Deanna smirked and said, "Actually, this medicinal cuisine is quite good, but I think there might be an even better prescription."
At her words, Old Hughes became interested and asked eagerly, "Is that so, Anna? Show me."
Then, Deanna picked up a pen and swiftly wrote down a prescription. Old Hughes took it, his eyes shining with admiration as he praised repeatedly, "Anna, you're truly remarkable!"
"Wonderful, wonderful."
He wondered why he hadn't thought of these combinations of herbs before.
Watching Old Hughes's amazed expression, Deanna couldn't help but find it amusing.
She shook her head and said, "Actually, it's not as mysterious as you think, Old Hughes. These two prescriptions just have different effects. Yours is an ancient prescription and is no worse than mine."
Old Hughes sighed and disagreed, "No, no, no, treating the ailment with the right medicine, yours is better, Anna!"
He took the prescription and immediately handed it to Ava to go and fetch the herbs.
As she was about to leave, he added, "Ava, whatever herbs Anna needs, just get them for her. The herbs for Anna today are all free!"
Deanna stood beside, feeling puzzled.
She quickly refused, "Old Hughes, I can't accept this."
How could she accept things for free when she was in business? It wouldn't be right.
Although those herbs weren't exactly rare, they were still valuable. If she took them for free, Deanna would feel absolutely guilty.
However, Old Hughes didn't think so.
He smiled and said, "Anna, you've helped me so much, there's nothing wrong with this. It's only right!"
Deanna still felt uneasy, but no matter what she said, Old Hughes was determined.
In the end, Deanna compromised.
"Well, Old Hughes, just give me a discount then, as a token of thanks for helping you. If you let me have them for free, I won't come here again in the future!"
With that said, Old Hughes could only nod.
After thinking for a while, he agreed, "Alright, I'll give you a 70% discount. Now, Anna, you can't refuse, right?"
Deanna chuckled lightly and readily agreed, "Alright."
"Oh, by the way, Anna, I've recently opened a new restaurant. Take this VIP card and go taste the food sometime."
With Old Hughes's enthusiastic look, Deanna couldn't refuse him.
She nodded, "Okay, I'll definitely go try it when I have the chance."
Just as she finished speaking, unexpectedly, Old Hughes interrupted, "As the saying goes, don't wait for the right day, just do it. I think today's lunchtime is perfect."
"Great, take this opportunity to help me understand these prescriptions, okay?"
With Old Hughes's eager expression, he didn't give Deanna any time to think.
She smiled knowingly; inviting her for lunch was just a pretext, understanding the prescriptions was the real deal!
But, since she didn't have anything else to do, it wouldn't hurt to tidy up that book.
Deanna readily agreed, and Old Hughes was delighted.
At noon, Old Hughes brought Deanna directly to Cloud Pavilion.
As they walked to the entrance, they could feel antique decorations giving it an elegant and tranquil feel.
Although it was a restaurant, the space inside was quite large!
Not to mention the layout of the restaurant, each position in the hall was separated by screens, and there were even exclusive private rooms upstairs.
Deanna followed Old Hughes, constantly scanning the dining environment and patrons inside.
She couldn't help but sigh; the people dining here were indeed varied, but it wasn't hard to tell that they were all well-off individuals.
"Anna, come over here."
Old Hughes's voice came, interrupting Deanna's thoughts.
Deanna lightly agreed and quickly caught up.
The two arrived at a private room, and as they pushed open the door, they saw that someone was already seated inside.
Looking closely, who else could it be but Lance?
Deanna couldn't help but feel puzzled and asked subconsciously, "Mr. Mercer, why are you here too?"
Originally, she thought it would just be her and Old Hughes dining together, but unexpectedly, Lance was here too.
Compared to Deanna's surprise, Lance seemed much calmer.
He casually replied, "I often dine here, I'm a regular."
A regular... coming here often for meals didn't necessarily mean he had to share a private room with them.
Just as Deanna was about to speak, Old Hughes broke their conversation.
"Anna, I didn't want you to be bored accompanying me alone. I thought since you know this kid, I'd bring him along."
Old Hughes smiled teasingly, his face full of jokes.
At his words, Deanna didn't say anything more.
She nodded and found a nearby seat to sit down.
Old Hughes handed her the menu directly, saying, "Anna, see if there's anything you'd like to eat, feel free to order."
Deanna nodded, and as she opened the first page of the menu, she was shocked.
This wasn't a menu at all; it was clearly a medicinal cuisine list!
Almost every dish listed was medicinal, some even containing herbs.
Deanna couldn't help but ask, "Is this a medicinal restaurant?"
Old Hughes replied, "Yes, nowadays people pay attention to health."
