Chapter 38 Kidnap
The wedding was wonderful and successfully held amazingly. It was actually a church wedding and the whole place was well decorated and designed fantastically.
Seeing her best friend getting married, she couldn't help to smile happily. She was glad she finally found the person who will love and will take care of her for all eternity.
Hannah looks so stunning in her wedding gown, she can clearly view the happiness and contentment in her face. It was kinda touching when the couple cried and turned emotional while delivering each other vows and words of love. They really love each other and it was so amazing to witness a romantic wedding like this one. The ceremony and the procession went well. It ended when the priest finally blest their matrimony and announced the couple are now husband and wife. The newly Weds then finally sealed the ceremony with a passionate kiss leaving the audience in awe.
The venue was held in the hotel owned by the groom's family and it was exclusively available and saved only for the guests of the party on that night. Everyone seems in a party mood. Rose and tulips of different arrangement designs were scattered all over the place while romantic music was being played. Wines and different expensive beverages are being served. The humongous cake designed by a well-known wedding cake designer with the newly wedded couple beside was the center of attraction. The wedding was perfect and amazing, she was glad she was part of the preparation for this wonderful and memorable event of her best friend's life. It's no doubt Hannah finally found happiness with David. Who would have thought her exquisite and elusive friend will marry first before her? She was happy that she ends up with David because of all the boyfriends her friend had, he was the one she liked the most. Now she was rest assured that he will love and will take good care of Hannah because she had seen how he became patient and tolerant to her friend. He accepts and loves her for who she was and she knew Hannah do the same. They were indeed a perfect match. And knowing they were expecting a baby soon, she was so happy for the both of them.
Sitting on the corner of the bar counter contently watching some couples dancing at the dance floor while sipping a glass of wine, she couldn't help to smile when she saw an old couple dancing with the romantic music that is being played by the DJ. It's so nice and odd to see an old couple still being sweet to each other nowadays. They say through the test of time sparks and passion will vanish and companionship and friendship are one will only last as the years go by but it's really amazing to see couples who can still manage to keep sparks and passion through the test of time, especially after witnessing a romantic wedding ceremony. Being a hopeless romantic, she just couldn't help to dream of such a love that will never last even through the test of time.
She was in that state when her attention got caught by someone who cleared his throat. Her eyes automatically drew on the familiar built of a man who was now sitting next to her at the bar counter. As always, he looked so dashing and regal in his tuxedo. He had these striking and intimidating features as always. With his rugged jaw and powerful aura that radiated his strong personality, she felt the familiar bewilderment and tugged off her heart whenever he sees him. His eyes were fixed on her as his face was serious and void with emotions.
"If I was your boyfriend, I won't let you go alone to a party like this without me accompanying you." He said in a cool tone that she find irritating.
Undauntedly meeting his eyes, she then glared at him as she felt her blood suddenly boiled in irritation when she heard him talked about the absence of her boyfriend. Matt has been very vocal about his dislikes on Hannah so she never convinced him to come and accompany her on this occasion. He said he was very busy with his job and couldn't find time for it. She sensed he was just making excuses to not come on the occasion so she never convinced him more. She just doesn't know why Matt doesn't like her best friend when Hannah seems nice to him. In fact, Hannah was very vocal that she liked Matt for her.
"Will you leave me alone, Thyago. Can't you just stop pestering me just for once?" She stated in an irritating tone.
Why did she think she would have a peaceful night and expected he won't pester her tonight? This man had become a constant headache and the greatest nuisance of her life.
"Where is your boyfriend? He should be guarding you, you know. A beautiful lady like you shouldn't be left alone in a gathering like these..."
"Matt is very busy and why do you care, anyway?" She snapped irritatingly.
"You know I care too much for you more than anyone else, Bea. But it's a good thing he was not here. We can have plenty of time..."
"Please, leave me alone Thyago. Find someone else to pester!"
"Won't you mind dancing with me just for a moment?" He then asked seriously.
Actually, he doesn't seem asking for permission because his tone was more of a statement than a question. This man is full of himself. What made him think she will dance with him?
"I'm afraid I can't. I was about to leave, actually." She replied in a rigid tone then immediately stands up in her seat and was about to go but as expected, he suddenly blocked her way.
"Get off my way, Thyago. I'm tired and I wanna go home now." She replied disgustedly.
"You're so harsh, Bea? A dance with you is all I'm asking." He said it in a painful and emotional tone.
"Get off my way! Thyago you're starting to piss me off!"
She saw the pain that cross his eyes as he glared at her. She doesn't wanna be harsh but he left her with no choice. If being mean will make him leave her alone and stop bugging her then she will do it.
She walked past him then walked towards the newly wedded couple to talk to them and bade goodbye because she can't stand the company of Thyago. He won't stop pestering her until he gets what he wanted so she better leave. She was also unsure of herself because deep inside her, she knew she was getting affected because he was creating some havoc in her system. She decided to tell Hannah that she needed to go home.
"Are you sure? I have reserved your suite in the hotel and you'll going to like it." Hannah states trying to convince her to stay longer.
"I'm sorry I really have to go. I have work tomorrow and I can't afford to be late. I have early meetings and important things I need to attend to." She said making alibis.
"Can you drive home? It's late already. I can ask one of our drivers to drive you home." Hannah insisted.
"No worries, I can still manage to drive." She replied.
Hannah still insisted she stay a little longer but she declined. She would rather go home so she can rest completely. Hannah then gladly thanked her for the efforts she'd made for the wedding. They embraced each other so tight before she decided to go and leave the venue. She can't stand the presence of Thyago because she knew he will not stop pestering her if she decided to stay longer. She would rather leave than argue with him. The party was about to end anyway for some guests are leaving too.
At the parking lot, she got stunned and automatically stopped right through her track when she saw Thyago leaning comfortably on her car door. The brute was obviously waiting for her so her irritation started to arise again.
Why he's so compulsive to even follow her in the parking lot? Well, why did she even think she can run and avoid him easily tonight? She just wanna go home peacefully. Oh damn, she can't handle him anymore!
"What do you think you are doing?" She confronted annoyingly.
"What made you think you can leave so fast, Bea? Why do you leave urgently every time you see me? Are you that scared to betray by your own feelings that's why you keep running away from me?" He said wickedly.
"How many times do I have to tell you I feel nothing about you, Thyago. The kiss we had at the reunion party was nothing to me! I have a boyfriend and I love him!" There's a tinge of anger and bitterness flared in his eyes but she took that for granted believing she was only imagining things.
"Liar! Makes me wonder why your body states the opposite every time I kiss you!" He retorted mockingly.
He was blocking her car door to stop her from hopping in the car. His face is flushed and looked rabid which might be the effect of alcohol. Is he drunk?
"Think whatever you think. I don't have to explain to you. Just get off my way, please." She said coldly.
She saw his face turned dark and dangerous and that scared the shit of her. Pain, anger, and confusion suddenly reflected his eyes as if he was in deep thoughts.
"Dammit, Thyago! Why can't you just get off my way and let me leave!" She shouted annoyingly starting to lose out patience.
"I don't wanna do this but you left me with no choice, Bea." He stated dangerously while staring blankly at her.
His face was void with emotions but she could feel he was furious. Giving him a questioning look what is he talking about. She couldn't help to steps backward when he perilously steps forward and reached for her.
"Forgive me but I have to do this... " He uttered dangerously. Her eyes suddenly widen in surprise because the next thing he did is drastically grabbed and carried her forcefully like a sack of rice on his shoulder.
"What the fuck are you doing, Thyago! Put me down!" She furiously shouted in his face trying to wriggle free. She tried hitting his back so he would let her go but he was so strong it doesn't affect him at all.
He walks fast towards his car and opened the car door. Although being nervous and shocked by Thyago's sudden action, she still fights him trying to let go of his hold but he was so strong so she ends up being pushed on his car. She then saw him pulled out something from his car's drawer and notice it was a white handkerchief. Feeling alarmed and nervous, she tried to push him and turn her face aside but he was prompt so he immediately covered her face with that hanky until she was forced to sniff the chemicals contained by that cloth. The next thing she knew, she felt her eyes turned heavy as her eyelids started to shut uncontrollably until darkness slowly engulfs her.
