Chapter 294: Stay Abroad Forever

The flight from Cloudmere to Feblesh took over ten hours.

Samantha was unaware that Lance had already fled.

By evening, she called Lance to remind him not to forget his meeting with Miss Chan. However, she couldn't reach him.

She assumed Lance was avoiding her and scoffed, "You think ignoring my calls will solve anything? You can hide, but you can't escape!"

She then turned and called her husband.

"Are you still at the office?"

"Yes, why?" Logan's gentle voice came through the phone.

Samantha, annoyed, replied, "It's your troublesome son. I wanted to remind him about his meeting with Miss Chan, but I can't reach him. If you're at the office, check his room to see if he's there."

"Got it, I'll go now."

Logan hung up and headed to the CEO's office. Unfortunately, Lance wasn't there.

Logan frowned and called Lance. This time, the call went through.

"Where are you? Don't forget your meeting with Miss Chan tonight."

"I never agreed to that. I'm on a business trip in Feblesh. We'll talk when I get back."

Lance hung up before Logan could respond. Logan's face darkened. It was clear Lance had gone abroad to avoid the arranged date.

When Samantha found out, she was furious.

"He better stay abroad forever if he dares!"

Bella was equally enraged. She had been keeping an eye on the Mercer family and knew about the arranged date.

"Damn it! After all my efforts to please them, they want to set Lance up with someone else!"

Bella fumed, but what upset her most was the news that Lance had taken Deanna abroad with him. Alone together, who knows what might happen?

In Feblesh, after a day of rest and adjusting to the time difference, Deanna and her children decided to explore the area. As they stepped out, they saw Lance at their door.

"Mr. Mercer, why are you here? Aren't you going to the office today?" Deanna asked in surprise.

Lance smiled, "I finished my work yesterday. Now, I'm here to show you around."

"Great! Uncle is coming with us," the children cheered.

Deanna laughed and agreed. The four of them left the hotel like a family.

Their first stop was the largest history museum in the area, following Xavier's travel guide.

"Wow, it's huge," the children exclaimed upon entering, especially admiring the vintage carriage in the main hall.

Chloe looked at it in awe. "It's so beautiful. Is it a princess's carriage, Mommy?"

Deanna shook her head honestly. "I don't know."

Lance's gentle voice explained, "It's not a princess's carriage. It's from the third generation of Feblesh royalty, used by Emperor Delia during his campaigns."

"Uncle, you're amazing," Chloe said excitedly.

Lance chuckled and pointed to a nearby sign. "I'm not amazing; there's an explanation here."

The children ran over to read it. Chloe struggled with the English text and asked her brother, "What does it say?"

"It says what Uncle just told us. Emperor Delia used this carriage during his victorious campaigns," Gregory explained after reading the sign.

Lance raised an eyebrow in surprise. The sign contained many difficult words for Gregory's age.

Xavier couldn't help but ask Deanna, "Dr. Deanna, do kindergartens teach such advanced words now?"

"No, Gregory learned them from reading and watching international news," Deanna replied proudly.

Lance felt a surge of pride too. His son was so knowledgeable at such a young age.

He couldn't resist saying, "Since Gregory is so eager to learn, I'll arrange for a professional language tutor when we return."

"That's not necessary," Deanna hesitated for two reasons. First, she didn't want Gregory to feel pressured at such a young age; she wanted him to grow up carefree. Second, if Gregory wanted to learn more, she could find a tutor herself.
