CHAPTER 11

ALICIA POV

I stood at the bus station for what seemed like forever, tired and exhausted from a really long day at school.

I checked my wristwatch and was stunned as to why the bus hadn't arrived yet. I look around and see other students waiting for the bus as well, I sigh, letting out an exhausted breath. I needed to talk to Alpha Richard about this, after all soon enough I'll be his stepdaughter and I needed comfort while going to school and coming back.

Luxury wasn't meant for the triplets alone, I murmur stretching my hand towards my back pocket. I pulled out some bucks from my purse and decided to take the local bus home.

Today, I'm too exhausted to walk home.

I got to the local bus station, boarded the bus and sat at a corner lost in thoughts.

I thought about how I had managed to escaped two major plots today, but how long could I keep doing so by chance? I don't even know when next I'll be attacked in just a threatening way again.

I had actually risked getting suspended all because of ‘Crazy Claudia’ and her stupid schemes and prank.

In as much as I was happy I had been vedicated and the actual culprit had been punished, u couldn't help but feel sad for her.

I mean indefinite suspension was a choice other than explosion but on the brighter side, there would be nobody to disrupt my peace of mind. The thought of that alone relieved me of tension but again It struck to my senses that I had been saved by someone's intervention.

Who on earth had a recording of what was going on? I thought to myself. I thought about possible options but none seemed to click.

It couldn't be Vanessa because I'm sure she wouldn't dare to stand against Claudia besides she wasn't even in the classroom when the incident was happening.

Could it perhaps be the triplets? I chuckled at the thought of them trying to help me. How could I even think that the same people that wanted to ruin my entire existence world even save me? I decided not to think about anything and just relax but just then, a speeding bus driving from an opposite direction and hit our bus off the lane, I'm not sure about what happened next but our bus started tumbling and I could hear people screaming and others crying as the driver had been injured seriously…

I started to feel dizzy and in the next few seconds I was on the floor, my vision became blurry and I could barely hear anything until I passed out.

“Are you sure you are fine Miss?” One of the firefighters that had come to our rescue asked.

“Yes, I'm fine and fit.” I nodded.

It was already getting darker and I didn't even know what part of the town I was at, the man sensing this offered to direct me and he actually put me on a taxi which carried me straight to my house.

On my way home I was literally panicking and anxious, I knew my mum would be sick worried about me. I checked on my phone but it was already dead and I silently prayed that I could get home Immediately.

The drive was short and restful and I got home ten minutes later, I thanked the taxi driver and head inside the mansion when I heard noises from inside.

“What do you mean by you don't know Alicia's where about? Don't you all attend the same school? Alpha Richard barked.

I could hear my mum's soft sobs as she paced around the room.

“Dad, we last saw her at school.” Adrian stated.

“Oh so you left your step- sister at school?” Alpha Richard yelled this time around.

In as much as I enjoyed that he was scolding the triplets I didn't have much strength to stand and watch the drama unfold so I walked into the living room and I watched as everyone diverted their gaze to me.

“My baby.” Mum exclaimed pulling me into her arms for a proper hug.

“Hi, good evening.” I murmured and Alpha Richard was relieved to see me.

He welcomed me in as well and asked that I go and get ready for dinner as they would be leaving tonight.

“Leaving?!” I drawled.

“Yes, tonight. Me and your mother. Don't worry she'll tell you more about it.” Alpha Richard remarked and I turned to my mother furious and angry. I left her and stormed out the sitting room and up into my room. As I climbed up the stairs I could feel the triplets gaze following my every move and for some unknown reason they seemed very excited.

My mom trailed behind me but I didn't care. How could she hide something like this from me?

“Licia calm down.” she stated.

“And why should I?” I snapped.

“Look I'm sorry you had to find out that way.” She said but I wasn't eager to hear whatever she had to say.

“Oh so you never intended for me to find out?” I roared.

“Not that, the Alpha…”

“Alpha what! You didn't even care to ask me a thing. Do you know how hard it is to cope here?! Now you want to leave. What difference does it even make anymore, you are just like the rest of them.” I spilled but the second those words spilled out of my mouth I regretted them

“Shut up! How dare you address me in such a matter?” She yelled on top of her voice.

“Everything I've ever done was to make you happy but unfortunately I have an ingrate as a daughter.” She spat and stomped towards the door paused for a while and turns to me. “Get ready for dinner.”

I was shut of words for the next few moments, I laid back on the bed minced from the pain I felt on my arm.

So much activities I had even forgotten I just got out from a bus accident. I took my bath in a swift, laid back and rested for a while before going to join them for dinner.

The first thing I talked about was the accident and everyone was shocked I didn't get injured then in requested for the Alpha to look into my transportation problem and he agreed almost immediately.

“Alicia, you can join the triplets to school everyday. I can inform the driver before we leave.” he suggested and I noticed the triplets grin about that.

“On second thought alpha, I would want a personal driver.” I say, nonchalant about whatever he response would be.

“Fine.” He said casually “Alex, make arrangements for Alicia's transportation welfare.” He added and I smiled satisfied.

We ate silently and I noticed my mum was still very much angry at me. I waited until dinner was over and went to her room to talk to her.

“Mum, I'm sorry about what happened earlier.” I sniffed, kneeling next to her.

“It's fine, I know I've not been the best mum either.” She sobbed and we both held each other sobbing for a long while.

I finally broke free from the hug and wiped off the tears from my face.

“When are you leaving mom?” I asked cos I noticed it was getting late already.

“Actually, right now.” She whispered and I laughed.

“When are you coming back?” I asked again, worried this time around.

“At the Alpha's command, it's actually a vacation. He said he wants us to spend more time together.” She squealed and I could see how excited she was about this.

I couldn't ruin her happiness by telling her all that has been going on in my life so I decided to keep it aside… we chatted for a while and I helped her get her bags ready for the trip ahead.

Alpha Richard was already waiting for us downstairs alongside the triplets.

Alpha Richard asked us to take care of eachother and he gave me an envelope.

“Inside that envelope there is a credit card with no limits, you can shop and enjoy yourself dear.” He explained and I almost screamed in excitement.

“Thank you Alpha, thank you mum.” I appreciated them. Finally I didn't have to save so much and have so little money on me. We walked them out of the house and into their luxurious car, I sobbed with my mum for a while before finally letting her go. Waving until the car zoomed out of the mansion.

I didn't bother talking to the triplets, I've got no words for them… but I was stopped on my track when Arnold mentioned they were having a party tonight at the mansion.

“Won't you like to join us, step bitch?” Adrian sneered.

“I'm not interested in your madness.” I shrugged, unconcerned
, but they stopped me in my track, all three of them, a devilish grin on their faces..

“We are not asking. It's a command.”
