I Care for You
Samar was in a dilemma after listening to Avika's words regarding Jashwesh. Though he couldn't believe her words, he still doesn't want to take any risk with Avika. Samar decided to inquiry about Jashwesh.
"Avika, I will bring dinner for us. You just relax and stay in our room," Samar said.
Samar left the room. Suddenly the power was gone, and Avika felt an unknown fear in her heart, making her call Samar louder. Her heartbeat increased, and she clenched her fist, suspecting something wrong. Avika called Samar.
"Samar, please come fast. I hate darkness."
"Don't worry, sweetheart. I will be there within five minutes," Samar said and disconnected the call.
Avika went to lock the door, and suddenly she felt someone touching her.
"Samar, Thank God you came. I am sacred of this darkness," Avika said.
The person turned her back and hugged her from behind. He moved his fingers over her bareback. Avika pushed him with all the force realizing that it's not her husband.
"Who are you?" Avika shouted with fear.
She switched on the torch on her mobile, but couldn't find anyone there. She took the knife. Someone touched her shoulder. Avika attacked the person with the knife making his hand bleed.
"Samar? I...am...sorry," Avika said with tears.
Samar screamed in pain.
"It's ok. Bring the first aid box."
Avika tied the bandage to Samar's hand with tears in her eyes. She didn't understand whether it's her illusion about Jashwesh and someone entering their room or true. Hurting Samar increased her worry.
Samar hugged her from the side, seeing her worried and frightened.
"What happened to you? I feel something is wrong."
Avika told Samar what had happened before a few minutes.
"When I returned to the room, the door was locked. I opened it with the spare key. How could someone enter into our room when it's locked?"
"But I didn't lock the room. I went to lock the door and someone..."
"As you are unwell, I locked the room before leaving."
"Samar, you are not believing my words. But it's true that someone came to our room."
"Ok, please relax. I won't leave you alone even for a second from now. So that no one can harm you. Tomorrow we will leave to our home. You will be free from these fears."
Samar fed Avika and gave her the medicine. She hugged him tightly and held his hands.
"Don't worry. Sleep now. I am here," Samar said, patting on Avika's shoulder and caressing her hairs.
Sleep is away from Samar as his thoughts revolved around Avika's words about Jashwesh.
"Don't worry, Avika. No one can harm you. I will protect you."
Samar kissed her on the forehead. The next day both came to their home. He got shocked by seeing his parents there. Samar introduced his parents to Avika, and the couple took their blessings.
"Avika, ask the cook to make juice for mom and dad."
"Why? Don't your wife know even to prepare a juice?" Garima, Samar's mom, said sarcastically, seeing Avika.
"Come on, mom. Avika is unwell," Samar said.
"No one shows sympathy on those who spoil their life with their wrong decisions, ignoring parent's advice."
Avika was in tears understanding the aversion and hatred for her in the words of her mother-in-law. Samar tried to stop his mom.
"Anyways, Avika bring us two glasses of juice. I don't think you will be tired just for making juice," Garima said.
"Sure, mom. I will bring."
"I prefer aunty over mom. Because I never want a daughter like you," Garima said, remembering Avika her past. Avika nodded and went to the kitchen.
"Mom, why are you hurting Avika like that?"
"Don't you know the reason? With God's grace, you are alive today. But what if something had happened to you that day?" Garima said, and Samar signaled her to stop as Avika came there. Avika served juice to them.
"Samar, Shall I prepare lunch?"
"Avika, mom and dad are leaving now. For us, you can ask maid to prepare. Now you get fresh up and take a rest. I will come after sending them.
"Are they not going to stay with us? I thought they came to stay with us," Avika said and left to their room.
"Mom, I know I am hurting you. I know the reason behind your anger with Avika. But no one is perfect in this world. We are humans and commit some or the other mistake in our lifetime. So please forgive her. She is already in pain. We shouldn't increase it. I am sorry for marrying her without you acceptance. Maybe I am not a good son," Samar said.
"Samar, don't say that. You are a very good son. We always love you. Your mom concern is about you. If Avika loves you, keeps you happy and takes care of you, your mom will forget everything.
But still you are the one who is caring for her but we didn't see her taking care of you. We don't know how long it takes to make her normal and make her understand her responsibility as a wife. We hope she will be a good life partner to you. We will leave now," Harsha, Samar's father said.
Avika heard their words.
"Maybe they are right. Only Samar is taking care of me and loving me every second. But I am not able to give him any happiness. I should come out of this trauma soon at least for him. Only then I can discharge my responsibilities as a wife perfectly. I love him but I should express it in my acts. I should stop worrying about the past," Avika said to herself.
Samar took shower and saw Avika pressing his clothes. He came near to her and she turned to give his clothes. Avika lowered her gaze seeing as Samar shirtless. Samar enjoyed her blushing and hugged her from the behind. He shook his head and the water drops fell on Avika making her shiver. He intertwined his fingers with Avika's, creating an unknown sensation in her. Then slowly he moved his hands over her and kissed her cheeks. Avika held his hands tightly. Samar felt happy as she didn't react wildly. He turned her towards him. She gave his clothes and he got ready. Samar left to the office as there is some meeting.
Avika saw her palm where her nails pierced and started to bleed. She remembered her past when Samar came closer to her. But to control her anger and not to hurt him, she clutched tightly and her nails pierced into her hands n started bleeding. She Wiped her tears and applied medicine to it.
In the evening, Samar came back home. Samar noticed Avika having food with difficulty. He saw her palm which was has deep cut.
"What happened to your hands?"
"It's nothing, just a small injury," Avika said, hiding her pain from him.
Samar didn't speak anything and helped her to have food. Avika laid on the bed and Samar started working on his laptop.
"It's late. Sleep now."
"No, Avika. It's very important. Today before 12 am I must send the quotation. I will sleep after completing it," Samar said.
Samar typed something and deleted it. He did it several times and Avika observed it.
"What happened to you?"
"Actually I am not sure that we will get this offer. I think it's better to drop. Because I don't like to get rejected and face the failure," Samar said.
"So you like to face the failure by yourself and reject your quotation, right?" Avika said "What do you mean?"
"Samar, if you participate you will have a chance to win. If you quit, there's no way to succeed. Trying is not failing. It's learning. But withdrawing trials is the real failure. I know my husband never fails. Either he will win or learn, both ways he rocks," Avika said, holding his hands.
Samar smiled and kissed her.
"Thank you. It's true that your husband will never fail. Actually I am waiting for this tender from a longtime and want to win it at any cost. So, I am in tension."
Samar sent the mail and slept. Avika remembered his words about the tender and opened his laptop. She sent a new quotation cancelling his quotation. In the morning, Samar woke up and saw Avika keeping everything ready for him. Her sweet gestures of love made Samar realize her struggle to get out of the past.
"What are you doing, sweetheart?"
"Everything is ready. Go and get fresh up. What do you prefer, Tea or coffee?" Avika asked.
"I prefer green tea."
"What about breakfast?"
"Are you going to prepare it?"
"Yes, of course," Avika said.
Samar held her hands and kissed on the palm.
"Let the injury cure first. Anyways I don't want these beautiful hands to get tired. You just bring tea and order maid to prepare breakfast. Tell her to prepare anything that you want to eat," Samar said.
Samar got ready and Avika gave green tea to him. She went to the kitchen to arrange table for breakfast.
"Avika," Samar shouted her name and Avika felt something wrong due to his angry tone. Avika got scared and immediately went to him.
"Who told you to cancel my quotation and send a new one? Did I ask you?" Samar said.
"Samar, I will explain you the reason."
"Stop it, Avika. I told you how important this deal is to me. But you ruined everything. If they reject our company, what will you do?"
"Samar, your quotation is very less. Even if we get the order, we can't provide them product within that amount. Either we have to bear the loss of the remaining amount or leave the tender. I quoted which is less possible amount without loss to the company."
"For me, getting this tender is important. If we get this, we will get offers from many other companies. So, I don't care about the loss for this one tender. I have experience in this field for years. I know what to do. How can you say that I am wrong that easily? Are you going to teach me how to run my company and decide the deals?" Samar said, seriously.
Avika understood that Samar's ego was hurt with her deed. Ego can kill any relationship and that do no good to anyone. She tried to explain him.
"Your quotation is not realistic. That company can understand that. If they don't trust us, they won't accept our quotation. So I changed the quotation. I am sorry but I am confident that we will get it," Avika said.
Samar glared at her and started to office.
"Samar, have your breakfast and go."
"I am not hungry. You don't quit having your meals for me. Have it and take tablets. If possible, I will come for lunch. I am telling you seriously, don't interfere in my office works anymore. Bye."
Samar left to the office and Avika felt disturbed with his words. Samar was upset thinking about Avika for shouting at her. He called her but she didn't receive the call as she slept because of the tiredness caused by crying a lot. Samar got tensed and called to the landline. The maid woke her up and told her that Samar had asked her to call. Avika called Samar.
"Avika, are you ok? Why didn't you receive my calls? Are you angry with me?"
"No. I was sleeping," Avika answered in a low tone as she was upset for making Samar angry.
"Did you have breakfast?"
"I am not hungry."
"I am sorry for hurting you. But I don't like anyone interfering in my office works," Samar said in a calm tone.
"I am not anyone. I am your wife."
"I agree. I am sorry once again. Please have something."
"What about you?"
"I will have food in the canteen. Now you also quit your angry hunger strike and have food. I will come for lunch if I have time. If not please don't mind and have lunch on time."
"Ok."
"Give me a smile, Avika," Samar said.
Avika didn't speak.
"Avika, If you are dull, I can't focus on my work. So please smile."
"I love you, Samar."
"I love you more, sweetheart."
Samar kissed her on the phone making her to blush.
"Blushing?" Samar asked imagining his beautiful wife's smile and blush.
"Smiling," Avika said.
"Blushing plus smiling. Give me mine and then I will start my work."
Avika smiled and kissed him on phone.
"Now go and have food. Bye, take care."
"Bye."
Samar waited for a long time but he didn't get any information about that tender. He was disappointed but decided to tell Avika that they got tender as not to disappoint her. He got a call from the company whom Avika sent quotation in the evening.
"Hello, Samar here."
"Hello, sir. Our company approved the quotation sent by your company. Actually we are informing you lately because we saw your earlier quotation which is unrealistic and then disapproved it as no one can provide the products within that amount. But you took a clever step by requoting. Congratulations, sir," the manager of that company said.
"Thank you."
Samar looked at Avika's photo, smiling proudly.
"You are so intelligent, Avika. You proved me wrong. But I am happy because it's you who won over me. Because of you I have succeeded today. I love you."
Samar returned home and saw Avika reading a book. He went slowly to her and sat beside her. Avika looked at him and smiled.
"Good evening. Get fresh up. I will bring something for you to eat."
Avika got up from the bed but Samar pulled her onto his lap. He hugged her tightly from behind and kissed her cheeks.
"What are you doing?"
"Saying both thanks and sorry in my style."
Avika felt difference in her because she didn't feel nervous or uneasy or anger with his touch. In fact, she felt happy with his love and naughtiness.
"You have apologized me already and why do you want to thank me?"
"We got the tender."
"Wow! Are you saying this to make me happy or is it true?? Please promise me," Avika said.
"Promise, Avika. We got the tender. I love you so much. You made me successful."
Avika turned towards him and hugged him. After some time, he freshened up.
"Avika, Can you work for our company? I trust that if you are me, I will win everything."
"But if I become aggressive again, it's not good."
"I know how to handle the situation if anything happens like that because now you are my wife. I can understand you better than before. So no worries. If you like to work, you can join our company."
"Okay, boss," Avika said, happily.
