Chapter 67 067

Chapter 67 067
"Mr. Cox, these are Miss Granger's medical records from abroad." Nate put a piece of paper in front of Leo at the Cox Group's CEO office.

Leo read the diagnosis carefully: hard work, bleeding, shock... Those words made him feel bad. He had no idea that Mona was going through unspeakable anguish while giving birth to two kids. All of a sudden he became angry. Why did Mona have twins without his permission? What did she think about him? She was really close to dying.

"Tell them to get two kids' rooms ready." He whispered to Nate with a frown.

Nate nodded, but he was in a tough spot before he left. "Where is the room for the kids? If Miss Harlow learned that Miss Granger had kids...”

Leo scowled and was quiet for a bit. "Put it in Grandpa’s house first. Tell Grandpa the truth if he asks.”

The secretary knocked on the door and came in while they were conversing. "Mr. Cox, Miss Granger is here."

Leo squinted his eyes in a risky way. "Let her in."

Mona took a big breath, opened the door, and stared at Leo. In the past when they were still married, she often brought excellent food, but sadly, Leo never ate it.

Mona inhaled the air and the smell from before was gone. Leo instantly remembered something when he saw what she was doing and asked, "Did you buy all the incense in my office before?"

The secretary looked for a long time after you went, but she couldn't discover the same smell. Mona said in a casual tone, "Really? I forgot." She had specifically asked the doctor and the master of incense to do it. “It could help you relax, and get your strength back.”

Leo didn't know this. He squinted a little. Mona had always placed his needs first without fail. But now she always acted like she didn't care, like she didn't want anything to do with him.

He looked awful when he thought about this. They both went to the reception room.

She got right to the point and declared, "I will never let you have the kids." She had put her life on the line to bring her kids into the world, and they were like little angels. She would never let them go.

Leo got more and more nervous as he looked at her , who was pointing at him like a hedgehog. So he approached carefully to her side and stared down at her. "Do you think you still have a choice now?"

Her body went stiff. They looked at each other and both knew that the other was set on winning. The mood in the modest living room changed all of a sudden.

"I want to publicly announce the two kids." He took out a cigarette and held it in his hand without lighting it.

Mona didn't think he would do that. "Not possible."

Leo smiled. "Do you really think I'm talking to you about this, Mona?" He threw the cigarette back on the table and stated, "You should know that it won't take much effort for me to take the kids away."

She didn't look happy and added, "Leo, don't forget that you have a fiancée now. What will happen to your fiancée if everyone knows who the kids are? Sydney had never been nice. Who knew if she would hurt the kids?”

Leo frowned. Mona instantly said, "You and Sydney will have kids eventually. Why not...” she was interrupted by the sound of her phone ringing.

Grandpa's voice came through the phone. "Mona, you told me both of the kids were Conan’s kids, right? How could they...”

"I'm sorry, Grandpa. I told you a lie.“ Mona said.

Grandpa didn't say anything on the other end of the line for a long time. "Bring the kids back and meet me!"

She had no choice but to agree.

Leo inquired eagerly when he saw how vulnerable she looked.

"You..."I'll make sure the kids see Grandpa on time." Mona made a choice right after she hung up the phone. "You should also know that it's easy for me to hide with the kids."

Leo didn't expect her to say that, therefore he didn't care what she said. "Mona , how dare you!"

She made a face. "Of course I dare. I mean, I'm not scared of anything.”

Leo was quite angry. He grasped her wrist and looked at her. "Have I been too easy on you lately, making you think you can threaten me?"

She could almost feel his breath because they were so close. She had a hard time adjusting because Leo was so upset. Mona turned her head away in shock and anger. "Leo, we're not married anymore.”

Sydney abruptly threw open the door to the office and came in angry. "Mona, is this how the CEO of the Zenith Group talks about work?" she yelled, pointing at Mona.

Mona took advantage of this chance to get away from Leo and stand by the entrance. She scoffed at Sydney. "You don't have the right to question me. You did something even worse back then.”

Sydney opened her eyes wide. She was about to curse, but Leo stopped her with a look. "What are you doing here?" He frowned and inquired.

Sydney stopped. She had heard that Mona had come to Cox Group, so she raced over right away. She witnessed something like that by accident.

"I just want to hang out with you more before I start filming." Sydney said playfully, "We won't be able to see each other for a while."

When Leo peeked at the door again, Mona had already gone.

Mona left Cox Group looking sad. A man abruptly ran into her at this point. She instantly took the man's hand and held the phone in it. "It looks like you're not very good at stealing."

“Be careful!" A woman's voice immediately rang forth. The man pulled out a knife from nowhere and stabbed in Mona’s direction, but a woman was able to stop him.

"Are you okay?"
