Ivy's POV

I placed my hands on my chest as it began to beat so fast, how else was I supposed to handle all of these if not to deny those accusations. There's no way he is ever going to believe me but I won't let him have it.

" Why are you standing there, looking at me?" I snapped at the maid who wouldn't mind her business. All of them are beginning to annoy me right now and it is beginning to bother me.

I was about to head to my room when I heard my name. I knew who it was from the voice and I sincerely hated that she was calling out to me.

" I see that you are back and you have made that clear, can you now learn to mind your business and keep my name out of your mouth?" I said to lily.

She laughed and I always hated the way she had always laughed.
" Why should I? You think you are better than I am?" She glared at me.
" I have better things to do," I said.

I was about to walk away when she walked past me and came right into my face.
" Do you remember how you went ahead and drowned that little boy? I can assure you that the parents know about it right now" she said to me.

My eyes widened in shock as I recalled what had happened that day.
" How did they find out? How on earth did they know about it?" I asked her as I stepped forward.
She had to step back because I was going to push her down if she had not stepped back.
" I made sure I got them to know about it. I also got to find out that you were the one who told Oscar about my little sex episodes and where to find me, so I figured you needed a favour and it was not so hard to return" she laughed.

I was freezing even when I was not supposed to. That incident should have been buried and forgotten. Why on earth would she bring that up? My hands were beginning to shake and I tried so hard to keep a straight face and not act like it was getting to me.

" What then are you going to get in return for that? It has been years and it has been forgotten" I said.
" What did you get in return when you told Oscar about my activities with the other men? Nothing, absolutely nothing and that is what I will get in return too. You see, I want to see that you taste what I tasted and before you know it, the authorities will be looking for you" she said.

It sounded like some death call to me. I never meant to drown him, he slipped into the water on my watch and I could not do much to save him. I had to run but Lily knew all about it, as she had watched from a distance. The family never knew l was the one with the little boy, so their housekeeper was arrested.

" It is long forgotten Lily, and besides, it was a mistake" I tried to defend myself but she shook her head.
" You can not be serious. What exactly does that even mean?" She laughed so hard.

I could swear she was having a lot of fun and will go ahead with her threat.
" Do not do anything stupid" I warned her.
" What are you going to do to stop me? You can go ahead and tell Oscar about my many men, it changes nothing right now" she smiled.

She raised my face with her finger as she stared right into my soul.
" I will make sure you are kicked out and sent to the cells where you belong, this place and the company will be mine alone" she said.

I watched as she took her leave. How else was I supposed to see that coming? I returned to my room and just paced around the place.

My mind was restless and I could not imagine what would become of me and my baby being in the cell, humiliated and hated.
I ran my hands through my hair in so much pain, fear and anger.

I wish I had known that she was going to mess around something like that.
I was still in that state when the door opened and Anderson got in.

" Hey, how have you been? I've not had the time to check up on you" he said as he pulled me close to himself and kissed my forehead.

I was not concerned about him checking up on me or not,I had better things to worry about.
" It's fine," I said as I rested in his embrace.

I just wanted to be there because it was comforting.
" I have missed you so much," he said as he ran his hands through my body. His face lit up as he held my breast and looked into my eyes.
