Chapter 441: Making Deanna Lose What Matters Most

The hospital room, which had been quiet, became lively after the two little ones arrived.

"Mommy, let me blow on your wounds. It won't hurt anymore."

Chloe looked at her injured mother with deep concern, standing on tiptoe by the bedside and blowing gently.

Deanna felt warmth in her heart but also a sense of helplessness.

Especially when she saw her son sitting nearby, sulking. She didn't know what to say.

After all, she had hidden the truth from them and let Lance deceive them, which was indeed wrong.

So, she took the initiative to apologize to the little guy, "Alright, don't be mad anymore, okay?"

Gregory blinked his eyes and softened at her words but didn't turn his head to look at Deanna.

Deanna naturally noticed this and knew he was waiting for her to coax him.

She helplessly pulled him into her arms, showering him with affection and apologies.

Gregory laughed heartily at her antics and forgave her.

Even so, Gregory didn't forget that Lance had lied to him and ignored Lance all night.

Lance noticed this and cast a pleading look at Deanna.

Deanna returned a helpless look.

Around ten o'clock, Samantha noticed it was getting late and called the two little ones to go home.

"I don't want to go. I want to stay with Mommy."

Gregory stayed by Deanna's side, unwilling to leave.

Chloe felt the same way.

Samantha thought it wasn't good for them to rest in the hospital.

But before she could say anything, her son spoke up first, "If that's the case, let them stay."

"They can't sleep well in the hospital," Samantha frowned in disapproval.

However, since the two little ones insisted, she had no choice but to leave alone.

Meanwhile, Bella also received news that Lance was personally taking care of Deanna in the hospital.

Even Samantha and Logan had taken Deanna's two children back to the Mercer family mansion to care for them.

"Damn it! Damn it! Deanna is inferior to me in every way. Why did I lose in the end?"

She cursed angrily, her eyes showing a hint of madness. "Deanna, you forced me!"

Originally, she planned to ruin Deanna's reputation and separate her from Lance.

Now she was no longer satisfied with that; she wanted Deanna to regret fighting over a man with her.

She wanted Deanna to lose what mattered most!

Despite her anger, she didn't forget how formidable Lance was.

She took a deep breath to calm herself down and muttered, "To make this work, I need a long-term plan. I can't fail like last time!"

Deanna had no idea someone was plotting against her behind her back.

She stayed in the hospital for two days. Once she felt better, she insisted on being discharged.

Initially, she wanted to go home.

After this incident, she felt that no amount of precautions would help; if someone wanted to scheme against her, they would find a way.

In the end, Lance persuaded her otherwise.

After all, returning home with such visible injuries would only worry her grandmother immensely.

Samantha and Logan knew about Deanna returning to Hencard Villa and that their son had coaxed her back there.

However, they still looked down on Deanna and felt that if they allowed them to keep staying together, it would be even harder to separate them in the future.

Therefore, they were thinking of ways to clarify their relationship further.

One day after work, Logan returned home and saw his wife sitting in the living room. The coffee table was covered with valuable jewelry from her dowry.

"Why did you take these out?"

"A few days ago we talked about repaying Dr. Deanna's kindness. I thought giving money might insult Dr. Deanna and anger our son. So I decided on an expensive gift instead."

Samantha explained her plan.

Logan wasn't too optimistic about it. "I think you should reconsider; Dr. Deanna won't accept it."

Samantha understood this too but smiled confidently. "Don't worry about it. I have my ways to make Dr. Deanna accept the gift without making our son angry."

Seeing his wife's confidence, Logan said nothing more.

At the same time, in the Mercer Group CEO's office, Lance called Xavier in for an update on their investigation.

Xavier reported honestly, "Those people are very cautious. After several days of investigation, we only identified one suspect."

"Who?" Lance pressed further.

Xavier hesitated before saying, "We're still gathering specific information. The person seems to be a computer expert; we only spotted him accidentally in a video."

Hearing this made Lance dissatisfied since several days had passed with minimal progress.

Xavier understood their progress was slow and quickly added, "Now that we have a suspect, the investigation should speed up significantly. We should uncover the mastermind soon."
