I was impressed that Elena was right in the middle of where they discussed my death, I wouldn't be the first to say this, but I feel like I'm not supposed to be here. I'm supposed to be back home with my people and making sure they're safe in those mountains.

“It would be nice to go to see my people, and check on James, Serene, and Maria to know if they're all okay”

I wrote a note for Marcus, knowing that if he comes to the tent he would surely see it.

“When you read this letter you will know that I'm not with you, I've gone back to my people, I think they're in trouble. I would be back, but I need you to do something for me, I'll dig up the body, and you'll be the one to find it saying that the body is me, and I was killed by a werewolf. Make it look like I was the one who did it. I require that fool that thinks highly of himself to come to me, and then I would show him why I'm a polymorph. Take care of Elena and make sure nothing happens to her, be careful Maria loves you Marcus and don't let your guard down. I would be back” I stepped out of the camp as a soldier approached me.

“You going out to hunt right”

“Yeah right”

“Let's go together, I want to hunt down a werewolf,”

“After you” I chuckled as he held his gun and walked in front. It was easy for the guards at the gates to allow us to walk through the gates. We got into the forest.

“Where are we going to hide?” He inquired,

“Do you know where werewolves would hide whenever they're in the forest?” I was trying to act dumb as well, knowing that this could turn out to be the sport I was searching for.

“I don't really know”

“Have you ever done this before?” I inquired,

“I've never hunted a werewolf alone before”

“Ok stay put and make sure you shoot when you see a werewolf coming,” I felt like using him as my sport, he wasn't even trained to hold a gun properly, this would be easier than I thought.

“Stay put” I uttered as I walked backwards and dived into the other side where it was hard for him to see me, I wanted to see if he was able to take that shot.

I growled as I shifted into my werewolf form,

“Where are you, soldier? There's a werewolf close by” I stood a few meters away staring into his eyes.

“Oh I'm definitely going to kill you” he stutters as he tried cocking his gun, I rushed him even when I knew he had taken his first shot, I ripped off how head with my claws as I stared at my arm. The bullet bruised my arm.

"Oh fuck” I growled as I shifted back to my human form, remembering that Micheal spoke of a virus that infected Ethan's wounds, I quickly covered my arms with my shirt and ran as fast as I could. I wanted to go beyond the forest before opening my hands. I growled as I shifted into my werewolf form, knowing that the faster I got out of the forest, the slimmer the chances of that virus getting to me.

I was glad when I noticed the morning sun, setting upon the forest, it was a good way to keep the virus mutilated until the heat is over. Not only that, but I was excited when I could hear the voices of people playing and cheering.

James has already built a semi village, I was glad that I had trusted my people in safe hands. He was playing with some children when they all left him to hug me.

“Our Alpha had returned” I felt weak and tired, staring at my right arm I saw the green veins. I knew I was infected by the virus.

“Dan what's going on? What's with the injury on his hands?”

“He has been infected, get the healer” These were the last words I heard as I lost my consciousness and fainted.

I felt very feeble as I opened my eyes slowly, I felt delighted as I stared at James. He was seated by my side. I couldn't hide the smile on my face, staring at James. I really had doubts that he could rule the pack, but he went beyond my doubts, I wish Marcus were here to see this. He would have been shocked to his bone.

“Hey how're you feeling?” He inquired as the healer wore a smile on her face, I was glad that she was able to mix the medicine in the same way Micheal did.

“I'm all good” I affirmed my words with a smile on my face.

“Yeah we got to know about the virus that's why we built the edges, so the pups won't wander off into the forest” he really loved the task I assigned him to do.

“That's good, I'm happy with all that you've done. You did great, and I appreciate you” I uttered as I held his hands tightly and kissed the back of his palm.

“You're my brother remember we have the same minds, don't thank me… Although we got attacked on two occasions, we defeated them anyway but Serena got her leg injured. It's going to take a while before she walks” he divulged, I felt very uneasy at the mention of the words attack. I knew that Ethan or Talon wasn't the one responsible for the attack. Do we have a new enemy?

“Who's responsible for the attack?” I inquired immediately as he hesitated to say the words, wondering what he was trying to hide or was he trying to figure out his words.

“I don't really know whether they were witches or wolves, but they had the strength and the will of werewolves, but they couldn't run as fast as we could, Serena said they were witches,”he divulged,

“Serena's right, they're witches who attacked in the form of a werewolf” I knew we were very close to the Black Forest, his building must have alerted the witches, and they decided to retaliate. I guess they must think that we're about to take over their lands.

“Oh I'm glad they didn't harm us, we're strong enough to defeat them” He uttered,

“Well that's good, we need to brace ourselves and leave this place. We need to get to the mountains before Talon claims the lands of the west”

“What are you saying?”

“Talon and Ethan came up with a plan to take over the whole world of werewolves, and that's their plan to take over the west side.”

“That's where the weakest packs reside”

“Yeah right, when they're done taking over he's coming for our people, but they can't harm us when we're hiding in the mountains. Once we're there, I would return to the army and continue my plan. I would have him penetrated and kill him and the werewolf hunter”

“I wouldn't do that if I were you” James retorted,

“What do you mean?” I was confused by his words.

“Talon's mother is dead” he divulged,

“What connection do I have with her death?”
