Chapter 69 Leaving
As she started entering the huge building of Tiger Estate Corporation, employees nicely greets her with good mornings whenever she was being recognized as their big boss's wife. Some employees couldn't help to give her a warm smile and give her compliments when they notice her now obvious tummy. She was wearing a baby pink floral maternity dress that emphasize her now five months baby bump and ss a response, she greeted them back wearing her genuine smile.
Now she knew what's the pressure of being Mrs. Thyago Williams- the CEO and owner of the biggest Real Estate Company in the country. Having the good mood still having the plan in mind, she pressed the top floor button on the elevator where Thyago's office was located. Although she knew Thyago has a private elevator, she chose to use the employee's elevator since this is a surprise visit. When she finally reached the desired destination, an excited smile drew her lips when she saw Andrea- Thyago's personal secretary who is now busying herself encoding on the computer.
"Hi, Andrea! Is your boss inside?" She stated enthusiastically.
To her curiosity, Andrea's eyes suddenly grew wider as if she had seen a ghost in her presence. With that, her forehead automatically knotted with Andrea's sudden reaction as if she got scared or somewhat nervous.
"M-Mrs. Williams!" The secretary looked shocked and alarmed as she noticed she gave side glances to the closed-door beside her working table.
"Is Thyago inside?" She asked repeating her question.
"M-Mrs. W-Williams, Mr. Williams is..... " The secretary was stuttering and sweating in the forehead while she can't even say what his boss doing. The Secretary's action made her alarmed and turned suspicious as her eyes flew on the closed-door office of her husband.
She decided to walk forward and come closer to the closed door but to her surprise, Andrea immediately stand up and hesitantly about to block her way. With that, her suspicions grew stronger. There was something inside that room that Andrea was afraid she might see, that's what her instincts telling her. Without hesitations, she immediately walk towards the office door and opened it. When her eyes roam inside, she never expected what she was about to see as a huge shock engulfed her.
Thyago sitting on his chair while Elena was on top of him with legs wrapped around her husband. They were kissing torridly and heaven knows how her world slowly shattered into pieces when she saw that scene.
This is not happening!
Oh God, please no! This can't be!!!
She was shaken and felt her body tremble while tears are now attempting to fall through her cheeks. Her body slowly gets numb as different dark emotions start to creep her chest. She didn't even notice the bag she was clutching fell from her grasp and that created a sound enough to catch the attention of the two from what they're doing.
"B-Bea?"
Terrified, Thyago immediately pushed Elena and quickly stand up from her seat while the latter hastily fixed her crumpled skirt and fix herself. Still trembling, she tried shaking her head hoping her mind is only playing a trick on her and this was just only a dream. Her knees wobbled as she felt them weaken which made her go off balance so her hands search for something she can hold on to. But it was real indeed, she saw them kissing and that's the bitter fact she was denying to accept.
"B-Baby, I-its not what you think..." Thyago agitatedly came closer to her trying to reach her but she stepped backward.
"No! Don't touch me..." She uttered shaking her head as she felt having a hard time to breath.
Beyond all the pain and bitter emotions that crept through her, it was a surprise she still found her voice to speak. It was a surprise she can still manage to stand beyond her wobbled knees and blurry sight because of the tears that's threatening to fall on her cheeks any moment from now.
"Now I know why you keep siding her over me..." Tears are now streaming fast through her face.
"It's not what you think. I-I didn't know she's here and how the hell she was the one I was kissing b-but--- Oh shit! Please listen, baby... I got dizzy and I fell asleep." Thyago alarmingly explained in a pleading way.
He came closer again and when he caught her, he immediately embraced her right away but she gathered all her wits and tried her best to push him hard until he lets her go.
"You think I will believe your lies now?" She replied accusingly then bitterly faced Elena with a look of loath and defeat.
"Congratulations, you finally win in breaking our marriage apart..." She then walked away after saying that heartbreaking words as tears finally falls down her face. With that, Thyago immediately run after her and blocked her way.
"W-What d-do you mean?.." Thyago restlessly asked. Nervous and sudden fear painted his face.
He tried to block her way but she pushed him away and walked past him letting him know how angry she was. She still heard the voice of Thyago calling her but she ignore him wanting to get away from him and out of the building. There are some employees she met along the way giving her curious and worried look but she ignores them. Yes, she may look devastated but she couldn't care less how she look at the moment. She just wanted to cry and let the pain inside her subside. To shed off the painful emotions brought by Thyago and leave the damn place without even caring how pathetic and pitiful she may look like.
As soon as she reached the parking lot, she quickly went through her car and drive away having the decision borne in mind. Her heart was deeply wallowing in pain. She couldn't believe that she was right all along that this marriage is a complete mistake. She shouldn't let her heart fall harder to the point of loving Thyago so much. Now she was broken and shattered into pieces. Guess what, she got lost again, she was giving up now. This decision might be hard for her. As much as she don't wanna do this, she knew she have to. Elena wins just like she always does.
I can't believe this happened to me again. I thought I've been brave and stronger through the years, why did I end up being miserable again just like before? What did I do to deserve all of these?
The bitter part is the memories from the past suddenly come back all over again just like a flashback. How Thyago was crazily in love with Elena, the disdainful looks and condemning stares of those bullies, and the excruciating pain towards Thyago's avoidance and rejection. The sadness and anguish are all coming back in her memories. The way Thyago turned his back on her and how he hurt her with his hurtful words. Those hard and painful times are all coming back like a replay. Unfortunately, it feels like she was in the same situation again but with a twisted and different version because this was more painful and vicious.
Oh God, what did I do to deserve this...
She found herself pulling over the car as she cry and desperately stoop her head in the steering wheel. Then just all of a sudden in between her painful weeps and pity of herself, her eyes went to her tummy. She cried even more when she thought of the baby in her womb. Her baby, the best thing that happened in her life.
No! You were never a mistake to me. You will be the best thing I will ever have. You are at least the best gift that your father gave me. We will get over this baby...
Mommy will be strong for us. I will protect you from the pain and harm the world might give you. I promise you that...
At the mansion:
She heaved a long and painful sigh when she thought everything was ready and settled. Her eyes were now dried from tears when she faced the mirror. She smiled dryly looking at her reflection. Who is she fooling? Her eyes might be dried from tears but she knew her heart still bleeding, her heart still wallowing in excruciating pain.
This time, no more tears, no more showing weaknesses. She will do this, she had promised herself to. For her baby's sake, for the reason why she wanted to be strong and remain sane. For this child's sake, she will fight and will get through this. So when she heard the door creaked open and Thyago came in just like what she expected, she prepared herself for the decision she finally made.
She noticed him his eyes directed to her baggage on the floor. Strange but is it fear and pain she saw in Thyago's face? When he looked at her, his eyes were pleading with that same fear she viewed in his blue orbs earlier.
Hold on baby, we have to be strong. I'm sorry but Mommy really has to do this...
"Y-You're leaving?" Fear and sorrow were obvious in his voice.
"P-Please baby, l-let's talk about this. That thing you saw in the office was not what you think it is." The way he stuttered and how his voice broke, he seemed anxious and scared.
He looked very desperate. Heaven knows how she felt that pang of pain by seeing him like this. Funny because she still manages to care for his feelings even with her situation. But she knows what she saw, she'll make a fool out of herself if she chose to believe him. She loves him, yes, but this time she made up her decision, and it's final.
"Please, let's end this marriage Thyago..." She saw him completely got stunned. His face suddenly looked defeated, broken to be exact.
God knows how she wanted to take back her words but she knew she can't. She had been hurt enough, and she can no longer take being with him anymore. She has to end this over. For her sake and her child's sake...
