Ten

Alex was shocked to see her arguing with the secretary. He glanced coldly at the secretary first, and the secretary shivered when she saw the cold look on Alex's face.

He walked toward Olivia with a smile. "You are here? I have been waiting for you. What are you waiting for here?" He asked as he looked at the secretary.

The secretary was shocked to see the way Alex was talking to her; he even smiled at her. She had never seen him smile like this before, and she felt her heart strike when she saw the smile on his face. He looked so handsome; her gaze was filled with an infatuated gaze, but she immediately snapped out of her fantasy when she saw him looking at her coldly without any hint of warmth. She shivered.

"President, do you know her?" She asked him.

"Your secretary did not allow me in. She said you don't see strangers without an appointment," Olivia said.

The secretary was shocked. She was suddenly feeling so scared. She knew that Olivia was not an ordinary woman with the way the president was treating her, but she did not even know. She has offended a big shot unknowingly. She looked at Alex with pitiful eyes. "I am sorry, president, I did not know that she is related to you; that was why I refused to allow her in, '' She said.

She looked at Olivia. "I am sorry, Miss; I did not really know. I hope you will be magnanimous and let me off this time," She said.

Olivia pursued her lips. She did not say anything after this because she knew that she was assisting Alex, which was why he employed her. So she did not want to look unreasonable. She would look unreasonable if she did not forgive her.

She waved her hands at her. "It is alright; I know it is your job," She said to the secretary.

The secretary immediately smiled when she heard this. "Thank you, Miss; you are so nice and magnanimous," She said.

Alex frowned as he pulled Olivia towards his office. He shut the door.

The secretary frowned. She wondered who that lady was to the president. She has never seen the president with any lady, and she did not hear anything about him having a girlfriend or wife. So she was confused. That was why she wanted to be the first person to get the presidency before any other woman did. She did not expect him to already have a wife. But she consoled herself; it is not like they are married, so she still has her own chance to get the presidency. It does not matter.

Alex led Olivia to the sofa in the office and allowed her to sit down. He poured water into the glass that was already on the table and gave it to her. "What happened outside there with the secretary?" He asked.

He was not foolish and noticed the tension between them. So he wanted to find out whether to let the secretary off or not.

Olivia shook her head. "There is nothing; it is fine," She said with a smile. She did not want to complain and looked like she was nagging too much. He might get irritated if she nagged too much. Besides, it is his work, and she could not stop him from doing it.

"When did she start working here?" She asked him.

"Maybe six months, I cannot remember," Alex said with a shrug.

"What about Assistant Eric? Did he resign or did you fire him?" She asked him curiously because she had not seen him since she left the hospital.

Alex looked at her with a dark look and asked, "Why are you asking about another man in front of me?" He asked.

Olivia chuckled. "Are you jealous?" She asked with a smile.

Alex shook his head stubbornly. "I am not," He said.

Hmph! It serves him right to have so many female workers who fancy him. She thought.

But her heart still softened, and she moved closer to him. She put her hand on his hair, combing it with her hands. "You should not be jealous; there is no man who is as handsome as you are. You should know this, "she said.

Alex smiled; his cheeks looked red. Olivia was shocked to see this. She tried to look more, but his face was back to normal again.

Did she see it wrongly? Alex just blushed, or did she really see it wrongly? She did not expect him to also be able to blush and be embarrassed. She smiled; she was seeing another side of him.

Who says he is very scary and a demon? Such a handsome man. He looked so handsome that he captured every woman's heart wherever he went. She did not understand what was wrong with her taste in the past. She has such a handsome man beside her, but she was actually chasing after Ethan. Ethan is not as handsome as Alex, even comparing their wealth; he was not as rich as Alex either. That was why he was scheming to get Emily's properties.

She was blind in the past and fell for a scumbag. When there is a very handsome man beside her who will do anything she wants for her. She found out later that Emily was actually in love with Alex, but he never had eyes for her and only looked at Olivia. She would instigate Olivia to always meet Ethan, take a picture of them that looked intimate, and send it to Alex behind Olivia's back. She was also the one who asked Olivia to commit suicide; stupidly, she listened to her and committed suicide. Fortunately, Alex came back that day because he forgot a document. He saved her, and that was when he agreed to let her go because he did not want her to die or kill herself. That was when she went back to meet Ethan, and her misery began that day too.

"What are you thinking?" Alex's cold voice asked He looked angry and anxious. He thought she was thinking about Ethan when he saw that she was in a daze.

Olivia snapped out of her daze and looked at him with a smile on her face. "I am just thinking about how blind I was in the past not to love you when you are so handsome and rich." She clicked her tongue.

Alex smiled when he heard this: "Do you finally realize how blind you are?" He asked her.

Olivia nodded. She wanted to say something when her phone suddenly rang.
