I was glad that Ethan got healed and he could walk again. Micheal was really a genius and you wouldn't deny the fact that Micheal saved his life and now his thirst to hunt down a werewolf was doubled and I anticipated the showdown between him and Daniel.

“You have to tread with caution the west side are of many packs, taking over the smallest will leave us with little or no chance at all getting what we want, but attacking the first is the only way we get to make the whole west side ours for the taking”

“You're right, so what do you suggest?”

“I suggest you have them surrounded at first before making any moves” Linda advised.

“That's cowardice” I retorted, knowing that war was supposed to be upfront and not sideways or finding for skinny ways to attack a weak pack.

“It's called strategy” Linda stood firmly on her words.

“Well who's going to protect the land while we're here?” Ethan uttered, knowing that he was going to be on the battlefield, same with everyone, but someone had to stay back with some men to protect the people when they're gone.

“I know who would do that for us,” Talon divulged,

“The third in command. I assigned him after the death of the colonel” at this point I was worried knowing that they were talking about Dan.

Then we heard noises of the soldiers, they were chanting songs.

“A soldier died again in the hands of a fucking werewolf” he growls as he hits the table vigorously. We walked outside together, staring at the soldier wearing Dan's uniform. I got petrified and restless, I was wondering what had happened to Dan that his head wasn't even found by the soldiers. Staring at the waist region, I exhaled deeply as I realized that it wasn't Dan but another soldier.

“Now werewolves come into our territory and kill our men, and we don't do anything about it, this is so stupid, we've let our guard down so bad that we can't even sense a werewolf from a mile away. I know he's not close…" the sudden pause in his words as he touched the dead soldier's heart. He continued,

“The werewolf that did this far off from when we can find him, but this would serve as a lesson, and I'm going to make sure that I count seven werewolf heads and bury it alongside his body, so soldiers pack your bags we will take over the west” Everyone conceded to his words, all clinging their weapons in the air, now I knew why he was the true leader, everyone accepted him for his words and his actions, but basically Talon's own was way different, soldiers would only agree to his words because they're scared of him.

“We leave by nightfall” Talon announced as everyone was happy, I knew some soldiers were happy because they were returning to see their wives and kids they left at home.

Talon retuned to his tent, I was shocked when Marcus and Michael signalled me to walk right into Dan's tent. Is there something that they're not telling me?

“What's wrong, what's with the whispers?” I uttered as I walked into the room wearing a smile on my face.

“Dan left a message for all of us, I think it's best in your interest that you read it to us”

I opened the letter wearing a smile on my face wondering what Dan must have written in this letter.

I read thus,

““When you read this letter you will know that I'm not with you, I've gone back to my people, I think they're in trouble. I would be back, but I need you to do something for me, I'll dig up the body. You'll be the one to find it saying that the body is me, and I was killed by a werewolf. Make it look like I was the one who did it. I require that fool that thinks highly of himself to come to me, and then I would show him why I'm a polymorph. Take care of Elena and make sure nothing happens to her, be careful Maria loves you, Marcus and don't let your guard down. I would be back” I felt impressed at Dan's words, he really had this planned in a way that no one would ever know that he was the one behind it. I guess he didn't know that he aroused Ethan's killer instincts.

"I guess we didn't dig up the body, he just killed another soldier and used the body”Micheal understood perfectly his words. He was smart.

“Well you're right, now everyone knows that he's dead how does he return to the army when everyone knows that he's dead” Micheal was being inquisitive at this point and for a fact, I couldn't deny knowing Dan's next line of action.

“Dan would kill someone and use the uniform, he has done that numerous times. it wouldn't be any different” Marcus chuckles, wearing a smile on his face.

“Yes that's true, now that he's gone we have to tread with caution, I just wish he gets to meet Serena and Maria in time before the virus gets to him” I uttered as I was shocked when Ethan walked into the tent, I knew that he was going to ask about our words. I hoped he didn't hear about Dan.

“Who's Maria?” He inquires as he takes a seat and sits in the middle.

“Oh he was just telling us about is a wife. Maria,” Marcus uttered, staring at Micheal.

“Oh wow that's great, so you have a wife? Wow, and where's she at this time?” I knew he was asking this question because of the journey we're about to embark on.

“Yes I abandoned her in my lands when I was banished, and I guess she must be dead by now”Micheal wanted to end this topic, which was the reason for his words. He didn't want Ethan to go further with his words.

“And what if she's not dead?” Ethan uttered,

“Then I'll ask her for her forgiveness because I know I had hurt her badly…" Micheal responded, Micheal is excellent with his words, I don't think he can get caught because he has answers to all your questions, and you'll have no choice than to believe his words.

“This is unfortunate I must say” Ethan utters as he clicks his fingers,

“Well it's not sad as watching your sister get taken away to be killed by your enemies and all you could do is watch” he continued as Marcus felt the impact of his words

“Oh that's intense”

“Which is why can't I wait to stake my knife through a werewolf's heart and watch him die slowly” Ethan growled as he got up to his feet.

“Your thirst could lead you to danger” Micheal warned Ethan,

“I love getting into danger because it sharpens my mind and gladdens my soul” Ethan utters as we all turned to the owner of this voice.

“And it can also put a bullet through your skull and have your head ripped off your body”
