AT THE ORPHANAGE
Ava sat alone staring at the trees as the winds blow them, her old friend from the orphanage Lucy joined her.
“Hey Ava, are you okay?” Lucy asked.
“Yes, I’m fine,” Ava replied.
“But why are you here, I mean that lady came and took you, and you now have a family as you have always wished, why do you return to the orphanage? Are they mistreating you?” Lucy asked.
“I don’t know, but they are nice, my dada to loves me, aunt Lena loves me so much but I’m just afraid they will throw me away definitely one day, if the DNA results show am not my dada’s daughter, he will leave me.” Ava cried.
“Don’t cry Ava, I’m sure you are your dad’s daughter, and you said aunt Lena, who is she?” Lucy asked.
“She is the kindest woman I ever met, always calm, she loves me really much, she takes me to school, gets me a gift and loves me a lot,” Ava said.
“Don’t you think she will be very worried about you, maybe she is even searching for you,” Lucy replied.
Ava pouted sadly.
“Ava…” Someone called.
Ava turned and a bright smile appeared on her lips.
“Omma!!!” Ava screamed excitedly and run to Elena.
Elena carried her up and hugged her tightly.
“Why did you leave us, baby, you know I love you so much,” Elena said checking Ava’s face.
“I’m sorry aunt Lena, I just don’t know, my classmates told me that my mama brought me to dada’s house just to hurt you, and where I deserve to be is in the orphanage, I don’t want to hurt you, that’s why I left,” Ava said.
“C’mon Ava, you know how much I had missed you, do you know how many times I cried? You mean the world to me, Ava, I don’t want to lose you.” Elena exclaimed.
“I’m sorry, I promise I won’t leave you again,” Ava said making a pinky promise.
Elena hugged her.
“Even if the DNA test shows negative, I will not let you go, I promise,” Elena replied.
“Can I say something?” Ava asked.
“Yes, anything you want,” Elena replied.
“I love you so much, Oma,” Ava said.
“And I love you more my Angel.”
Elena replied.
“Don’t try to run from us Ava, what you did was wrong, you made us so worried,” Harrison said.
“I’m sorry dada.” Ava apologizes making a puppy face.
“Okay, come here,” Harrison said and embraced her tightly.
“Enough of this drama, I’m still existing you know, Ava, won’t you hug me too?”
Sara asked annoyed.
“I’m sorry Mama, it’s just that I missed Aunt Lena and dada,” Ava replied innocently.
“And you are tryna say you did miss me, huh, you are so evil as young as you are, first, you disappeared and make us worried, and now you are choosing her over me, you are such an evil child.”
Sara said and hit her
“Stop it, Sara, don’t add another word, Ava is a child, and prone to make mistakes, why all the insults?” Elena asked calmly.
“Is known of your concern, she is my daughter, and I’m not leaving her with you both anymore, I’m taking her with me and there is absolutely nothing you can do.”
Sara said and began to drag Ava with her.
“No, mama, I don’t want to go with you, aunt Lena, please don’t let her take me, please dada.” Ava pleaded.
“Please Harrison, don’t let her take Ava from me, please.” Elena pleaded.
“Wait, Sara, I will do anything you want, but you have to leave Ava with us,” Harrison said and Sara smiled.
“Good, I want you to marry me, else I’m taking Ava with me and you will never find me,” Sara said.
“Are you serious?” Harrison asked.
“Dead serious Harrison McCalls.”
Sara replied.
“Okay then, go with your daughter, my wife will soon get pregnant and I won’t need to be with you, but one thing is sure, even if you remain the last girl in the world, I will never marry you or even love you again, loving you at first was the biggest mistake I ever made.”
Harrison said.
“Well then, if you not gonna marry me now, fine, but I will continue staying in your mansion, not in the guest room or boy's quarter, but inside the main house, and I will be the one to choose the room I want, secondly, you will make a transfer of 10 million to my account immediately.”
Sara said
“You are evil mama, and I’m not going with you,” Ava said and remove her hand from Sara and run to Elena, Elena held her hand tightly.
“You have been treating Ava bad, and I have all evidence, so we shall meet at Court, child services will contact you soon,” Harrison said showing her the video of her, hitting Ava and Calling her name’s, he knows how cruel Sara is, so he recorded everything.
“No, you are not doing that to me.”
Sara said.
“I’m dead serious, but I still have a condition, If you want this video to be deleted, firstly, you won’t show your face to us till on the DNA test day, and secondly, we are taking Ava with us.”
Deal or no deal?” Harrison asked.
Sara gulped down hard.
“You are blackmailing me,” Sara yelled.
“Well I guess so, so what’s your decision, coz my fingers are itching to release this video online so everyone can see how bad you have been to Ava,” Harrison replied.
“Alright, fine, deal,” Sara said.
“Interesting, now you can leave,” Harrison said and Sara left angrily.
“Thanks for not giving me to her dada.”
Ava said.
“Anything for my little princess,” Harrison replied.
“So, I and your oma have a surprise for you at home, are you excited?”
Harrison asked.
“Yay, I’m so excited,” Ava replied.
