I didn’t like her either but since he adored her, he loved her endlessly, I kept my mouth shut.

“Melissa darling, we can’t. A few minutes won’t hurt.” Armiz smiled sweetly, pinching her cheeks before turning to his son.

“We can have a game of hide and seek until then, right, champ?” He grinned.

“Yes!!”

As they were playing, I decided to appear and Albert bumped into me since it was his turn, earning a laugh from me.

“Well, well, look what a gem you have found,”

“Uncle!” He beamed, hugging me instantly when I arrived- after taking a bath.

“Happy Birthday, King!”

He continued tittering when I picked him up, pinching his cheeks.

“Yay! You are here. Mama said you won’t come,”

“Your mama is jealous of us, leave her. Let’s cut the cake,”

“Ass-”

“Melissa, don’t.”

Armiz had sworn to never let his children experience the toxic environment we did so he pointed his finger at her to not curse.

Unlike me, Armiz was a disciplined Alpha, he had forbidden disrespect in the pack or use of sensitive remarks.

My brother was no doubt the best Alpha, the one who brought our pack to the top.

I merely wished to be anywhere near him.

Thanks to him, I had learned to never use a curse before children, he was strictly against it.

“So, let’s cut the cake,”

“Look what I got you? Same shirts! It says hero, we both will wear it together!” And I got what made him the happiest.

“Awesome, this is so cool!”

I was his favorite and it made me boast in pride.

The best feeling.

Whenever he looked up at me in admiration, it soothed my very soul.

“I know,”

Life was going pretty well for us.

I was blindly devoted to my brother, following his every order until one day everything fell into chaos.
