Chapter 73 073
Chapter 73 073
"Leo?" Just as Luke was going to drag Leo forward with excitement, a lovely voice sounded from behind them.
Mona’s face instantly fell. Sydney came out of nowhere. Her smile froze when she saw Leo and Mona walking with their kids.
"You..." She was almost to cry as she looked at Leo and Luke’s hands. Luke felt upset when he saw Sydney at the villa's gate last time. He shook off Leo and ran to Mona right away.
"I just happened to be working close by and saw you..." Sydney held Leo’s hand in a very close way as she pointed at Luke and Rue. "I heard that Miss Granger had two kids in secret when she was living abroad. Are they the twins?”
Mona held Luke and Rue’s hands and watched Sydney with great interest. How could Sydney not know what the Hunt Family knew?
"Are those your kids?" Sydney’s eyes grew wide in shock. "Have you taken a paternity test? Are you sure...” Sydney gave Mona a regretful look. "I didn't want to mistrust Miss Granger, but you know that two kids just showed up out of nowhere. You need to be careful.”
Mona grinned. "Of course, they're not Leo’s kids."
"Why did you lie to Leo if not?" Sydney asked nervously before Mona could continue what she was saying.
"Sydney." Leo brutally cut Sydney off. "I'm sure."
Mona smiled and stated while holding the kids in her hand, "The kids are mine.”
Luke and Rue that Sydney was angry with them, so they immediately pulled Mona and said, "Mom, let's go. We should not call him "Dad."
"What are you talking about?"
When Leo yelled at them, the trust that the two kids had worked hard to build up in him was gone. Luke and Rue hid behind Mona without meaning to.
Sydney, on the other hand, smiled softly. "I'm sorry. Your dad didn't mean to yell at you. Okay, I'll take you to play together.”
Luke and Rue gazed at each other, turned their heads aside, and ignored her. "We don't want to play with you."
Sydney was so hurt that her eyes turned red and tears sprang to her eyes. "What did I do wrong?"she asked.
When they saw Sydney crying, they freaked out. Mona’s face immediately became dark. She walked in between Sydney and the two kids and gave her a harsh look. "I don't care what you usually do with the tricks, but don't use them on my kids." After that, she spoke softly to Luke and Rue to calm them.
Sydney still wanted to say something, but she stopped crying when she noticed that Leo didn't look good.
"I was just..." Sydney bit her lip and attempted to explain, but Leo cut her off. "Don't waste your time on the kids.“
Sydney stopped moving. Did Leo think she was too sneaky? Leo had already moved on by the time Sydney was ready to defend herself again.
Sydney had to work hard to catch up with him. How could she give up so quickly? She clenched her teeth and followed them right away.
Rue said to Mona in a low voice, "I don't like that auntie."
Mona ran her fingers through her hair and added, "I know. Let's play."
When Luke realized that Rue was upset, he quickly remarked, "I want to go bungee jumping. Mom, please wait for us downstairs.”
Then, Luke gazed at Leo behind him in a way that made him want to fight. "Uncle, do you still have time to go bungee jumping with me?"
It was clear that Luke was trying to get him angry. Leo looked at him quietly and murmured, "Let's go."
"I'll go with you! Leo, I want to go bungee jumping with you," Sydney said quickly.
Mona swiftly told Luke to stop. "Are you sure you want to play this?
"I want to play." Luke said.
Then, while Mona watched, he said quietly, "By the way, don’t scare him." Mona had to chuckle. She put her hand on Luke’s head and murmured, "He started parachuting when he was eighteen." The bungee jump...
Luke blew up his cheeks and said. "Okay, but I still want to play."
Mona didn't say anything else because he truly wanted to play. She touched his head and murmured, "You can go now."
Leo went over to Luke and shook his hand. "Let's go."
Luke flung Leo’s hand away from his. "I don't need you to hold my hand. I'm five years old now.”
Luke then went upstairs afterward.
Sydney thought about it for a second before hastily stepping forward to take Leo’s hand.
Leo didn't push her away after a moment of doubt. Luke got even enraged when he saw this.
Sydney finally sensed the height of the bungee leap as they went higher. She tightened her grip on Leo.
Luke was still a kid, therefore he had to learn how to bungee jump with the coach. Luke said, "I'm a man. In the future, I'll keep my mother and sister safe. I won't be scared.”
He then told the coach to put on his seat belt. Sydney hugged Leo to the side. "Leo, you have to keep me safe!"
Leo grumbled to show he agreed. He took hold of her arm. "You can go if you don't want to jump."
Sydney really did want to leave, but when she thought of Mona and her kid watching from below, she quickly bit her lip and exclaimed, "I'm here to join you, and I'll never give up so easily. This shows that I adore you, Leo. I'll still love you even if you have two kids."
