Chapter 133 Chapter 45.1

Chapter 133 Chapter 45.1
I couldn't help but get emotional as I looked at him. He was so handsome. What was he doing? Was this his way of apologizing to me? Was he still not going to tell me what he was hiding?
I remained where I was standing, so he was the one who stepped down from the mini stage and walked toward me. He was still smiling. His hair was neatly styled too. Why did he look so handsome in my eyes right now? Was it because I was pregnant?
“Love, I’m sorry if I made you angry. You don't know how hard it was for me to stop myself from coming to your office just so I could carry out all my plans. I’m really sorry, love. I never wanted you to be angry with me. I just wanted to make my plan properly without you knowing about it,” he said. Tears were already forming in my eyes, making my vision blurry.
“What are you hiding? What is it that you aren't telling me? Do you think everything will be okay between us just because you apologized to me and surprised me?” I said, still annoyed.
He held my hand and we walked toward the mini stage. He faced me again and handed me the bouquet he was holding.
“Don't you get it yet, love? Don't you know why I've been leaving my office?” My brows furrowed. Why did he keep making me wait? Why couldn't he just tell me the truth?
“What is it? Don't add to my irritation and anger toward you anymore. I didn't eat breakfast, and you didn't even bring me anything to eat at my office. I'm still extremely annoyed with you,” I said, and he let out a small laugh, which only made me even more annoyed. It was as if he was laughing at me, there was nothing funny about this.
“Love, this is the reason why I've always been away from my office. This is the reason why you were angry with me. I couldn't tell you because how could I surprise you if you already knew, right? I wanted to make my surprise for you properly. Don't you remember what's special about today?” He asked, making me think about what was special about today.
I looked at him and shook my head because I couldn't remember anything. He smiled slightly.
“It's our wedding anniversary today. This is the first time we're celebrating it together, so I really planned everything carefully,” he answered. I couldn't respond. So this was why he chose to sleep alone in the guest room, this was why he chose to let me get angry and annoyed with him just so he wouldn't have to tell me about his plan.
We never celebrated our wedding anniversary because we separated before we even reached our first year together back then, so I couldn't remember it anymore.
“I’m really sorry, love. You don't know how badly I wanted to talk to you and go to your office. I just talked to Anna when I saw her coming out, but she said you had already asked her to buy you some food. Love, our relationship didn't have a good beginning. I married you because I had to, because I had a responsibility toward you. Our parents forced us to marry each other,” he continued with his speech.
I just listened to him because I felt like I would cry even more if I said anything.
“I won't let myself lose you again. I stayed away from the company all day earlier because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to hold myself back. I might have ended up telling you my plan just to make you stop being angry with me. I spent the whole night and the whole day forcing myself not to be beside you, be with you, and see you. Time passed so slowly because I wanted to see you, talk to you, and make things right between us again. I couldn't sleep all night because I wanted to sleep beside you and Daryl, but I knew you would only push me away. I wanted to chase after you this morning and force you to eat, but I was afraid you would only get even angrier at me. As the time got closer earlier, I became even more nervous. I practiced what I was going to say to you earlier, but it felt like my mind suddenly went blank.” He let out another small laugh, making me laugh too as my tears continued to fall.
He wiped my tears with his thumb before smiling at me.
“You don't know how much I love you and how lucky I am that you came into my life. I won't waste the chance you gave me to be with you and our child. Heaven Rosales,” even his voice broke as he said my name. I could also feel his hands trembling as he held one of mine.
My lips parted when he suddenly knelt in front of me and pulled something from the pocket of his suit.
“Heaven Rosales Velasquez, will you be my wife again?” He said the words that made my heart melt. I could hear our families and friends cheering around us. More tears fell from my eyes because I never thought he would do this for me.
I had never experienced a proposal before, but here he was, making sure that I would experience it all. I quickly wiped my tears and took a deep breath so I could finally answer him.
“Yes, of course, even if you ask me to marry you countless times, my answer will always be the same. I’m ready to marry you again, Desmond,” I answered, making him smile. I even laughed because his hands were trembling as he took the ring from the box and slowly slipped it onto my finger.
He quickly hugged me after putting the ring on my finger. I buried my face in his neck. I thought he no longer cared about me. I thought he had really let me stay angry with him.
“I love you so much, Heaven,” he said emotionally, because he was already crying too in this dramatic night.
He finally loosened his embrace, so we faced each other again.
“Do you mean we're going to have our wedding all over again?” I asked him.
“Yes, this time, I want both of us to be happy about marrying each other. We only need to have the ceremony because we've already signed our marriage contract,” he answered. I could only smile at him.
I could hear our families happily cheering around us. He kissed me afterward, and I felt his kiss against my lips. All the anger I had toward him seemed to disappear like a bubble that suddenly popped.
“I also have something to tell you,” I said, making the entire place fall silent. Everyone seemed curious about what I was about to say.
“I’m pregnant,” I answered, surprising him.
“Yes! Second baby!” I heard Daddy Romulo shout. Our family started cheering loudly because of the wonderful news.
“Really? I’m going to be a daddy again?” Desmond asked excitedly, making me nod.
“Yes! Thank you, Lord! Thank you so much!” He shouted loudly before hugging me again. He was even jumping while holding me in his arms.
“I’m going to be a daddy again!” He shouted as we turned toward our family, who were also overjoyed for us.
