Chapter 98

Chapter 98
As I stood before him, the memories of our past flooded my mind, and I felt a wave of pain wash over me. I took a step back, my eyes flashing with anger and hurt. I didn't want the shadow of the man who betrayed our love to fall on me, tainting my already fragile heart. The thought of being near him again made my skin crawl.
He reached out his hand to hold mine, but I swiftly took two steps back, avoiding his touch like it was poison. The memory of his betrayal still lingered, and the thought of his hands on me again made my stomach turn. I couldn't bear the thought of being touched by him, not after what he did.
His eyes scanned my body, from my hair to my legs, and a satisfying smile appeared on his face. His eyes were filled with happiness, as though he was really attracted to me once again. But I knew better. I knew it was all just a facade, a mask to hide his true intentions. I could see the insincerity in his eyes, the way he looked at me with a mixture of lust and possession.
"You...look," he paused, his voice low and husky, and bit his lower lip, with a subtle smile on his face. "You look amazing, Monalisa." His words were like a snake's venom, seeping into my skin and spreading their poison. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he spoke, his voice dripping with false sincerity.
"I know," I replied, my voice cold and detached. "If you don't mind, move out of my way, I need to leave." I tried to brush past him, but he grasped my hand, stopping me from leaving. His grip was firm, and I could feel the warmth of his hand radiating onto mine.
"Hold on," he said, his grip tight. "I want us to talk." I scoffed, trying to pull my hand free. "Talk? Talk about what?" My voice was laced with venom, and I could feel the anger simmering beneath the surface.
"About us," he said, his eyes locked on mine. But I knew it was all just a lie. There was no "us" anymore. Not after what he did. The memories of our past love were nothing but ashes now, burned beyond recognition.
"About us!!" I repeated, my voice rising in anger. I noticed my voice was filled with emotion, and the tone went high. I took a deep breath and exhaled, trying to calm myself down. "Let go of my hand, Mr. Jayden James Bruno," I glared at him, my eyes flashing with anger.
"Just give me minutes, that's all I need from you," he pleaded, his voice softening. But I wasn't having it. I knew what he wanted, and I wasn't going to give it to him.
"I didn't get five seconds from you, so why would I give you five minutes? Let go!" I tried to pull my hand free again, but he held tight. I struggled against his grip, but he wouldn't let go.
"Do not create a scene," he warned, his voice low and menacing. "Do you want it the easy way or the hard way?" I quivered, my eyes locked on his. What did he mean by that? Was he threatening me? I felt a surge of fear mixed with anger, and I didn't know how to react.
"What do you mean by that?" My eyes quivered as I spoke, and I could feel my heart racing in my chest. I was trapped, and I didn't know how to escape.
"Come along!" Jayden dragged me along, his grip on my hand like a vice. I hit his arm, hoping he would let go, but he didn't. I was trapped, and I didn't know how to get free.
As I stumbled along beside him, I felt a sense of desperation wash over me. I didn't know what he wanted, but I knew I had to get away from him. I tried to think of a way to escape, but my mind was a blank. All I could think about was getting away from him, and the memories that lingered.
I looked up at him, my eyes flashing with anger and determination. "Let me go," I said, my voice firm. "I mean it." But he just smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement.
"You're not going anywhere," he said, his voice low and menacing. "Not until we're done." I felt a chill run down my spine as he spoke, and I knew I was in trouble. Big trouble.
Jayden pushed me to a corner, his movements swift and deliberate. He stood before me, towering over me, his presence suffocating. He placed his hands beside me, trapping me between his arms, and I felt a wave of panic wash over me. I squeaked as he did so, my voice barely above a whisper, and shut my eyes, trying to escape the intensity of the moment.
"Let me go!" My voice begged him, laced with desperation and fear. But he didn't budge. Instead, he leaned in closer, his breath hot against my skin.
"No," he said, his voice low and husky. "We have to talk." I felt his words vibrate through my body, making my skin crawl.
"Honestly, you look so amazing," he continued, his voice dripping with sincerity. "You know, when I walked in through that door, your perfect body caught my attention and I couldn't take my eyes off your body. I had this strange feeling that the lady there is actually my Monalisa." His words made my skin crawl, and I felt a surge of anger and disgust.
"I tried to brush off the idea, since you were in New York city," he said, his voice filled with longing. "You disappeared and didn't care to reach out to me. How unfair." His words were like a knife to my heart, twisting and turning, making me feel like I was the one who had done something wrong.
"Unfair!!" I repeated, my voice rising in anger. "Let me go. You disgust me!" I struggled against his grip, trying to break free, but he held tight.
"I do?" he asked, his voice laced with amusement. "Really?" He touched my face, his fingers tracing the contours of my jawline. "Do I?" I felt a shiver run down my spine as he touched me, and I knew I had to get away from him.
"Your touch is disgusting!!!" I said, my voice filled with revulsion. "Feels like tiny ants are crawling on my body. Eww. Let go, or else I'll scream." But he just smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement.
"I apologize," he said, his voice dripping with insincerity. "But I really want to have a word with you..." I knew I had to think fast, or else I would be trapped. That's when I saw Donald, my savior. I called out to him, my voice filled with desperation.
"Donald!" I shouted, my voice echoing through the room. Donald turned and noticed Jayden blocking some lady. His eyes narrowed, and he strode towards us, his movements swift and deliberate.
"Monalisa?" he asked, his voice filled with concern. Jayden tried touching my face again, but Donald grasped his hand, his grip firm.
"Who the fuck!! Let go!!" Jayden barked at Donald, his voice rising in anger. But Donald didn't back down. Instead, he glared at Jayden, his eyes flashing with anger.
"No you let her go, you bastard!!" Donald growled, his voice low and menacing. Jayden's eyes widened in surprise, but he didn't let go. Instead, he tried to shake off Donald's grip.
"Let go of me!" Jayden shouted, his voice filled with rage. But Donald held tight, his grip like a vice.
"I won't let you hurt her again," Donald said, his voice firm. "You're not going to touch her again." I felt a surge of gratitude towards Donald, and I knew I was safe. For now.
