Deanna sighed at the words.
She asked, "Principal, can you really guarantee that my child won't encounter any campus violence when they go to school? They already have a shadow over going to school and fear encountering such incidents."
On the other end, the principal's tone was serious as he assured her, "No, absolutely not! We have expelled the troublemaking students, and I've also had a meeting with all the teachers to address disciplinary issues. You and your child can rest assured!"
His words were convincing, and seeing his good attitude, Deanna felt it was inappropriate to blame him further.
"Alright, but my child has been traumatized mentally, and my son is also injured. They may need a few days before they can go to school."
The principal was understanding and smiled gently, saying, "It's okay, come whenever you're ready. I'll inform the teachers."
Deanna politely smiled, "Okay, thank you."
Hanging up the phone, she didn't expect the principal to be so understanding. It was beyond her expectations.
After some thought, she walked back into Gregory and Chloe's room.
Gregory sat on the bed, looking gloomy.
Chloe lay down, covering her head with a blanket, only showing her worried eyes.
Deanna pursed her lips and said to them, "Gregory, Chloe, the principal just called me."
Gregory remained silent, while Chloe pouted and asked, "Mommy, did the principal uncle say we can go to school?"
Deanna answered truthfully, "He said if you don't want to go, you can rest at home for a few days. You can go back whenever you want."
Chloe lowered her head, her voice muffled, "Principal uncle seems nice."
Deanna felt helpless, looking at the silent Gregory, and comforted, "The principal has gathered all the teachers for a meeting, so such incidents won't happen again. And Harlan has been expelled. Gregory, don't be sad anymore."
Upon hearing that Harlan had been expelled, Gregory lifted his head in surprise.
"Really? We won't be bullied anymore?"
His eyes brightened.
Deanna nodded gently, "No, you won't."
After a pause, she continued, "So, Mommy hopes you two will get better soon and still go to school."
Chloe didn't say anything, turned her head away, showing some resistance.
But Gregory relaxed and obediently said, "Okay mommy, I'll be good from now on and won't cause you trouble anymore."
Seeing him like this, Chloe also softly said, "Okay."
The two children were sensible, making Deanna feel heartbroken. She kissed each of them affectionately and said softly, "Mommy doesn't blame you. I know you're the most sensible. Rest at home these days, and you can go back to class next week."
Gregory and Chloe nodded in agreement.
In the afternoon, Deanna went to the herbal garden to pick some herbs, brought them home, and laid them out on the balcony to dry.
After dinner, she took the herbs and went to Lance's house to deliver them.
She held the medicine in her left hand and held Chloe's hand in her right.
The little girl insisted on coming along, so she agreed.
Arriving at Lance's house, Chloe saw such a luxurious villa for the first time, her eyes lit up as she looked around, exclaiming, "Uncle Lance's house is so big and beautiful!"
Her voice was soft and cute.
Deanna gently tapped her cheek with her hand, teaching softly, "Chloe, when you visit someone else's house, you shouldn't look around like that, okay?"
The little girl blinked, obediently nodded, and stopped looking around.
As they entered the gate, Lance was in the hall dealing with documents.
Sam came in and respectfully announced, "Young Master, Dr. Deanna is here, accompanied by her daughter."
Lance didn't even raise his head, saying lightly, "Let them in."
Sam acknowledged and led them into the house.
As soon as Deanna and Chloe entered, Chloe immediately obediently greeted, "Hello, uncle."
Lance's tone was gentle as he responded, "Hello."
They sat down, and Lance looked at Deanna, asking, "Is Gregory feeling better?"
Deanna answered truthfully, "He's fine, just a minor injury, he'll be fine after a couple of days of rest."
Lance hesitated for a moment, then said, "The kindergarten they attend is owned by the Mercer Group. I've already had them straighten things out. I believe such incidents won't happen again."
His implication was that he hoped the two children wouldn't be traumatized anymore.
Deanna suddenly realized, no wonder the principal was so submissive, it was because of Lance.
He helped her again.
Her mood was complicated as she thanked, "Thank you, Mr. Mercer, for your help."
Lance said indifferently, "No need, the kindergarten bears a great responsibility for this matter. It's my duty to manage the people under my control."
He changed the subject, saying, "There's something else I feel I should tell you. I've investigated, and Raphael was behind this incident."
Deanna's face turned extremely ugly at his words, her beautiful eyes filled with anger.
To target children like this was simply despicable!
She suppressed her anger and thanked Lance again, "Thank you, Mr. Mercer."
She handed over the herbs and instructed, "These herbs are fresh, I just picked them. Put one in when you boil the medicine tonight. Also, you need acupuncture for half an hour today. Mr. Mercer, when would it be convenient for you?"
Lance thought for a moment and said, "I have an important conference call later, probably until nine."
Deanna glanced at the time, there were still two hours left.
"Okay, I'll wait for you."
Lance nodded and instructed Sam to bring fruits and pastries, placing them on the table.
He said to Deanna and Chloe, "Please sit for a while, help yourselves."
With that, he went straight to the study.
