Chapter 67 Chapter 67

Chapter 67 Chapter 67
Kael’s pov

She was just a babbling old lady. What did she know? I wasn’t going to sit by and watch her tell me no. I would take the bull by the horns and get out of this hold that Eliara had put me in.

“You haven’t even done any ritual on me yet. You haven’t heard my other symptoms. Why do you say that this is a mate bond without confirming other things?”

She smiled, leaning back with an ease I found disturbing.

“I tried to think of what to do for you when I heard about your problem. That was why I asked the specific questions I asked and found the problem. I know how hard it is for you. You are an alpha. You have a reputation to uphold. So being with someone that doesn’t befit your status is not an option. I have heard this more often that people think. I am a this; I can’t be with a that. It only gets both parties but the ones it hurts more are those who refuse to accept the choices laid out for them.

“They refuse to accept that the choices laid out before them are there for a reason. They refuse to believe that it is important for them to figure out themselves as a unit instead of individually. It ends up causing more issues than if they had just… accepted themselves for who they are. The tragic reality is no one can stay away from their mates. Even if you were to be with someone else, you’d still be drawn to your true mates and you’d only end up destroying something that shouldn’t be destroyed.”

She spoke like someone who had gone through this same issue. Or maybe it was because she was a healer and she had seen so many cases.

Either way, I was not going to accept this madness.

“So you have no solution for me, is that what you’re saying?”

“Without your mate, your wolf slowly regresses until the one thing that makes you a wolf is no more. I have to ask, have you heard from your wolf lately?”

I thought hard. It was when I was still at the hotel that I had heard from my wolf. Prior to that time, I had been hearing less and less from the creature.

“I still hear from my wolf,” I said. “Although not as much as before.”

“Well… that is good. But you have to listen to your wolf. It knows best. If you push it to do what it doesn’t want to do, not only will it break but you will too.”

She got to her feet then smiled. “There is only one cure alpha. Be with your true mate. You will find that you’re happier, the nights are not longer and you will rule with a smile on your face. Trust me.”

I gave a quick nod then walked to the door before stopping.

I turned back to her, a stern look on my face.

“Don’t tell anyone about my visit here.”

She nodded. “My lips are sealed alpha. No one will hear anything from me.”

That was all the confirmation I needed before I nodded and walked out.

I was in my thoughts by the time I entered the packhouse, heading to Dorian’s room.

I walked there then raised my hand to knock when I heard someone moaning loudly. I smiled. It had to be him and the new lady I had heard he was seeing.

There was no need to disturb him.

I turned and walked away. I had wanted to tell him my issues but maybe later.

Dorian’s pov

I grabbed her breasts and sucked one of them while she bounced on my cock, moaning out loud.

Not even the soundproofing of my room could stop her moans and screams from getting out.

Soon, I came in her as we stayed entangled in each other's grip before she pulled out to fall on her back on the bed.

I watched her breasts rise and fall before I leaned back, trying to calm my raging breath.

“Selene you need to stop screaming the way you do,” I muttered. “Anyone outside can hear us.”

“Oh relax will you,” she chuckled, cleaning the sweat that had formed on her forehead. “You know you enjoyed it more.”

I couldn’t argue with her. She was better than Helga.

“So… what is the next plan?”

I smiled, getting to my feet to stretch. “The plan remains the same. Nothing has changed. You marry the alpha and be the Luna, I kill him, I take over, we get married, the end.”

She clapped at that plan. “I like it when you make it look so easy. Yet you forget Eliara. What do we do with her?”

I shrugged. “The alpha doesn’t know about her and me yet. I can get rid of her and no one would bat an eye. I made it impossible for her to be innocent. She is screwed in both the eyes of the judges and the eyes of the pack.”

She nodded. “That is true. I just… I need some sort of reassurance that she won’t be a hindrance.”

I gave her a gaze that told her that she was safe.

“She won’t be a problem.”

She fell back with a heavy sigh leaving her chest.

“Now I feel satisfied.”

I walked to the window to open the curtain a bit to see look outside.

“Why did you come to me? You could have been with the alpha, but you came to me looking like that. Did he reject you?”

She chuckled. “You know how Kael is. Also these days, he doesn’t look at me as he used to. It’s annoying. I hate whenever he looks at me like some wounded animal he feels sorry for. It pisses me off. He’s doing it again. I hate that.”

“So that’s why you came to me?”

She leaned forward to look at me. “He didn’t want to have anything to do with me. Even when I seduced him he couldn’t perform. I had an itch that needed to be taken care of and you did that.”

“So you used me?”

She got out of bed as her legs wobbled for a minute before she got herself and got to me.

We kissed, my hands sliding all the way to her ass which I squeezed before she smiled and stepped away from me.

“I’ll be in the bathroom. Care to join me?”

Who could say no to that? So I joined.
