Chapter 1111: Dayton Found It Strange

Gunner didn't notice Lance's small movements; his mind was entirely captivated by Lance's words.

"Silence the witness, whom?"

"Bella."

Lance coldly uttered the name.

Gunner's face immediately changed, turning as grim as Lance's. "So, the trail is lost again?"

But Lance shook his head. "Not necessarily."

Eula's eyelids twitched upon hearing this.

Suppressing her unease, she looked over inquisitively and asked, "Do you have a plan?"

"Didn't you just say that this might be the Eagle Gang's doing? In that case, I'll pay them a visit."

Lance sneered as he spoke.

Gunner squinted his eyes, scanning between the two of them but said nothing.

Eula was momentarily taken aback by Lance's words but quickly composed herself and nodded. "It's good to go. I'll go with you."

She naturally had to go to prevent any unforeseen incidents.

Deanna was unaware of what was happening here.

Since she had relaxed and focused on recuperating, her demeanor had visibly changed.

However, Dayton felt uneasy about Deanna's change in attitude.

Why had she been so quiet lately, not even asking to go out? It was too strange.

Could it be that being cooped up at home had driven her mad?

Eventually, Dayton couldn't help but approach Deanna and suggest, "Kamila, do you want to go out for a walk?"

"Didn't you say I shouldn't go out until I'm fully recovered?"

Deanna raised an eyebrow at him.

Dayton was momentarily at a loss and quickly explained, "That was before. Now you're much better, your complexion is rosy. It's okay to go out for a bit."

"Alright then, I actually do want to go out for a stroll."

Deanna put down her book and got up to leave.

She wasn't lying; she genuinely wanted to go out and see if she could encounter anything familiar to jog her memory.

Over the past few days, she occasionally had vague images in her mind. Her intuition told her that triggering these memories would help her regain her memory.

Dayton didn't know this. Seeing Deanna genuinely preparing to leave, his expression turned both regretful and anxious.

Although Deanna wasn't a celebrity recognizable by everyone, what if someone did recognize her?

If Deanna were recognized, he wouldn't even get the chance to see Lance's downfall before he was done for himself.

"Uh, Kamila, wait. I just checked the weather forecast; it says it will rain in an hour. How about we go out another day and just walk in the garden today?"

Dayton tried to change Deanna's mind.

Looking at the man who changed his mind on a whim, Deanna's eyes showed displeasure. "You must have seen a fake weather forecast. The one I saw said it would be sunny all day."

She questioned Dayton's gaze. "Or are you saying you don't actually want me to go out?"

"Of course not. Let's go out now."

Dayton instinctively refuted and then regretted it immediately.

If Deanna went out, how would he hide her identity?

Wait, don't celebrities wear masks and sunglasses when they go out? He should just have Deanna wear those too.

Thinking this was a good idea, Dayton went to the wardrobe while Deanna changed clothes and picked out the largest sunglasses he had.

As for masks, he asked Jack to bring a medical mask.

Soon, they met in the living room.

Dayton eagerly handed the sunglasses and mask to Deanna. "Kamila, it's very sunny outside, and the air quality isn't great with all the smog. Wearing these will be better for you and the baby."

Deanna looked at the items in front of her and then at Dayton, understanding his little scheme.

But she didn't refuse; the sun was indeed strong outside, and the smog wasn't good for the baby.

With that, Deanna put on the sunglasses and mask and went out.

In the car, Dayton asked, "Kamila, where do you want to go?"

"Anywhere is fine; you decide."

Deanna replied casually.

Without her memory, she naturally didn't know where to go.

Realizing he had asked a foolish question, Dayton directed the driver to a mall.

Deanna noted the name in her mind and looked out the window.

Unfortunately, the scenery outside felt unfamiliar and did nothing to trigger her memory.

Suddenly, she remembered something and turned to Dayton. "In three days, it's time for my prenatal check-up. Can you schedule an appointment for me?"

"Sure, I'll go with you."

Dayton nodded instinctively.

Deanna glanced at him but said nothing more.

She thought perhaps this man was just being cautious.

Just like how he insisted she be fully disguised when going out.
