Sabotage
ALICIA'S POV
I growled as the pain I felt in my head intensified. My vision blurry as I tried to hold on to something, just anything but then I felt my hand hit a solid body and I wondered who that could have been.
“Let me help you.” He said, pulling me closer for protection.
I didn't understand why the light had suddenly gone off. Was it part of the event surprise or had someone tampered with the supply system? I asked no one but myself.
Finn offered to go and take a look to understand why the lights had gone off but I was adamant about letting him go anywhere. It could be dangerous for him out there! And as though confirming my prediction, I heard a loud growl. I felt my heart skip a bit and I struggled to convince myself I didn't hear anything. The growl came again after which there was total silence, everyone feared for their lives, their fate. Nobody dares to move and inches and within seconds, the lights flickered back on, my face turned pale as I saw the light revealed a hostage situation.
The event host was bound and gagged at the front of the room. He had been tied down on a seat and his mouth covered with a handkerchief.
He struggled to loosen the grip on him but then a thud heavy knock was blown at his face and instantly he started to bleed from his mouth and nose.
I gasped struggling to breathe. What was going on? Who are these people and what did they want!
Just then, A rogue wolf leader steps forward, his gigantic height makes me gulp down heavily. On his face were scares, only given to leaders of packs. Especially rogue packs.
He began to explain that the blackout was a distraction caused to set their plans in motion. I still didn't get where this was heading and as I held onto Finn's hand, I silently prayed to be rescued out of this situation.
Just then, they started demanding students dump all their accessories and valuables into a large bucket that had been planted in the center. I sort of a way to escape but I noticed they had sealed the doors, thus making sure all the other exits are locked.
“There's a bucket next to you!” I advise you to dump your phones, accessories, and money inside it. Otherwise….” He sharpened his claw and smirked. “Otherwise you'll have yourself to blame for your life.” He barked.
Fear had embraced all the staff, committee members and even the students, and soon they started complying to the demands as no one wanted to lose their lives. I did the same out of fear of the unknown, same with Finn. Though he was adamant at first.
But at that moment, the triplets burst through the scene refusing to comply with the Rogue's demand.
They stood there, fierce and ready to kill just anyone who gets in their part.
“Sorry to disappoint you but, we don’t bow to strays.” Adrian coldly states.
Their leader immediately stood up, with an unread expression, a sharp blade at his side and he started to walk towards them.
“What did you say?” He asked.
“You heard him right, we don't bow to rid-rats.” Arnold jeered.
The rogue Alpha threatens to start killing students if they don't comply but the triplets are adamant about the whole thing.
“If you dare do that, you’ll regret it and have your life as a repayment.” Alexander barked.
At that moment, One of the rogues grabbed my arm. I could feel my heartbeat pause for a while, an ocean of tears threatening to stream down my face. My legs had turned numb, my lips sealed. My entire life came to a fault as I awaited what was going to happen next. Who would save me?!
“How about we make an example out of her.” The rogue laughed.
This triggered a growl from Adrian and soon the room became intense as the triplets’ swing into action. A huge fight erupts and from a far I could hear sirens blare outside. I was glad but at that moment I witnessed them kill an innocent werewolf.
My head began to spin again, this time I was coughing out blood. I held onto Finn and I could feel my chest tighten. I clutched my stomach, wailing in pain, Just then I felt my body leave the ground, it was Finn, he carried me in his arms.
Begging that I should please stay with him but it was too late. The pang had intensified and spread out on my body and I could barely hear anything happening around me. Just faint sounds echoing everywhere.
“Poison” I muttered with my last strength and I'm n
ot sure he heard it but slowly, I slipped out of consciousness.
