Chapter 1118: It's Time to End This

Back at the temporary residence, Eula was still very angry.

She asked Avery to inquire about Old Ashley's condition.

At the same time, Gunner also learned about Eula's appearance and called Lance out of the ward.

"How did Eula show up? Didn't you notify the embassy?"

"She posed as an entrepreneur. The embassy probably didn't find any issues, so they had to let her through," Lance speculated.

Gunner's face darkened. "This woman is really troublesome."

Lance didn't comment on that. Instead, he changed the subject, saying in a deep voice, "I plan to settle things with Eula. It might provoke her into seeking out Deanna."

Hearing this, Gunner looked worried. "Isn't that too risky? What if she harms Deanna? Deanna is pregnant, and although we don't know if the baby will survive, we must be cautious."

"I know. I'll secretly assign people to watch Eula and won't give her a chance to harm Deanna. This is the only way to find out Deanna's whereabouts," Lance said with a frown.

To be honest, if there were any other way, he wouldn't want to put Deanna at risk. But Eula was more cunning than he had imagined, leaving no loose ends in her actions.

Two days passed quietly. Although it seemed calm, there was actually a lot of activity behind the scenes.

Finally, on the third night, Lance received documents sent back by Randall from abroad. He skimmed through them and handed them to Xavier, instructing, "Draft a division contract based on these proportions."

"Yes," Xavier nodded and took the documents to start working.

During this time, Lance was also busy handling company affairs. After about two hours, Xavier completed the contract template and handed it to Lance for review. "Mr. Mercer, please check if this is acceptable."

Lance took the contract and reviewed it. He pointed out a few minor issues and then had Xavier make three copies of the contract before notifying Eula to meet at the club the next day.

When Eula received Lance's message, her previously gloomy mood brightened a bit. Although her intuition told her that Lance's sudden invitation might not be good news, she couldn't help but feel a bit excited. Since her intentions were exposed, Lance hadn't been alone with her.

The next morning, Eula got up early to prepare for meeting Lance. She had someone come over to do her makeup. No matter what Lance's intentions were, she wanted to look her best in front of him.

By the time she set off to meet Lance, it was already one in the afternoon. Fortunately, their meeting time was set for two o'clock.

Arriving at the designated club, Eula noticed that there were many armed guards around. Avery also sensed that the bodyguards were not friendly and followed Eula closely, advising her, "Master, I think Lance's invitation might be a trap. We should leave now while we still can."

"What's there to fear? I came to Chiaz openly, and even if Lance knows I schemed against Deanna, he has no evidence against me. Leaving now would only make me look scared," Eula replied. She didn't mention that leaving now would waste her newly done makeup.

Their conversation was quiet enough that only they could hear it.

Soon, they were led by bodyguards into the club's lounge. In the lounge, Lance sat in a central booth wearing a black suit, his expression cold. Around him stood a circle of well-trained bodyguards.

Eula glanced around and then walked towards Lance with a charming smile. When she was two steps away from him, she stopped, lifted her skirt slightly, and twirled around, batting her eyelashes at him. "Do you like my outfit today? I heard it's the latest trend in Chiaz."

Lance looked at her indifferently and said coldly, "I have no interest in such things."

Ignoring Eula's frozen smile, he signaled Xavier to bring out the prepared contract.

Xavier complied and handed over the contract drafted the previous day. Lance took it and placed it on the table, pushing it towards Eula. "This is a division of assets based on our investments over the years. If you have no objections, sign it."

Eula's smile vanished completely. She didn't look at the contract but stared directly at Lance with her blue eyes, asking seriously, "What do you mean by this?"

"This matter should have been settled a month ago. Too many things happened since then, delaying it until now. It's time to end this," Lance replied.
