Within minutes, Deanna, led by Miss Mills, arrived at the company's technical department.
As soon as they stood at the entrance, they heard loud complaints from inside.
"This lousy company has no right to keep us here and lock us up. This is illegal."
"No way, I'm calling the police to report this company for restricting my freedom."
"Enough, stop arguing. Don't you know why we're being held here?"
At this moment, a deep male voice spoke, and the previously noisy crowd fell silent.
Deanna recognized that this must be the leader of the technical staff. If she could persuade him, the others would likely stay as well.
With this in mind, she made a decisive decision and pushed the door open.
As she entered, the technical staff who had been speaking turned to look at her, their eyes showing surprise.

Unfortunately, Braelynn was not one to follow rules, and the company's benefits were not enough to sway him.
"Miss Mills' words are reasonable, but we've been planning to resign for a while. We stayed because of Kamden. Now that Kamden has left the company, there's no reason for us to stay. Besides, we are close to Kamden. If we stay, the new chairwoman might not feel at ease, right?" Braelynn said, looking directly at Deanna.
Deanna's eyebrows subtly raised.
She understood his underlying message: they were leaving because she had driven Kamden away. They wouldn't stay unless she allowed Kamden to stay, which was impossible.
Someone like Kamden would only hasten the company's downfall.

Others chimed in as well.
Their words almost made Deanna laugh in anger.
