Just minutes after the photo was posted by the media, the news went viral and became the talk of the town. She, who had been receiving negative comments from the start, was now under fire from public opinion.

“I suspected it from the beginning—there’s no way a beautiful girl like her could genuinely love a man twice her age.”

“I heard the Salim Group is facing some trouble. Maybe she married Mr. Thompson to take advantage of him.”

“After all, she’s still young and beautiful. It’s only natural that she’d want a man her own age.”

Logan clenched his fists after reading some of the comments posted there. His jaw tightened, his face flushed, and the veins in his neck stood out clearly. He was angry not because Harper was hugging another man, but because she was receiving so many derogatory comments. He didn’t like it when the woman he loved was insulted.

“Sir, don’t jump to conclusions. That’s Sean; he’s Mrs. Harper’s cousin.” Robin tried to explain before Logan misunderstood further. He didn’t want Logan’s opinion of her to change just because of that trashy gossip.

Logan let out a harsh sigh. He knew without being told. He knew every member of the Salim family. He knew everything about Harper and her past. That was why he felt even more pity for her. That pity built up until it turned into love.

“Find out who’s behind that news. Tell the media to immediately take down all the stories that have spread before I step in," Logan said firmly.

“Yes, sir.” Robin and Christian understood. They quickly set about doing what Logan asked. Before the story got any wilder, they had to eliminate the source of the news.

The phone on Logan’s desk rang. The call was from an unknown number. Logan frowned. It was his personal phone, not his work phone. Who was calling him? If the number wasn’t saved in his phone, that meant the person wasn’t important in his life.

However, he still answered the call.

“Uncle, you’ve seen the news, right?” Those words greeted him immediately after Logan answered the call.

Logan’s brow furrowed. “Yvonnie?” He guessed hesitantly. How did that woman get his number?

“Look at your beloved wife, Uncle. You’re busy working, while she’s busy being pampered by a younger man.” Yvonnie began to provoke him.

“Just tell me what you want,” Logan asked sharply. He knew Yvonnie well; she was surely planning something bigger.

“Uncle, you’ve misunderstood me. I don’t want anything; I just want you to see for yourself what kind of person the wife you love so much really is—the one you kicked Ethan out just for her sake. She doesn’t even value your feelings at all.” Yvonnie continued to provoke him.

“I’m giving you one last chance—what do you want?” Logan’s tone grew even sharper.

“Fine, since you’re forcing me. Let’s meet to discuss this. Bring the 100 million Ethan asked for earlier. You must come alone. I’ll take down the post after that.”

Logan smiled cynically. “You think it’s hard for me to take down that trashy news story? You can check right now—it’s definitely already been buried.” He spoke with complete confidence. Of course, no one worked faster than Christian.

Yvonnie laughed at that remark. There’s no way the news could disappear that quickly. She had paid numerous media companies to publish her scandal.

“You’re making a huge mistake if you think you can threaten me. A little pebble like you, I could eliminate if I wanted to. I’m still sparing you because Ethan really likes you. Don’t be so oblivious that you force me to take drastic measures to finish you off.” This time, Logan issued a threat. He never joked about what he said.

“Uncle, I have other photos that will definitely become a hot news story if I hand them over to the media. I have plenty of photos and videos of Harper naked while having sex with Ethan. If I spread these photos and videos, I’m absolutely certain Harper’s future will be ruined. Her reputation will be destroyed, and her self-respect will be gone. Millions of people will be able to see every inch of her body. I’m not messing around.” Yvonnie spoke with such a convincing tone.

Logan clenched the phone in his hand. He looked so furious he couldn’t even speak.

If Yvonnie really does have those photos and videos, it would pose a huge threat to Harper’s future.

“Well, Uncle? I’ve been kind enough not to release them yet. I’m only asking for 100 million—is Harper’s reputation worth less than the amount I’m asking for? Yvonnie’s tone began to sound threatening.

Logan’s sigh sounded so heavy. If he gave her that 100 million, then he would have lost to Yvonnie. Yvonnie would get a big head, and she might just plan further threats. However, if he didn’t comply with what the girl said, he couldn’t bear the enormous risk of Harper’s compromising photos being leaked.

Harper had once shared a room with Ethan; Logan couldn’t deny that Ethan and Harper had slept together multiple times. When he slept with Harper back then, he knew he wasn’t the first. So, it was possible that what Yvonnie said was indeed true.

“Alright, I’ll come with the 100 million. Send me the location right now.” In the end, he had no choice but to give in.
