With Deanna and her team arriving, the free clinical treatment began as scheduled.
At ten in the morning, several small trucks suddenly arrived outside.
People started whispering among themselves.
"What's going on? Are they here to cause trouble again?"
"Who would dare cause trouble? This is a joint free clinic by the Hughes family and the Wright family."
"Exactly, let's see what's happening."
As they spoke, people saw individuals getting out of the trucks.
Then, bags of medicinal herbs were unloaded from the trucks.
Old Hughes and Old Wright were alerted and came out with their people.
Seeing the piles of herbs outside, they were somewhat surprised.
Just as Old Hughes was about to ask someone what was going on, a young man who seemed to be the leader walked over.
"Old Hughes, I am a subordinate of the Osborne family. In gratitude for the kindness shown by Old Hughes, Old Wright, and Dr. Deanna, Old Mr. Osborne felt he couldn't repay you enough, so he purchased many medicinal herbs for your use. These herbs are also for the patients coming for treatment, all free of charge."
The patients present were astonished upon hearing this.
No one expected that the Osborne family had arranged this.
Old Hughes and Old Wright were also quite surprised but thought Old Osborne was being considerate.
Deanna was also very surprised but could guess the Osborne family's intentions. She thought to herself that Old Osborne knew how to handle things well.
Others who heard this also changed their view of the Osborne family.
"So it was the Osborne family being so generous."
"At least they have sincerity."
Old Hughes ignored these comments and decided to accept the herbs.
After all, there was no reason to refuse free supplies.
Old Hughes then arranged for people to move the herbs into the warehouse. With Lance's people helping, the herbs from the trucks were quickly unloaded.
The Osborne family's subordinates then took their leave.
Soon, the free clinical treatment continued.
Deanna was busy all morning.
The two little ones were also helping by serving tea and water to the doctors and handing out items, behaving very well.
"Uncle Efrain, have some water."
"Old Wright, please have some snacks."
"Old Hughes, I'll give this prescription to Ava."
The clinic occasionally echoed with their soft and cute voices.
Old Hughes and Old Wright were very fond of the two little ones, often giving them snacks from the table.
Seeing the two little ones eating snacks non-stop all morning, Lance worried they wouldn't eat lunch and called them over.
"It's almost lunchtime. Stop eating snacks, or you won't be able to eat lunch," he gently reminded them.
The two little ones nodded obediently. "Got it."
After that, they continued helping their mommy and the other uncles and aunts present.
Lance felt both worried and gratified seeing this.
With so many people around, he was concerned they might fall.
Old Hughes and Old Wright noticed all this and were quite astonished.
The two old men huddled together and started gossiping.
"Lance seems to treat Anna's children differently. Isn't he a bit too concerned?" Old Wright said.
He then remembered the events at the previous banquet and felt there must be something between Lance and Deanna.
He stared at Old Hughes curiously. "Old man, do you know something?"
"I do know something, but why should I tell you?" Old Hughes snorted arrogantly.
Despite his words, he was quite surprised himself.
Although he had always intended to match Lance with Deanna, he had never shown it openly.
And now, during these two days of free clinical treatment, Lance had been coming to the clinic regularly. That was unusual.
He had never asked Lance to come over voluntarily before.
So... could there have been some progress between them without him knowing?
Thinking this, Old Hughes looked at Lance again and saw him following behind the two little ones like a guardian.
Moreover, the two children's attitude towards Lance seemed special too.
Their behavior showed they relied on Lance a lot.
When Lance and Deanna stood together with the children, they looked like a family.
For a moment, Old Hughes was shocked by his own thoughts.
"But I must say, Chloe and Gregory do resemble Lance a bit," he muttered softly.
Old Wright only heard some vague sounds and looked over in confusion. "What did you say?"
"Nothing. Let's get back to treating patients. There are still many waiting outside."
Old Hughes didn't want to share his discovery with Old Wright.
After sending him away, he pondered over what he had noticed. The more he thought about it, the more suspicious he became.
Finally, unable to hold back, he found an opportunity to call Lance aside where no one else was around.
Lance looked at Old Hughes' mysterious expression with suspicion. "Old Hughes, do you need something?"
"Lance, tell me honestly. Why do Dr. Deanna's children seem so close to you? They even look a bit like you. If I didn't know better about Dr. Deanna's background, I would've thought they were yours."
