Since they could remember, her twins had always been very well-behaved.
Perhaps it was because they didn't have a father, the two little ones seemed mature beyond their years.
Recently, only when Lance was around did they behave like children.
Thinking of this, Deanna suddenly froze, realizing that this situation wasn't ideal.
The two children clearly treated Lance differently. If this continued, they might mistakenly think of Lance as their father.
With this in mind, Deanna frowned slightly, wondering if she should keep a bit of distance from Lance after returning.
But before she could think further, she saw her son already cozily snuggling up to Lance.
"Uncle, I want to tell you something."
"What is it?"
Lance looked over in confusion.
Even Deanna curiously glanced over.
Unexpectedly, the little guy handed his phone to Lance. "Uncle, this game was developed by your company, right? I found a spot where there's a slight lag, affecting the gaming experience. The skills can't be released in time, and the character might get killed by monsters."
Lance recognized the game on the phone as one developed by their Mercer Group.
Although he didn't understand games, he watched the little guy operate the game character carefully.
Soon he noticed that the little guy was right; there was indeed a lag in the game just now.
If Gregory hadn't been quick with his hands, the character might have been hit by the monster.
Xavier, standing beside them, was already dumbfounded.
Were kids these days really this amazing?
Not only did Gregory show impressive gaming skills, but spotting that bug wasn't something an ordinary child could do.
Gregory didn't realize how much he had shocked the two adults.
He stopped playing and spoke in a soft yet professional tone. "Uncle, that bug is probably due to a backend data issue. You could have someone check it or implement a regular data repair program."
"I understand. I'll have someone handle it," Lance nodded, curious about the little guy's computer skills. "Can you write programs?"
"I've read a few books and know a bit. I haven't fully understood everything yet, but once I do, I'll know even more," Gregory said, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
Clearly, he loved this subject.
Lance noticed too and joked, "Not bad. When you get better, I'll hire you as a product tester for our company."
"Sure! Will there be a salary?" Gregory agreed without hesitation, looking like a little money-grubber.
Deanna found it amusing that they had somehow started discussing business.
At this moment, she felt her arm being tugged and heard her daughter speak enviously, "Mommy, brother is amazing. He can help you make money."
Deanna ruffled her daughter's hair and looked proudly at her son.
Indeed, Gregory was very sensitive to computers and electronics. Often, before she could figure something out, he had already understood it.
Xavier's feelings at this moment were beyond shock.
Was he outdated, or had the world gone mad?
A five-year-old who could read computer books and learn to write programs on his own-this was unbelievable!
Later in the evening, noticing that the two little ones were getting sleepy, Lance suggested leaving.
"Handsome Uncle, Uncle Xavier, good night. See you tomorrow," the two little ones waved goodbye obediently.
Lance smiled and responded, "Good night. See you tomorrow."
Soon, only the mother and her two children were left in the room.
Chloe and Gregory sensibly helped their mommy to bed.
Outside the door, Xavier sighed to Lance, "Mr. Mercer, Dr. Deanna's children are truly remarkable-not only well-behaved but also so smart. Dr. Deanna is really blessed. If my future children are as sensible as Chloe and Gregory, I'd wake up laughing from my dreams."
Lance chuckled at his words. "What, thinking about getting married? How about I give you a few days off to go on some blind dates?"
"I was just saying," Xavier quickly dismissed Mr. Mercer's suggestion.
Though he admired Dr. Deanna's situation, he wasn't ready to end his single life just yet.
Being single was great-free and unrestrained.
Meanwhile, in the city at the Cody family residence.
Bella was about to rest when she received a call from her assistant.
"Miss Cody, early this morning Mr. Mercer took Deanna and her twins to Assard Mountain Resort for a vacation."
Previously, after delivering breakfast once, Bella couldn't get in touch with Lance again.
In desperation, she had someone track Lance's whereabouts, hoping to find an opportunity to meet him by chance and get closer to him.
But she never expected to hear such news!
Unsurprisingly, Bella's face turned dark and ugly immediately.
