Ava's POV
A student raised his hand, which caused the attention of the principal, and he fully turned to him.
“Yes?”
“You mean the prince who came to visit the school is going to attend classes with us?” The guy asked, sounding stoked.
“Yes, he is going to attend this same school. As for the class, things will be sorted out. But we know that he is going to start going to this school.” The principal informed us generally.
“Wow. That's cool. He's actually the first royal member to attend this school. I wonder what got his attention to attend this school.” I overheard a guy behind me speak.
“I know, right? As for me, I feel lucky to be attending the same school as the Prince. Even though classes will be sorted out, I still am happy about this.” Another guy said excitedly.
I let out a deep sigh, and Jack held my hand, and I looked at him worriedly.
“Don’t worry too much about it.” He said to me in an assuring tone.
Yes, I didn't want to worry about it. But the Prince coming to this school was still a lot for me to think about. It's obvious he has a plan, and the fact that I know nothing about that plan is what's getting me worried and anxious. I'm hoping his plan doesn't take all that means a lot to me.
Even after we were dismissed, people were talking about it. It was certain that it wasn't everyone in school who attended the party, so even those who didn't attend heard from those who did.
“Now that the prince is going to be attending this school with us, I'm sure a lot of people are excited while some might feel neutral about it. I feel neutral about it, though.” Jack said as we took a walk to the field before it would be time for class.
“Well, I don't feel good about it. I feel uneasy, rather.”
“I know, right? But let's hope that his coming isn't going to make things stressful and unbearable.” Jack said with a smile.
I also hope that it is going to go just the way he wants it for me.
“So, you're certain that the prince is really going to come to our school and it's not a bluff, right?” I heard a guy speak as we passed by them.
“Man, you should know that our school does all things but bluff. As you can recall, he even came for a visit. So, it's possible that he saw so many things he liked in this school and decided to start attending.”
“Hmm. You're right. Everything makes sense to me. But if he starts attending this school, I wonder what modifications will be done because I'm certain that they would want to make things different just for him.”
“Yeah, you're right. I'm hoping that whatever change they'll be making on behalf of the Prince, it's going to be something that we can live with and possibly enjoy.” The first student uttered.
I let out a sigh as Jack and I made our stand in the middle of the field, and I folded my arms.
“Cheer up, Ava. I don't want you thinking about this too much. It's not good for your health. Besides, you might be worrying for nothing. Him attending this school might not affect you negatively at the end of the long run. Just wait until that time, okay? Let's head back to class. It's almost time.” He urged me, and I nodded.
He was right about not worrying too much. Prince Asher, who has made up his mind to attend this school, might not be thinking of me right now, and here I am, thinking about him every second. I'm being more affected than him, who needs me to ascend the throne and have the right heir.
Jack and I went back to class, and we settled down, waiting for the professor to come in. As soon as he walked in, we all brought out our writing materials and started writing and noting down all that he was teaching us until another professor interrupted us.
The professor walked in and whispered some things to the professor teaching us, and I wondered what they were discussing. Ever since it has just been mentioned that Prince Asher will be coming to the school, things have just seemed weird and something to be worried about.
After the professors were done talking, the one who interrupted us moved closer.
“So, guys. There's going to be a new change from henceforth.”
“Here we go.” I said under my breath, expecting things like this.
“Now, we all know that this is the Elites Class, and this class is where we get more of our brilliant students, and here, we can also find students with the overall qualities we need in several times. So, since Prince Asher will be attending our school, we'll be selecting a few students who will be his classmates. I have a list here with me, so when you hear your name, just know that you are Pince Asher's classmate.” The professor announced to us.
We all began to murmur as we weren't expecting that this was going to be the first modification and that it was going to be in this way.
“Also, don't get me wrong. We aren't just randomly selecting students. We are selecting students who have excellent grades, so for those who are very much interested in being classmates with the Prince and don't get to be one of them, you'll know that it isn't something done unfairly. It's how good you've been in your grades.” The professor corrected, especially because of those who would start thinking wrong, like me.
“Well, do you think you're going to be among them? Because now we can't tell if the prince intentionally schemed this, or it's your grades that will be moving you closer to him.” Jack uttered and I sighed deeply.Chapter 60
