Chapter 205: It was going to be one hell of a wedding.
**One Week Until the Wedding**
A triple wedding.
In Damon and Seraphina’s massive estate.
With Dominic cooking, Zayn handling music, Liam somehow in charge of decorations, and Damon running logistics like it was a classified mission.
This was either going to be a masterpiece or a complete disaster.
And no one was entirely sure which.
But one thing was clear—
It was going to be one hell of a wedding.
"Okay, so let me get this straight."
Tessa threw herself onto Seraphina’s couch, legs stretched out as she inspected her nails.
"You’re telling me that my fiancé, your husband, and Liam—**the most chaotic trio I’ve ever met—**are responsible for planning this wedding?"
Seraphina nodded.
"That’s the situation."
Alexandra sighed, sipping her tea. "At this point, it’s out of our hands."
Elena, leaning against the counter, arms crossed, exhaled.
"This is going to be a disaster."
Seraphina smirked.
"Probably."
Tessa groaned. "How did we get here?"
Seraphina grinned. "You agreed to marry Zayn Rivera."
Tessa scowled. "That was my first mistake."
Seraphina arched a brow. "Your first mistake was not realizing you were in love with him sooner."
Tessa huffed. "Fair."
Alexandra smiled. "Honestly? I think this is the most effort any of them have put into anything outside of a mission."
Elena sighed. "That doesn’t make me feel better."
Seraphina laughed. "Relax. They’ll figure it out."
Tessa narrowed her eyes.
"If I end up walking down the aisle to some ridiculous Zayn-approved playlist, I will murder him."
Seraphina smirked. "Too late. You’re already legally bound to him."
Tessa groaned. "Damn it."
In the backyard, Dominic, Zayn, Liam, Damon, and James stood around the firepit, drinks in hand, going over their final plans.
James, watching them all, smirked.
"This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen."
Liam sighed. "And yet, here we are."
Damon, arms crossed, nodded toward the blueprints they had actually laid out on the table.
"Everything’s on schedule," he muttered. "The chairs, tables, and floral arrangements are arriving tomorrow."
Zayn snorted. "Floral arrangements? Really?"
Liam rolled his eyes. "Yes, Zayn. Even you need flowers at a wedding."
Zayn shrugged. "I still think we should have gone with an open bar and nothing else."
Dominic glared. "Not happening."
Zayn grinned. "You’re just mad because you’re cooking for a hundred people."
Dominic smirked. "I’d rather do that than let you pick the music."
Liam choked on his drink. "Oh, God. What are we walking into?"
Zayn grinned wider. "Let’s just say it’ll be… memorable."
Damon sighed. "If I hear one stupid song, I’m canceling the sound system."
James smirked. "If you do that, I’ll personally handle the music."
Everyone stared.
Liam shook his head. "That might actually be worse."
James took a sip of his drink. "Exactly."
Zayn grinned. "Too late now. You put me in charge."
Dominic sighed. "This was a mistake."
**The Night Before**
With just one night left before the wedding, everyone gathered at Damon and Seraphina’s house for what was supposed to be a calm, relaxed evening.
It was not.
Because, naturally, nothing ever went smoothly with this group.
Dominic had taken over the kitchen, barking orders like he was running a military operation.
Liam had somehow gotten roped into setting the table, despite the fact that he had no clue how to properly fold napkins.
Zayn was avoiding all work, lounging on the couch, making sarcastic commentary.
Seraphina, Alexandra, and Tessa were watching the chaos unfold, all equally unimpressed.
"You realize this is what we’re signing up for, right?" Alexandra murmured.
Elena sighed. "Unfortunately."
Tessa smirked. "I say we let them suffer."
Seraphina grinned. "Agreed."
Meanwhile, James and Orion were drinking whiskey in the corner, fully entertained.
James took a sip. "This is beautiful."
Orion nodded. "Almost like watching a car crash in slow motion."
James smirked. "Exactly."
Eventually, after dinner was served and the chaos had settled, Zayn and Tessa found themselves alone on the balcony, watching the moonlight over the backyard where they would be married the next day.
Tessa exhaled.
"You nervous?"
Zayn grinned. "You kidding? I thrive in high-stress environments."
Tessa rolled her eyes. "You’re impossible."
Zayn chuckled, wrapping an arm around her.
"You sure you wanna do this?" he murmured. "Marry me?"
Tessa leaned against him.
"Yeah," she whispered.
Zayn smirked. "Good. ‘Cause if you tried to run, I’d just chase you."
Tessa laughed. "Of course you would."
Zayn tilted his head. "You ready for tomorrow?"
Tessa smirked. "As long as I don’t walk down the aisle to something stupid, yeah."
Zayn grinned. "Define stupid."
Tessa glared. "Zayn—"
He kissed her before she could argue.
And just like that—
The night before their wedding felt perfect.
Meanwhile, in the living room, Dominic and Elena were having their own moment of silence.
Elena, staring into her whiskey glass, muttered—
"You sure you wanna do this?"
Dominic smirked. "Not asking, Steel."
Elena sighed. "Should’ve seen that coming."
Dominic leaned in, his voice lower.
"You nervous?"
Elena exhaled.
"Not about marrying you," she admitted.
Dominic raised a brow. "About what, then?"
Elena gestured toward the rest of the house, where their friends were causing absolute chaos.
"This disaster we’re walking into."
Dominic chuckled.
"Yeah," he murmured. "It’s a mess."
Elena smirked. "It’s our mess."
Dominic kissed her temple.
"Damn right it is."
By the time everyone turned in for the night, the realization had started to sink in.
Tomorrow, they wouldn’t just be teammates, partners, soldiers.
Tomorrow, they’d be married.
And as Damon watched the last of them settle in for the night, standing on the balcony beside Seraphina, he exhaled.
"You think they’re ready?" she murmured.
Damon smirked.
"They have no idea what they’re in for."
And, honestly?
That was the best part.
