Looking at the collapsed door, the mysterious figure on the left spoke disapprovingly.
"You went through all this trouble just to hypnotize Deanna. Isn't it too complicated? If you ask me, we had a perfect opportunity to take Deanna and force her to hand over the information."
"Do you think I haven't considered that? But if we did that, none of us would have peace tonight. Look at this, I just received this message."
The mysterious figure on the right finished speaking and tossed his phone over.
The mysterious figure on the left instinctively caught the phone and checked it.
The message on the phone read: Lance is Eula's mysterious partner.
"No wonder you changed your mind. This Lance is really something."
The mysterious figure on the left sighed and handed the phone back.
Lance knew nothing of this.
He returned to the banquet hall with Deanna in his arms, immediately drawing a lot of attention.
Some people noticed something was wrong with Deanna and showed expressions of surprise and suspicion.
At this moment, Eula walked over with a concerned look. "Lance, what happened to Miss Jones?"
"I'm not sure. She suddenly fainted. I need to go to the hospital."
Lance didn't tell the truth and was about to leave with Deanna in his arms.
Seeing this, Eula quickly followed. "The hospital is too far from here. Why not go to my place? It's less than a ten-minute drive, and you know I have a top international medical team at home."
Hearing this, Lance hesitated for a moment but then agreed.
Although he didn't know what had happened to Deanna after she entered the room, he was sure someone wanted to harm her.
If they went to the hospital, it would be crowded and chaotic, not as safe as Eula's home.
Thus, Eula quickly led Lance out of the castle.
Once in the car, Lance looked at the unconscious Deanna in his arms and sent a message to Xavier on his phone: "Find out who booked the rooms on the top floor of the castle today."
Xavier received the message and, though puzzled, set off to investigate.
As Lance, Eula, and Deanna left, the banquet was abuzz with speculation.
Emily also seemed preoccupied.
She hadn't expected Lance to rescue Deanna so quickly.
At the same time, she was intensely curious about what had happened to Deanna.
She wanted to know what the mysterious person had done to her.
So engrossed was she in her thoughts that she didn't respond even when Raphael called her twice.
Raphael had no choice but to apologize to the couple in front of him. "I'm sorry, my wife seems a bit tipsy. I'll take her to rest for a while and come back later."
"No problem, go take care of your wife," the couple said kindly, nodding at Raphael.
Raphael nodded and, suppressing his anger, led Emily away.
It was only then that Emily snapped out of her thoughts and noticed Raphael's displeased expression.
Feeling guilty, she asked, "Raphael, what's wrong?"
"How dare you ask what's wrong? What were you doing just now? Daydreaming?"
Raphael stopped walking and scolded Emily angrily.
After speaking, he glanced around nervously. Seeing that they were at the edge of the banquet hall with no one around, he relaxed a bit.
Emily realized why Raphael was angry and was about to breathe a sigh of relief and come up with an excuse when she noticed Raphael staring at her intently.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"I want to know if Deanna's incident has anything to do with you."
Raphael questioned her seriously.
He had been busy networking earlier and hadn't paid much attention to Deanna's incident or suspected Emily because she had been by his side the whole time.
But Emily's strange behavior made him reconsider.
Emily hadn't expected Raphael to guess the truth so quickly and became nervous.
Without thinking, she shook her head in denial. "What are you talking about? I've been with you all along. How could I have had time to trouble Deanna?"
Her anxious denial only made her seem more suspicious.
Raphael remembered previous incidents and trusted her words even less.
He looked at Emily mockingly and sneered. "Do you think I'm an idiot with no intelligence?"
"What idiot? I never called you that!"
Emily feigned ignorance, feeling extremely guilty inside.
Raphael said nothing, staring at her deeply. He had already made up his mind.
