Rosalina's Point of View

"He did what?" Jason asked angrily. I looked at him and could tell he was upset by his facial expression.

"He, um, told me he wanted to... You know," Nichole said. Deep down, I knew she was lying. I knew Kane never tried to fuck her. If he did, I was sure she would have let him without hesitation. I knew she wanted to make me upset at Kane.

"Kane has told me many times that he wanted to, you know, be intimate with me, but I told him that I was waiting for my mate," Jason said

"I can't believe he would do that. I am going to..."

"Please, Brother, don't say anything to him. He is Rosalina's mate, and just like you said, he most likely would never try anything like that again. I should never have brought this up. Sister, I am sorry. I hope you are not angry with Kane. I hope this doesn't come between us. I know you must feel bad knowing your mate had a thing for me. Please don't feel insecure. I am sure he will only have eyes for you, even though he has been with a lot of girls. I am sure you will be enough for him," Nichole said. I wanted to punch her in her face. I knew what she was doing.

"You don't have to worry, Nichole. Kane and I have already talked about his past with other females. He feels terrible about his past," I replied

"Really? Goddess, you are so understanding. If it were me, I would be upset that my mate didn't care about the mate bond. I mean, not everyone waits for their mate but he has been with a lot of women. I would be heartbroken if my mate did that. That my mate didn't care about me at all. He basically cheated on you," Nichole said.

"I don't see it as cheating on me. Kane didn't know me back then. I am not going to hold what he did in the past against him," I said

"But you are his mate," Nichole said

True, but Kane didn't know me back then, so it doesn't count as cheating," I said

"I think Lina is right. He didn't cheat on her because he didn't know her. You and I both know that mates don't cheat, Nichole," Jason said

"I guess. I was just worried about Rosalina," Nichole said. I just looked at her, knowing she was lying. After lunch, we headed to our next classes. I didn't have any classes with either Jason or Nichole. The rest of the school day went by slowly. I was so happy when the last bell rang and it was time to go home.

Kane was waiting for me at my locker when I got there. I was so happy that I ran over to him and hugged him. "Wow, someone missed me. I missed you, too," Kane said as he hugged me back. I felt a little embarrassed at my actions. I couldn't believe I ran and hugged him like that. "Don't be shy, Flower. I missed you even more than you missed me. I hated that I had to leave you at school today. I would have taken you home with me but I knew you wouldn't skip school," Kane said.

"So, what happened after I left?" Kane asked as he drove back to the packhouse.

"I ate lunch with Jason. He eats lunch in a different room and the food is so much better than the food in the lunch room. He said I can eat there now, too," I said

"That makes sense. You are the King and Queen's daughter," Kane replied

"It is still weird to me that my parents are royals," I said. It was still hard for me to believe that it was true. I felt like it was a joke, and at any time, someone with a camera would come out of hiding and tell me I had been punked.

"Well, it is true. You are a princess. You are my princess," Kane said as he placed his hand on mine. I looked at him to see that he had a smile on his face, and I couldn't help but smile as well. "So nothing happened at lunch? I am sure Nichole was there as well. She didn't try to upset you or anything?" Kane asked. I didn't want to bring up the things Nichole said. I knew she was making things up because she wanted to cause trouble between Kane and me .

"No, everything was fine," I replied

"That's good. There's something off about Nichole. She is used to being the center of attention. She was the King and Queen's only daughter for a long time. Now that you are around, I am worried she might try to cause trouble. I want you to be careful around her, okay?" Kane said

"Okay?" I replied

"There is still some work I have to get done," Kane said

"Okay, I am going to go to our room and do my homework. I think Kelly is going to meet me up there later," I said

"You are still going to dinner with Jason, right?" Kane asked

"Yes," I replied

"Okay, let me know when you leave. I should be done by the time you get back," Kane replied

"Okay," I replied.
