Chapter 17 For Me.

Chapter 17 For Me.

Naida

I had been inside the house when I heard all the noise. I was stunned, wondering what exactly had caused all the noises outside.

“Who could that be? And what the hell is going on out there?" I questioned, frowning from my bed. I had been so lost in thought, but the constant noise brought me back to reality. Even when I tried to remain in my thoughts.

Well, I hadn't been able to think straight since I got back from his place, and Jayden was making quite some sense. I didn't know how else to be able to understand it, but that was the truth, or maybe not?

As I continued to ponder, the noise outside became even more terrible. It was like I could hear screams, but what caught my attention was the voice.

It seemed familiar, way too familiar, or maybe I was the one thinking about things in my head.

"You really don't have to bother about everything. Maybe you should ignore them, and relax, think about what you have been told.” My wolf explained.

"Or maybe I should check what the hell is going on there. They might be killing someone and we might not even know.”

Suddenly I heard my name. "I need to speak to Nadia!” I heard the voice say, causing me to free. I didn't know anyone here except…

My eyes widened upon realisation. I didn't want to believe it, but I rushed to the window, and by the time I looked through the glass I saw him.

"Jayden!” I mouthed but my words weren't loud enough. In fact, I was shocked about how things happened.

He was being manhandled by the guards, but he kept screaming. I could clearly see the veins on his forehead which caused me to worry even more.

"Are you sure that he's fine? What is he even doing here?" My wolf asked, but I ignored her. He was clearly in trouble, and if I didn't act now, he was going to be in prison.

"Stop!” I yelled out to the guards breathing hard. My eyes glared at them, being moving to land on Jayden then my gaze softened.

I noticed how hope filled his eyes, and how the guards immediately tried to understand what I had said, but when they still proved stubborn.

"I said let him go!” I yelled, but they were hesitant. Why weren't they obeying me hmm? What was the meaning of this insolence?

"The alpha doesn't let anyone trespass, and he has to face the consequences for his actions, that's why we need to…"

“You don't seem to understand that I am the second in command if Luciver isn't here, so what exactly do you think if I tell him you questioned my orders!!" I yelled, and they immediately let him go, and then I smiled at him.

He gave a gentle wipe of his clothes almost like he was trying to clean the dirt they got on him before waving his hands to me with a gentle smile.

I was stunned to see him here. He was bold, and I loved that about him, but seeing him also reminded me of what he had said earlier, and all the thoughts came flying back.

“I need to see you!" He yelled, and I nodded, leaving the window as I rushed towards the door and outside the room.

My heart kept drumming, and there were already so many things on my mind, but then I already knew what I wanted to ask him.

Now that he was here, I was definitely going to be able to ask him so many questions that had lingered on my mind.

It wasn't long before I reached the stairs, and I rushed to him, holding his hand in mine with a small smile on my lips.

"I'm so glad to see you.” I paused and my expression changed. My eyes were squinted, and crowded lines appeared on my forehead as I paused my lips.

"But why did you risk it? You know how much Luciver is possessive over me, and you still–”

He interrupted me, inching closer as he whispered only to my hearing. "I wanted to make sure he didn't hurt you. I know you're going through a lot. I know you have a lot on your mind as well, and I couldn't help but want to see you again."

I bit my lower lip. It was too dangerous to be here, but it didn't seem like I had any other choice now. I guess I had to let him stay a while.

"We'll be in the garden. He's my visitor. Tell the maids to get something ready for us.” I turned my head to the guards, and gave them instructions. At first they stared at me confused, but when they noticed how serious I was, they immediately frowned, and ran along with what I had said.

As soon as they left, I turned towards him again, offering a small smile..

“I'm really sorry for how they handled you. They were just following Luciver’s orders."

He nodded. “I understand. I should be the one thanking you. You actually saved me from being locked up, and that's why I had to come here. You're such a good hearted person, and you don't deserve to end up in the way you're planned to.”

There it was again. The bold statement I had been afraid of, he had made it again without fear. It seemed like he knew what he was talking about.

"You don't have to worry. As long as you have met with me, you're not going to end up the way you think. There's still a lot, a whole lot coming your way.”

I instantly swallowed. What was he trying to tell me that I didn't know? Why was he repeating the same words?

Was I really doomed?

"Let's just go to the garden. We'll talk more there,” I explained, and he nodded, following me from behind as I led the way.
