Chapter # 109
DENZEL’S POV:-
I was determined to make her fall in love with me.
That her heart would be latched to mine once again and hopefully no more obstacles would meddle between us.
My chest was brimming in felicity, with a smile, I was humming to myself delightfully.
But, As I was submerged in the mellow feeling of experiencing falling in love again, a certain twin was awaiting my mate.
“Papa,”
“Hey boys, did you do your homework?” I asked in a cheery tone, they nodded with gloom.
They were becoming anxious, crying for her sometimes too and for them, I knew I must not extend else I would slowly take things.
‘But, she must know she has two children and a fucking mate who needs her presence desperately.’
“What happened?”
“When will mama return? We are missing her,” Anthony whispered, making a crying face.
And I was afraid too about Eliana’s reaction to Matthew's eye. The wound had healed, his vision fortunately returned too.
But, sadly the scar on the side remained.
Their sulky faces dejected me too. Sighing, I held their hands in a firm grip, softening my gaze.
“I am so sorry, boys”
“But, what happened? Why isn’t she here? Where is she? We want to see her,” Matthew asked angrily, not feeling good in her absence which was understandable.
“You can’t… not yet at least, I am so sorry about that, boys,”
“Why?”
Hesitant, I didn’t know how to explain that but I couldn’t twist words as well.
“Mama.. um… let’s say someone has put mama in a spell,”
“What…? Really!?”
Their eyes popped in disbelief with jaws dropped as they couldn’t believe this to be true.
It almost sounded like a fairytale to them.
“Yes and to break it, Papa must make her fall in love with him again.” I nodded.
“Why can’t you just tell her?”
“I can’t. It will hurt her. I have to… you know. Make her love me again,”
“You can do this, Papa, she loves you, she will always be yours. Mama can’t leave us,” Matthew grinned, having faith in me blindly.
“Exactly. So, please, give your papa some time, I promise, Mama will return,” I promised expectantly.
“Where is she?” Anthony asked vaguely.
“She is with… Armiz,”
The second they heard it, their faces surprisingly lit up with glee as all of their worry about her absence vanished.
“Oh, Uncle Armiz,”
“Don’t call him Uncle. Your only uncle is Lucas,” I muttered, bewildering them.
“Why? He is so nice. He gave us chocolates, he helped Matthew too. And plays with us too,” Anthony told me excitedly, his eyes holding no dread for him.
And I couldn’t deny, I expected that from him.
“Play? When?”
“At the park, he meets us sometimes and we play tag, hide and seek and other games.” They both grinned.
“He says he is your brother too! Why didn’t you tell us? Uncle Armiz is so cool!”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever,” Sighing, I waved my hand, not comfortable talking about it.
Them praising him was the least thing I wanted to hear after what happened.
Just because he won’t hurt them, I didn’t want him to cast his shadow on them and… intoxicate them against me.
‘That’s’ what I feared.
What they left to play when I reassured them that it was alright.
Lucas asked, “Shall I stop him next time?”
I sighed, “No, let him. That last thing he would do is- in fact, he won’t, not even as a last option. The hatred is with me after all,”
“Don’t you think you should… apologize or justify what happened… at least,” Lucas asked vaguely but I doubt my ego would let me.
I had taken this ‘very’ personally, deep to my core, to my heart and I won’t explain nor return.
“The day of justifying and mending my heart died, he called me a monster too,” I enunciated angrily.
“Alpha…”
“Leave it. Go back,”
“And you?”
“I am going to see my mate. I want to see if she missed me in that week or not,” I enunciated, waving my hand in the air hoping to lift my mood.
“You disappeared on purpose?”
“Exactly. I tempted her and then left her thinking about me so she would be looking forward to see me again,”
I laughed a little, thrilled to see how it would turn out.
I wanted to witness if she suffered in my absence, if she missed me, if she required my presence as much as I did.
“You look totally prepared,”
“Of course, Lucas,”
“Before, I was in a relationship with Gizelle, I was puerile, I couldn’t do it how I should,” I declared, glancing at him before leaving.
“But now, this is my time to fall in love how I imagined,”
And winked, “Again,”
He laughed too as my soul was compelled to go to her and I found her in the courtyard of the mansion, lost in her thoughts.
Her eyes gracefully lowered, hugging herself as I appeared behind and greeted happily.
“Hey,”
Only to receive a puff, pouting, no reply came from her and that increased my heartbeats. Her slightest gesture of anger was enticing to me.
“Hmm? What’s with that face? Am I missing something?”
Leaning to her ear, I whispered seductively, “Or someone?”
Pausing briefly, she paused and turned to me, hitting my chest, “Damn you, where were you?”
Smirking, I grabbed her wrist and placed it palm over her heart, using all my chances to flirt, to express my feelings.
“Here, right here,”
The blush that rose to her cheek increased my heartbeats, tightening my breaths around my throat as she gradually lifted her eyes.
Meeting my gaze sternly, before asking what must have been bothering her for a while.
“Have we met before?”
“Who cares if we met before or not, now we did. Isn’t that important?” I continued smirking as she grabbed my shirt, becoming hopeless with questioning.
“Answer me, are you the one?”
I merely raised my eyebrows, “What if I am the one you sought?”
Grabbing her wrists, I pulled her body into mine, a smirk growing darker as I leaned down to her ears.
“Or, what if I am your one-sided lover who is taking advantage of your condition?”
She shivered, eyes seeking answers mindlessly, losing her breaths as I decided to push her beyond her limits.
“What if I am acting and I feel nothing at all?”
“Or what if I fell in love from the moment we met, but couldn't greet?”
“Think, Eliana, think, darling,”
To my series of questions, she whispered, resting her weight against my body, our breaths blending together beautifully.
“Don’t… don’t entangle me like this in your talks. I am already disturbed,”
“What if I want to steal you from your lover?”
Brushing my lips against her ears, I suppressed a chuckle and shut her eyes, she broke.
“Stop it, Denzel!”
Her hopelessness became visible, unable to take it anymore so I loosened up and held her arms, pressing her beautiful body against mine.
“The question remains, what do you remember, Eliana? What do you feel?” I growled, losing my breaths and unable to bear it further, she whispered weakly.
“I don’t know,”
“Then close your eyes,”
So I did what I considered right, holding her chin with one hand and her back with her other, I felt her body quivering as I gradually pressed my lips upon hers.
Her breaths hitched in shock which soon soothed when I gradually moved my lips against her, pouring all my feelings into my actions.
The kiss was mystic, almost magical, beautiful.
Although it was brief but passionate, we both pulled away with synced breaths, connected heartbeats and an everlasting moment.
“Did that feel wrong?” I whispered breathlessly.
Drowned in me, she shook her head in denial, “No,”
I caressed her cheek with my knuckles lovingly, a smile widening when she gradually gave into me.
“This?”
“No,”
And to intoxicate her, I yanked her body into mine, “Or this?”
“No, no… no,”
She had her answer.
Laughing a little after indulging in her proximity, I pecked her lips before pulling away from her, leaving her a blushy, delighted mess.
“Then I will kidnap you after midnight from your tower like a prince,”
“Why so late?”
Giggling, I winked playfully along with blowing a kiss at her.
“Our kids are waiting for me at home,”
“I see- Wait- WHAT!?”
She hummed, holding her chin before the realization sank into her core and she ended up screaming.
“SO IT ‘IS’ YOU!”
“They don’t sleep until I put them to bed!”
Laughing with my hand in the air, I walked away, going back home temporarily to return.
To take my beloved home after a painfully long time which had become suffocating for me.
Later, after putting the boys to sleep.
I was chuckling to myself to imagine how they would be content to find their mother home tomorrow.
‘Finally…’
With felicity brimming in my chest, I was mentally prepared to greet ‘my’ Eliana who knew me, whose heart was hundred percent sure it belonged to me.
I firmly believed the curse would have been broken by now and like a hopeless lover, I went to pick my darling.
As I came near the undesirable mansion with haunting memories, I found Armiz there, smoking a cigarette calmly, almost surprised to find me.
“Hey, what brought you here?” He asked nonchalantly, offering me one which I obviously accepted and lit it.
“What else? My mate,”
I shrugged my shoulders, exhaling smoking through the air.
“You came and took her in the evening already,”
I paused, turning to him, blinking a few times.
“I didn’t,”
“She left with you. She never returned, Denzel.”
