Maisie's POV

My face was still hidden in Alexander's neck. His head leaned against the headboard of the bed. Our bodies trembled softly, our breaths quickening, but satisfaction was clearly evident on both our faces.

I loosened my embrace first, looking at Alexander attentively. “Does your surgery scar hurt or not?”

Alexander brushed my damp hair from sweat away from his forehead and shook his head.

A sweet smile appeared on my swollen lips from our earlier activities. “So it’s true what the article said, this position doesn’t use much abdominal muscle.”

One of Alexander's eyebrows raised. “You’re serious about reading articles?”

I nodded firmly. “Yes. I don’t want anything to happen to you just because of this. What if the doctor asks during the check-up, ‘Why does the scar look like this? What have you been doing?’ What would you answer?”

“I’d say, ‘I was doing heavy and intense exercise,’” Alexander teased with a slight smile.

I shot him a sharp glance, then huffed softly. “No way. I’ll play it safe.”

Alexander chuckled quietly, his hand still gently caressing my cheek. “Next time, don’t stress yourself out, okay? Just say if you want something. I’m your husband, Maisie. It’s my job to fulfill all your needs, including biological ones.”

My cheeks flushed from Alexander's words. “Are you really okay with it?”

“Yes. Better than you looking anxious all day just because of this.” Alexander laughed again while shaking his head, then playfully pinched my nose.

Little did Alexander know that it only took a few hours for me to take him up on his offer.

At midnight, around two in the morning, I woke Alexander. Not by calling his name or gently shaking his shoulder, but by sitting on his hips and kissing his cheeks, jaw, and neck.

Alexander groaned softly, realizing my weight on him. Unconsciously, his hands gripped my hips.

“Maisie?” His voice was hoarse, his eyelids slowly opening.

I didn’t answer; my hands were busy unbuttoning Alexander's pajamas while my lips traced along his neck, shoulder, and down to his chest.

Alexander's eyelids finally opened wide when my teeth grazed his skin. His fingers intertwined with my hair, tilting my head back to meet his gaze.

“Do you want it again?” Alexander asked, still half-asleep.

I nodded. “They said the woman-on-top position is also safe.”

A raspy laugh escaped Alexander. “How many more safe positions are there?”

“One more. It’s called spooning, from the side.” I looked at Alexander with heavy eyelids from desire.

A grin spread across Alexander’s lips. His hand moved down my hair to caress my cheek, resting on my neck.

“So which one do we want to try first now?” Alexander asked, starting to get aroused.

“Woman on top.” I answered without hesitation.

Alexander’s eyes darkened instantly. “Okay.”

He adjusted his position, moving slightly to make space. His eyes never left my glowing face, full of anticipation.

“Ready?” he asked, his voice deep and enticing.

I nodded, feeling my heart race. Gently, I shifted into the desired position. Our connection intensified as I felt his warmth enveloping me.

“You can relax more,” Alexander whispered, his voice soothing. He smiled, highlighting the softness of the tension present.

I took a deep breath, allowing the tension to flow away. As I began to move, confidence surged within me. Alexander followed my lead, our movements becoming one, as if we were dancing to the same rhythm.

“This… is amazing,” I said, unable to hide the wide smile on my face. Alexander merely nodded, his eyes filled with desire and warmth.

This intimacy brought us closer, and it felt as if the world outside faded away. There was only us, amidst the pounding hearts and quickening breaths.

The wedding day of Bela's sister

At three in the afternoon, Alexander and I arrived at the venue. We held hands as we entered, bright smiles adorning both our faces.

How could it not? The last three days we played every day. I tried all the safe positions for Alexander’s surgery scar. But I still preferred one position, which was woman on top.

I loved seeing Alexander's face contort with pleasure beneath me. I also enjoyed controlling the rhythm of our play at will, but we could still both be satisfied in the end.

So it was no wonder that today our faces shone as bright as the Sunday morning sun.

“Wow, your aura matches the bride, huh?” Randi, who was also present today, teased the age-different couple.

I laughed softly while Alexander simply smiled faintly.

“When are you following suit?” Alexander asked casually.

Randi rolled her eyes lazily. “That’s what people have been asking since earlier. There will be a time for that.”

“Of course, you’re already in your thirties.” Alexander replied flatly.

“The problem is, I don’t know the answer to that question either, Uncle.” Randi sighed in resignation.

Their conversation was interrupted when someone approached me. It was Bela.

“Hey, did you just arrive?” she greeted warmly with a sweet smile. She shook hands with Alexander and me in turn, avoiding the usual cheek kisses this time.

I was grateful; it seemed Bela was really listening to her warnings.

“Yes, just arrived.” I replied.

“Maisie, come with me for a moment, okay? I forgot there’s something that needs fixing on your dress.” Bela gently touched my arm.

I frowned, my expression wary. “What needs fixing?”

Bela leaned in closer, whispering in my ear. “The zipper on the back of your dress needs to be sewn a bit to make it secure. You wouldn’t want your dress to suddenly open in a public place like this, would you?”

I swallowed hard, feeling panic wash over me. Indeed, the zipper of this dress felt a bit loose, and the thought of it opening in the middle of a crowd sent chills down my spine.

"Okay," I replied, trying not to show my overwhelming anxiety. Not far from there, Alexander stole a glance, seemingly wanting to ensure everything was alright.

Bela nodded, her face bright. "Come on, quickly! Let's find a quieter place."

After apologizing to Alexander, we headed toward a corner of the room that was more secluded. Bela began pulling sewing supplies from her bag—thread and a small needle. "Lucky I brought this," she said with a wide smile. "We can fix it quickly."

As Bela worked, I tried to relax, but seconds passed and my heart was still racing. This moment felt strange; it resembled the scenes of women in movies helping each other in a tight situation, but I never imagined this would happen to me.
