Chapter 34: Such Terrible Manners

Chapter 34: Such Terrible Manners

"Some people are really shameless. They made a big show of saying they broke up with Ethan, but now that they heard Ethan has a private party here, they still chased after him."

"What does that mean? Are they trying to be a simp again and cling to Ethan like before?"

The "some people" in Sarah's words referred to Victoria.

Victoria didn't want to bother with her at first, but hearing this, she couldn't help but shoot Sarah a sharp look.

Sarah snorted coldly.

She scolded Victoria, "What are you looking at? I'm talking about you, simp."

"Even if you chased after him, Ethan won't give you a second glance."

Sarah lifted her carefully made-up face, looking furious.

Last night, she had planned to send Victoria to Jerry's bed, but somehow things went wrong. Not only did Jerry get his other arm broken, but Eddy also got beaten up and sent to the hospital.

This had to be Victoria's doing.

She'd always been rough—it wasn't surprising she'd do something like this.

Seeing Sarah like this, Victoria snorted coldly and reminded her, "Sarah, are you asking for a beating?"

"I wouldn't mind using the same whip I used on Eddy to give you a good thrashing too."

Hearing Victoria's words, Sarah's body trembled with fear. Victoria had been ruthless since childhood - she'd experienced it firsthand.

She didn't dare confront Victoria directly.

Just then, Ethan's car pulled into the parking lot.

The moment she saw Ethan, Sarah acted like she'd seen her savior. Covering her face and forcing out a few pitiful tears, she ran toward Ethan.

"Ethan."

Sarah called out sweetly.

Ethan's brow furrowed, but when he saw Victoria standing not far from them, his eyes lit up with joy.

There was even a hint of excitement.

Victoria couldn't let him go after all—she came here to find him, didn't she?

See, he was right. She loved him so much that within three days, she'd come looking for him on her own.

To maintain his image, he cleared his throat before speaking to Sarah.

"What's wrong? Did she upset you again?"

Ethan's words were clearly biased toward Sarah.

"Ethan, I know you have a very important private party here today, so I came early to help you arrange things."

"I didn't expect Victoria to chase after you. I was afraid she'd cause trouble and ruin your party, so I told her not to bother you."

"But Victoria is so stubborn. She said she'd use a whip on me. She's such a bully."

Ethan believed Sarah without question. After all, he'd seen with his own eyes at that clothing store how Victoria had knocked down two big, burly men.

She was getting more and more aggressive.

"Victoria, you've gone too far. After leaving me, how did you become so ill-mannered?"

Ethan directly scolded Victoria.

Victoria crossed her arms and snorted coldly before fighting back.

"Ethan, what right do you have to call me ill-mannered?"

"No matter how ill-mannered I am, I'm not like you—hooking up with Sarah while you were still dating me."

"Shameless."

Victoria spat at Ethan without holding back.

Her disdainful manner made Ethan's face darken. Didn't Victoria love him? How could she spit at him?

"Victoria? How can you say such things? This is a public place." Ethan clenched his fists, glaring at Victoria angrily.

He didn't know why, but nowadays Victoria could easily provoke his anger.

Victoria laughed coldly again.

"Ethan, so you know this is a public place? Anyone with eyes and ears could find out whether what Sarah said is true just by asking around."

"Only a fool like you would believe her words so easily."

Victoria's words made Ethan glance at Sarah, who was leaning in his arms looking all wronged.

Sarah quickly said, "Ethan, I'm telling the truth. I was just afraid she'd come pester you and ruin your party."

"Me pester him? Is he worth it?" Victoria crossed her arms and threw out this line with utter contempt.

Ethan's brow furrowed. He felt Victoria was looking down on him.

Now he wasn't even worth Victoria pestering?

"If you're not here to pester me, what are you doing here? Victoria, don't tell me you're here for the party too?"

"With your status, you can't get into such a high-end place."

Ethan bluntly said Victoria wasn't high-class enough.

Indeed, people who came to this place for parties were either rich or noble. Even some wealthy people would find it hard to get in.

The only reason Ethan could hold his party in such a high-end place was because he was from the Ashford family.

Because his uncle William was a premium member of this venue.

"Whether I can get in or not is my business. It has nothing to do with you."

"Please watch yourself from now on and keep that bitch in your arms in check. Don't let her go around slandering people. Next time, I won't let her off so easily."

Victoria didn't consider Sarah her opponent. In her eyes, treating a fake bitch like Sarah as an opponent would be an insult to herself.

Not bothering with these two anymore, Victoria turned to enter the banquet hall, planning to message William to come out and get the documents.

But then Ethan spotted William's car parked in the lot.

Thinking of that day at The Hughes Villa, when William had rushed Victoria to the hospital while she was injured, Ethan suddenly realized Victoria's purpose for coming.

She wasn't here to pester him.

She was here to pester William.

William had said Victoria owed him three hundred million dollars. Was she here to cling to William and seduce him just because she couldn't pay him back?

The mere thought of Victoria flirting with William made Ethan's chest tighten.

Victoria was his woman.

No other man could touch her except him.

With this thought, he roughly pushed Sarah out of his arms, strode straight to Victoria's side, and grabbed her arm, holding her tightly beside him.

"Victoria, can you not be so cheap?"

"Just for three hundred million dollars, you're willing to throw yourself my uncle?"

"He's very picky. Not just any woman can seduce him. You'd better not do those shameless things."
