Chapter 44 Chapter 45

Chapter 44 Chapter 45
"You can all stay here for the time being" Chris said quietly from the doorway as he watched the others stare around in amusement at the wooden house.

"I'm going to sleep for days" Mica announced as she rushed to
a room after dropping her bag on the floor.

"Right behind you" Oliver muttered
tiredly as he followed after her.

Jeremy stood at the window that overlooked the little town's field as he watched people slowly begin to come out to go about a routine they have probably began following as a society.

He watched as two alphas, one female and a male start by loosing up
before a full training commenced. Shortly after, others joined training individually or in pairs.

"They're so young" Jeremy said seeing how young the werewolves training are.

"Their existence is still under threat, and they don't want to go down without a fight" Chris said from behind
him, earning a bombastic side eyes from Drey.

"But they don't stand a chance with
this little population of theirs." Drey said

"There are a few heavenly soldiers here, and Locsin, you have no idea what those few are capable of doing" Chris answered calmly. "Plus they're not alone anymore."

Drey sighed as he looked down at Jaden who was awake and staring around in confusion, then he smiled at him and his eyes went up to Jeremy who
was still by the window. There was no way he'd let anyone harm these two.

Jeremy watched as a man comes out with a child in hand while about ten more followed him like chicks. From his scent that man was an omega, moving around freely.

"This place..." he whispered. "It's real." Jeremy breathed, feeling a kind of
relief he had never felt in his life for a long time. He took sharp intakes of air
until he began crying.

Both Drey and Chris reached for him from both side, but on sensing his mate, Jeremy turned towards him just in time to be pulled in for a hug where he buried his face in Drey's neck.

"I feel so happy" he whispered just as laughter and happy chatter could be heard from outside. Drey closed his eyes, pulling the other tighter.

Jeremy had spent many years burdened by his condition that even without his memories he felt the relief of finally being in a place where he would be accepted.

"Shh it's okay Jeremy, I've got you" Drey said softly as he pats his back to comfort him. Chris watched all these in silence from the doorway, his
eyes lingering particularly on Jeremy. It took a few  minutes before the omega
calmed down and decided to go get freshened up and get something for his child and himself to eat, leaving the two alpha in silence.

"So what now? What do we do?" Drey asked, making Chris look over at him with hooded eyes as he let out a
cloud of smoke from his mouth.

"We join those already campaigning for their freedom to live" he answered and Drey nodded.

"Why haven't you joined them? I bet with you, a major hunter predator speaking up for them might just
have the world powers giving it a thought."

Chris let out an amused chuckle at that.

"You are so naive Drey it's almost cute."

Drey grits his teeth at that, feeling insulted.

"If I joined the campaign earlier, the world government will see me as its new threat and start monitoring my every movement eventually fishing out this place and killing everyone without retariation as these wolves are still young, recovering from trauma and inexperienced. Plus the government wield weapons that can take out
those divine alpha soldiers like they did years ago."

"But you're joining now because...?"

"There are two mature divine alphas who pack enough punch to bring
down one fourth of the world power and they can help train the younger ones too. There's you, Oliver, and others who wish to be anonymous for now. Plus our underground escape route is complete now."

Drey is speechless. Chris has thought out everything like a true alpha who's intentional about protecting his mate and giving them everything the world has to offer, including security.

"That's reassuring" he said simply.

"I wouldn't bring my Jeremy here if it wasn't." Chris said with a sigh making Drey frown.

"He's not yours Chris, stop trying
to get me to kill you"

"Whatever, as if you can" Chris said as he pushed himself up and pressed the butt of the cigar off in a tray. "Want to see the soldiers in training?"

Before Drey could even answer, Mica rushed out excitedly.

"Yes please, I'd like to see them." With that the three exited the house to the fields while Oliver stayed behind to be with Jeremy who was already getting chummy with another male omega.

He was all smiles and coy as he talked to the male that seemed older. And for the first time in a long time, Oliver saw a glimpse of the Jeremy he knew before he presented. He joined them together and had a heartfelt breakfast while basking in the euphoria of his friend's happy energy.

The field outside was full of teenagers training and sparing with determined efforts while the little ones sat around watching in awe.

Mica let out an amused gasp as she
saw them, they had barely presented, yet here they were trying to protect the
little they grew up to see. Most of the soldiers were true alphas and betas,
there were also a small number of omegas, male and female, and then the divine alphas that were easy to spot because of the aura they exude and then the main teacher herself who had a bigger build than Mica but also a divine soldier.

"I thought you said there were two mature divine alphas?" Drey questioned Chris who nodded his head back at the female alpha and Drey followed his gesture to see that Mica had shaking hands with the alpha herself. "You meant Mica?"

"Of course, she's a divine alpha after all." Drey answered in a duh' tone

Drey watched as the alpha dismissed the trainees to stand aside while Mica and herself make to  battle stances and in the blink of an eye, they were fighting on a supernatural level; The ground was breaking and every tree that met a missed punch or kick went crashing down.

In the end Mica laid defeated on the ground but still had a satisfied smile on her face, this was the first time her wolf had ever gone all out like it should be.

"That was wild" her opponent said as she reached out a hand to her to help her up, sounding equally satisfied to have met her match. "I'm Caroline, teacher and captain of these little pipsqueaks."

"My name is Mica, may I join your pipsqueak army maam?."

Chris sighed as he walked around them, a stunned Drey following after, that was the first time he'd ever seen a fight that awesome and now he understood why the world was scared osf them

They got to another field where the young wolves were practicing how to shoot weapons, now the omegas were more in this category.

Everyone was willing to lay down their lives for a chance to live freely.

Chris the younger alpha to the underground escape route and showed him everything.

"Everything looks well sought out" Drey remarked, impressed despite himself, making Chris nod. "In three days
there would be a public talk about the Rendro Pack and I tend to take part along side those in support of their freedom." He swallowed. "But if things don't go as planned, then it's up to us to make a decision to fight back or run, all
depending on how many hearts we manage to move, the less packs that want to take us down, the more our chances of fighting back but if it's against the whole world, then it's best we run because we won't stand a chance."

Drey nodded in agreement. It was a plausible idea, and for the first time since this ordeal concerning Chris abducting Jeremy started, he actually felt deep respect for him. When they went back up and were passing through the field of the gun shooters,
their eyes caught sight of the familiar figure of Jeremy holding a gun as Oliver adjusts his pose. Their eyes comically widened as they rushed towards him but they hadn't even reached him when he pulled the first trigger.

Excited about it hitting bullseyes, Jeremy turned to high five Oliver only to see those two alphas glaring at him.

"What?" he asked.

"That should be my line Jeremy. What the heck do you think you're
doing?" Drey asked

"Training like these other young omegas" he replied flatly. "I too will
fight if need be to protect this freedom I feel." With that he walks away to
refill his gun and Drey turned to glare at Oliver.

"Don't look at me, I tried to stop him."

Chris chuckled at that as he looked at the omega, filling his gun like an expert.

"He's stubborn that way" he said with fond eyes and Drey remembered why he hated him in the first place.
