Just as Deanna was feeling puzzled, she suddenly heard Julia's voice.
"Deanna, over here!"
Not far away, Julia stood under an arch made of fresh flowers, waving at Deanna.
In the light, the pure white rose petals swayed in the wind, creating a beautiful scene.
Deanna walked over, amazed, and smiled. "Why did you come out?"
"Landon messaged me to come get you. This place is too big, and he was worried you might get lost."
Julia explained and warmly took Deanna's arm, leading her inside.
Deanna didn't suspect anything and followed her, asking, "Is this a new restaurant? The environment looks quite romantic and beautiful. It might become a popular spot soon."
Hearing this, Julia almost couldn't hold back her laughter.
Deanna noticed Julia's unusual reaction. "Julia, what's so funny?"
"Nothing, nothing at all."
Julia tried hard not to laugh and managed to hold it in.
At this point, Deanna started to feel something was off. "Why have we been walking for so long? I haven't seen the restaurant yet. How much further is it?"
"Uh, we're almost there."
Julia quickened her pace.
Despite this, Deanna still had some doubts.
Before she could ask more questions, she saw a familiar figure. "Grandma?"
"Deanna."
Old Ashley looked at Deanna with a smile.
At this moment, Deanna felt very confused.
Just as she was about to ask more questions, Julia let go of her and said with a bright smile, "Alright, my task is done. Now let Grandma take you inside. Deanna, be happy!"
Julia gave Deanna a hug and then turned to leave.
Watching her walk away, Deanna was full of questions.
"Grandma, what's going on?"
Although she asked this, scenes from a few days ago when Julia came to find her flashed through her mind, and she had some guesses.
Old Ashley didn't know that Deanna had already guessed. She said mysteriously, "You'll know when we get there. Come with me."
Deanna listened and nodded with a slight smile.
Before long, they reached the end of the flower arch and were stunned by the scene before them.
To be precise, Deanna was the only one surprised.
The reason was that there were many cute lanterns around, exquisitely crafted.
Most importantly, these lanterns displayed photos of Deanna and Lance together.
There were photos of them hugging, kissing, and various other moments that looked very happy.
Next to the lanterns stood a group of people familiar to Deanna.
There were her close friends and family members.
"Anna, be happy!"
Old Hughes was the first to speak with a cheerful smile.
As his words fell, it seemed to trigger something. Everyone present began to offer their blessings.
"Deanna, wishing you and Mr. Mercer a long and happy life together!"
"You must be happy; otherwise, my sacrifice would be in vain."
"Missus, good luck!"
As these words fell, Lance slowly walked out from the other side with a bouquet of roses symbolizing love.
His appearance pushed the atmosphere to a climax.
Led by Xavier, everyone started cheering.
"Here he comes! Mr. Mercer, go for it!"
"Propose-propose-"
Listening to the cheers around her, Deanna looked tenderly at the man walking towards her.
Lance walked up to Deanna, then knelt on one knee and took out a finely crafted diamond ring from his pocket. He asked with deep emotion, "Deanna, will you marry me?"
With his actions, the crowd erupted in cheers again.
"Marry him! Marry him!"
"Deanna, what are you waiting for? Say yes!"
Seeing Deanna staring blankly at Lance, Julia shouted anxiously from the side.
Hearing Julia's voice brought Deanna back to her senses. She looked at the man in front of her with a mix of shyness and amusement. "We already set the wedding date. Why are you doing this?"
"Even though we set the date, you should have what other women have."
Lance looked up at Deanna with deep affection.
Deanna was deeply moved by his words.
At this moment, Lance asked again, "Will you marry me?"
"I will." Deanna nodded and extended her hand.
Seeing this, Lance slowly placed the ring on Deanna's finger.
Under the lights, the sparkling diamond ring emitted a pure white glow.
The crowd erupted into applause once again.
Julia and Xavier started chanting loudly, "Kiss! Kiss!"
Hearing this, Lance stood up from the ground and looked at the shy woman in front of him with a smile. He slowly leaned in and embraced her.
Deanna blushed but didn't avoid him.
She gently closed her eyes, her eyelashes trembling with excitement like her heartbeat at that moment.
Soon after, she felt the warmth on her lips and heard the cheers of her friends around her. Then there was a loud bang.
The once dark sky suddenly lit up with brilliant fireworks.
