Chapter 104: Not Pregnant?

Vanessa froze, staring at the blood dripping down, her face turning pale, "Ah, it hurts so much..."

Eliana was stunned and quickly instructed a colleague to call an ambulance.

In a flurry, they rushed Vanessa into the ambulance, and Eliana followed them to the hospital.

Upon arrival, Camille showed up just as Vanessa was being examined, and she wouldn't let anyone enter with her.

Eliana found it odd; she seemed to recall that Vanessa's menstrual cycle was around this time, wasn't it?

Could it be that she wasn't pregnant at all?

After a while, Vanessa, who had finished her examination, was taken to a ward, refusing to see anyone.

Eliana stayed behind, wanting to get to the bottom of things.

But from the doctor, she learned that Vanessa was indeed pregnant and needed to rest.

At that moment, Jeremy rushed in, reeking of strong perfume, his hair disheveled, clearly just out from a club.

As soon as Vanessa saw him, she burst into tears, "Jimmy, Eliana is so cruel. She was jealous that I was carrying your child and deliberately tried to harm me..."

Jeremy frowned, a hint of impatience on his face, "How's the baby?"

Vanessa was taken aback by his attitude, shocked that he didn't care about her at all in this situation, only thinking about the baby.

Camille quickly explained, "The baby is fine, but Vanessa has been frightened and needs to rest. If you have time, stay with her more. After all, pregnant women need care."

Jeremy didn't say anything, only relaxing a bit when he heard "the baby is fine."

"Good, let the doctor prescribe more supplements to take back," he said.

Hearing his concern, Vanessa's expression eased a bit, "Jimmy, are you really not going to do anything about that wicked woman who wants to harm our child?"

Eliana, with her hands on her hips, snorted coldly, "If you knew you were pregnant, you should have taken better care of yourself. You were the one provoking me. What does it have to do with me?"

"How is it not related? You were the one who first sprayed me with smoke," Vanessa said indignantly.

Jeremy held her shoulder, warning, "Didn't I tell you to rest well? Don't get too excited. It's good that both you and the baby are fine now."

"Jimmy!" Vanessa became agitated.

She couldn't accept this!

It was Eliana who started the trouble; why should she be the one to swallow her pride?

This kind of man was not what she wanted at all!

Seeing there was no need to stay, Eliana walked to the door and closed it for them, "You can argue slowly, don't disturb the rest of the people in the ward."

Vanessa had wanted to take this opportunity to settle scores with her, but seeing Eliana leave unharmed, she felt wronged and started crying.

After Eliana left, Jeremy also began to show his impatience, "I said, give birth to the baby, and you'll get everything you deserve. If you insist on making trouble, fine. I don't care, there are countless women who want to have my child."

He stood up, his tall figure full of oppressive presence.

Vanessa was stunned, thinking she still had to depend on him, so she endured her grievances and coaxed, "Jimmy, I was wrong, don't be angry, no matter how my sister bullies me in the future, I won't argue with her, please don't be angry with me, okay?"

Jeremy took a deep breath, not wanting to argue with her for the time being, after all, she was carrying the leverage for his fight for the Wilkinson Group's inheritance.

He said in a gentle voice, "I'm also for your own good, I don't want you to get angry, you have to understand."

Vanessa nodded, pretending to be sensible as she leaned on Jeremy's shoulder, her eyes full of anger, she could only endure it for now, how could she be willing to let go of the man she had fought so hard for?

After a while, once she gave birth to Jeremy's child, she would be able to take the position of Mrs. Wilkinson.

"Okay, I'll listen to you. You've been busy at the company recently and haven't come back to me for a long time. Why don't you accompany me tonight?"

Jeremy hesitated, silent.

After a while, he said, "I have business to discuss tonight, I'll have lunch with you tomorrow."

"Thank you, Jimmy."

But the smile on Vanessa's face froze when she saw a red lipstick mark on his collar, and her anger surged in an instant...

...

Eliana returned to the company, and as soon as she entered, all her colleagues gathered around to ask about the situation.

After hearing that Vanessa was not seriously injured, they dispersed and went back to their work.

After all this turmoil, it was almost evening. Eliana went back to her office, changed into a light pink dress, put on beautiful makeup, and carefully selected accessories.

Just as she came out of the lounge, she ran into Sierra, "Boss, are you going on a date with your handsome husband?"

How did this girl know?

Eliana was a bit embarrassed, "It's not a date or anything, just a regular dinner."

"Then where are you going for your date? I know a friend who runs a restaurant in the mall, would you like me to introduce you?"

Eliana was calm on the surface, but even more shy inside, "I've already booked a restaurant, thank you for your kindness."

Sierra still pushed the contact information of the restaurant to her, and she had to take it.

Eliana left the company building and saw Chase waiting in the car at the door.

Seeing her coming, Chase got out of the car and opened the door for her, and as he approached, he smelled a faint fragrance.

Knowing that Eliana rarely wears perfume, Chase couldn't help but secretly smile, knowing she had dressed up specially to see him.

Eliana was in a good mood, got in the car and contacted the newly discovered restaurant to book a table.

"My assistant recommended a new restaurant to me, would you like to try it?"

Chase said, "You decide."

Eliana then changed the reservation to the restaurant recommended by Sierra.

When they entered, the waiter led them to a private room.

The room was filled with romantic decorations, heart-shaped flowers, scented candles, and a dimly lit scene that was obviously a good place for couples.

Chase also guessed what was going on.

Eliana was a bit embarrassed, the atmosphere in the couple's room was too romantic, she should have changed to a regular one.

Chase wouldn't think she was deliberately expressing her love, would he?

Thinking about eating in such an environment with an overly ambiguous atmosphere, it seemed a bit inappropriate...

"This was booked by my assistant, I didn't know she would book this kind of room, why don't we go out and sit in the hall?"

Chase took the lead and walked in, "Since it's already booked, let's not change."

He didn't resist at all?

Was he accepting being alone with her in such a romantic setting?

Eliana was secretly happy, sat down opposite him after entering, "Waiter, bring the dishes directly."

"Okay, ma'am."

After the door was closed, the air seemed to become increasingly warm, Eliana looked up at him shyly, "Did you have a busy day?"

Chase saw her shy appearance and couldn't help but tease her, "Not too much, don't worry, I won't eat up your wallet."

What a thing to say!

Was she that stingy?

"I'm not worried about the money," she shot back.

Chase raised his eyebrows and stared at her deeply, "Then what do you mean?"
