Jay’s POV
“Piper!” I rushed to open the bathroom door, hoping she was okay. My mind instantly went blank and my heart beat faster. I hoped nothing bad had happened to her.
I saw her lying in the bathtub with the warm water faucet still running and flooding the bathroom floor. Her head was lying on a pile of towels and her long hair was loose.
I hurriedly turned off the water faucet, picked up the towel on the table beside the bathtub, got into the bathtub, lifted her body out of the bathtub, and covered her with the towel.
I carried her body out of the bathroom and laid her down on the bed. The towel was still covering her body.
I sat beside her as I patted her face several times, trying to wake her up.
“Piper, Piper, are you okay?” I asked worriedly.
She was breathing, but her eyes were closed.
“Piper, Piper.” I kept calling her name.
Not long after, her body moved, her eyes opened. Once her eyes were wide open, she looked directly at me. We looked at each other and for a split second, our bodies seemed to freeze and time stood still.
Then, a few minutes later, Piper woke up, moved away from me, and yelled.
“Sir, w-what are you doing to me? Are we? Please tell me that this didn’t really happen,” she asked as she looked down at her partially towel-covered body.
“Sst don’t yell. I did nothing to you. You passed out in the bathtub. Look at the floor in front of the bathroom door. The floor is wet because you turned on the bathtub faucet but didn’t turn it off. So, please don’t misunderstand,” I replied as I stood up and pointed to the wet floor.
“Then, what did you come in here for?” she asked, looking suspiciously at me.
“I came in here to drop off sleepwear, socks, and sweaters for you. I knocked on your bedroom door many times but there was no answer from inside, so I came in here. Sorry. Please don’t misunderstand,” I replied as I walked towards the door of the room because I thought I’d better hurry out of there.
“How could I not misunderstand? I woke up on a bed half-naked with only a towel covering my body. Who knew you did something to me earlier? It’s just the two of us in this room,” she said.
I was wrong and stupid. I should have called Lily to lift Piper’s body out of the bathroom so she wouldn’t misunderstand me.
“Ok, I was wrong, and I accidentally saw your body because I was panicking, so I acted spontaneously. All I had in mind was that I had to lift your body out of the bathtub quickly, otherwise, you would have drowned. Please forgive me. Anyway, what I shouldn’t have seen, I have seen, and what I shouldn’t have touched, I have touched. I-I,” I replied.
“What? You mean you touched me? You took the opportunity, sir. I didn’t think you would do that,” she said in a lofty tone of voice. It seemed like she was angry and this misunderstanding was getting longer.
I didn’t know what was going through my mind at that moment, but I suddenly crawled onto the bed and approached her. The look on her face and the look in her eyes showed fear and surprise. She was clinging to the end of the towel that was covering her body, even if only partially.
“What are you trying to do? Please don’t act stupidly. Don’t touch me and let’s forget about this incident and move on with our lives. Please?” she asked in a hoarse voice. I was sure she was going to cry soon.
“I have explained to you, but you didn’t believe me. So, I’m going to do something to you,” I replied as I pulled her legs toward me so that she was lying down, then pulled her hands above her head and prepared to untie the towel covering her sizable breasts.
I must admit I was so tempted by the thought of the beautiful body beneath the towel that I swallowed a few times and felt my lower body stiffen. I didn’t know what came over me, but her half-naked body exposed to the moonlight in the middle of the night looked even sexier.
Shit!
“Please, sir. Don’t. Please don’t,” she pleaded with a pained look on her face.
I brought my face close to her ear, then looked at her beautiful neck and breasts. She smelled of roses, probably from the soap she had poured into the bathtub. She kept begging me to let go of her hand.
“Didn’t I just say that this was all a misunderstanding, but you don’t want to understand and keep blaming me? Do you want me to touch you? Tell me honestly,” I asked, while whispering in her ear.
“No, please no! I’m sorry. Please let go of my hand,” she pleaded with teary eyes.
“I won’t let go until you answer me,” I retorted.
“Don’t touch me, sir. Please get out of here,” she replied.
Suddenly, however, the bedroom door opened and Jessie stood in the doorway with a shocked look on her face.
“Dad, what are you doing with Piper?” she asked.
Lily came over to Jessie, and with a shocked look on her face, while covering her mouth, she yelled, “Oh my God, Sir. What is this? Did I see something wrong?”
“Lily, close the door and take Jessie to her room. It’s not what you think,” I replied.
“Jessie goes to your room now. I’ll explain to you later,” I said. Jessie looked confused and curious. Her eyes kept looking at us.
“Lily, what are you waiting for? Close the door quickly,” I said.
Lily hurriedly grabbed the door handle and closed the door with lightning speed. Once the door was closed, I let go of Piper’s hand and got off the bed.
“Sorry, please don’t listen to what I said earlier. I’m getting out of here, but can you explain to me what exactly happened to you earlier?” I asked.
“I’m fine, sir. Thank you for worrying about me. Please get out of here and I’m sorry I blamed you,” she replied. This time, her voice was softer and calmer.
I couldn’t look at her anymore. I had to look the other way. “If you are in pain, please tell me. Don’t hold back your pain or it will get worse.”
“I know, thank you,” she replied.
After leaving the guest room, I knocked on Jessie’s door. Not long after, she let me in. I pressed the doorknob and pushed the door inward. I saw her sitting on her bed reading a book. After she saw me enter, she asked, “What were you guys doing earlier? Why did Piper not put on her clothes?”
I sat across from her, looking at her cute face. She put the book she was reading on the table and returned my gaze. “Why did you keep quiet? Do you like Piper? But you already have my mom. You shouldn’t like Piper.”
