Apology dinner
Rhea's POV
" We are here" Eliza's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
I looked out the window, and my jaw fell to the floor.
"We are having my welcoming ceremony at THE MYTH restaurant?" I asked her and she nodded.
Wow! I thought this place was only a myth just like the name had implied.
The driver stepped out to open the car's door for us.
I stood in front of the restaurant, the large neon sign making the restaurant hard to drive by.
Rumor has it that only people of high status could even book the hotel and a plate of food cost nothing less than a hundred thousand.
Oh no! There will be so many people at the ceremony, and Kayden might be forced to spend so much.
Why didn't he tell me that he had plans of making here the venue for the ceremony..
"You don't seem to happy" Eliza's smile faded, as we walked into the vicinity of the restaurant
Just like it was in the stories, it had an ice swam just by the side
I wondered how they had kept it from melting all these while.
The restaurant was ten times the size of any other restaurant I have ever been to in my life. And for the daughter of an alpha of a small pack, I've been to none.
So yeah, I'm talking based on my imagination.
"This place is beautiful" I gasped.
"Yes, but you don't seem too happy to be here. I mean the smile on your face now wasn't there when we walked in" Eliza showed sincerely concern.
I wondered how she had easily accepted this polygamy of a marriage..
She hasn't even been rude to me once or shown any signs of hostility towards me.
All she does is care for me. Maybe, having a co-wife isn't such a bad thing. At least I have a friend I never had.
"Rhea" she tapped me on the shoulder.
"Sorry, what were you saying?" I shook my head completely lost.
"I was saying that you don't seem happy we are here. Don't you like this place ?" She asked me.
"Oh no! I love it. Infact, I have been hearing about this place back in college. But, I didn't even dream of coming here. But, it seems to be quite expensive. Kayden might not be happy about it" I complained, and she let out a loud laughter.
"You're royalty Rhea, your wealth can never run dry. And this is cheap for us okay?" She smiled.
"Okay" I nodded agreeing with her.
I took a look at the features of the restaurant. It was decorated with white and red roses, almost making it look like a wedding hall.
The chandelier hung effortlessly, big and beautiful.
"I'll leave you now" Eliza spoke, as she let go of my hand.
I gasped, ready to protest, but she had already disappeared by the time I turned around.
I would be scared on a normal day, but after getting married to Kayden, the unusual things have become normal to me.
The whole place suddenly became dark, with light emitting everywhere, but from the far end corner of the room.
I looked in that direction trying to puzzle the figure that was walking towards me.
I felt wetness in between my legs when I saw Kayden walk out in an all black casual wear.
I had never seen him in such a dress code before. It was hot, and I could feel myself melt away.
"Shall we?" He asked politely, extending his palm.
It was like a dream to me. I had to bite down on my lower lip a couple of times, just to feel pain and convince myself that I am not dreaming.
I would have pinched myself but he held my hand preventing me from doing it.
"You don't have to be so shocked. I have feelings too" he chuckled, pulling out a chair for me to sit.
I felt like a queen.
"But, you are a queen. You are the queen of queens. Is there another title greater than that?" He lifted an eyebrow at me.
"I know but, I never felt like one. I felt more like a prisoner" i murmured my last sentence, hoping that he won't hear me.
"I'm sorry about that" he faked a smile.
"So, why did you prepare all this?" I asked, already understanding that no welcome ceremony was being held in the first place.
"We can talk about the reason later. For now, you should just enjoy your food" he said.
I crased my eyebrow, wondering if the Kayden in front of me was the same Kayden that I have always known.
" But.." I gasped, ready to speak when two waiters walked in with food.
My face lit up. I haven't been feeling hungry ever since I got out of the hospital. Coupled with the fact that my wounds were taking so much time to heal and I couldn't even get on my own feet. I really wasn't comfortable with the maids feeding me.
"What are you thinking about?" He snapped his fingers in my face.
"You should know, you always do," I murmured.
"I do, I just want you to tell me" his tone changed.
His voice became calmer, more gentle, and erotic. Something I had never heard before.
I felt a surge of electricity running through my body.
"What is this?" I shook my head aggressively, snapping myself out of my thoughts and looking at the food that was placed in front of me.
It was something that I had never seen before
The rice was orange, and the chicken was well, it was chicken but a lot more browner.
