Chapter 14

I watch Milly tidy up her office that no customer ever enters. I love Milly but I must confess that I also think of her quite a little crazy .. not like crazy crazy but still crazy.

Milly is Claire's grandfather's step sister and she was also his personal assistant. She also used to be Claire's too when Claire grandfather recently passed away leaving his company in the capable hands of his first granddaughter. The last time we came here, Claire told me about Milly.. How she had told Milly to retire because she's now old but Milly refused .. not like the normal _I won't go behavior or words but the family relationship manipulation. Poor Claire couldn't watch Milly being sad everyday. It reached the day to her retirement so she gave her her own office where she gotta stay and still feels like she's working and to me, she does though. She comes to work before everyone else and she stays in her office.

I keep on watching her as I tiptoe while praying that she doesn't see me because if she does then my ears will cry. I've never seen an old person who talks more than Milly. Milly talks even though you're singing to yourself, as far as you're sitting near her then she must talk, no matter what you're doing.

I guess I will give all thanks to my wife for putting me in this situation .. where I have to avoid old Milly. Claire left me in the car to get something from her office and also I have to thank my silly self for being such a restless chick who couldn't stay in one place and patiently wait for her wife .. but she has been in there for quite a while now and I really want to go find my daughter.

"Is that you?" Milly called and I'm sure her head is now out of her window as she tries to figure out who is passing through her office as no one normally passes there and also as her office is built specially for her at the end side of the main company building. 

"Why am I following this passage and even sneaking around like a criminal." I asked myself then sigh, I just don't want to see thousands of Claire's workers as that will result in me having to speak or answer thousands of questions and greetings. I guess now I will have to face the consequences and show myself to millions of more words .. Milly Thomson. 

"But maybe she doesn't know that's it me so Leila just keeps walking .. you're not the one being rude, you're just like any stranger who works at Claire's company in Milly's old and poor eyesight." I said to myself as I continue to tiptoe.

"Is that you little Lilly?." Milly asked which made me mutter to myself in defeat .."Ok, she caught me." I mused as I walked to Milly, hugged her and told her that yes it's me.

I continue chatting with Milly .. well more like Milly is doing the talking while I nod my head yes, no or uh huh and what we talked about is not that much _that's if you exclude her continuously telling me .. how grown up I have become and how she's happy that I'm back with Claire ... It seems like I was so close with Milly when I was with my memories as she told me how I always come to her and cry on her shoulder when I was planning on leaving Claire.

"You really cried a lot that day to the extent that I became scared that you were going to fall sick and you know here isn't Nikoleta's hospital and I can't carry myself properly nowadays to say to carry you to a nearby hospital since you didn't want Nikoleta to know that you were here." Milly said which makes me start to pay more attention to her as some of the things she said are still new to me and I want to know more of what she knows .. all of what she knows so I asked.

"Did I tell you why I left Claire." I asked, hoping that she'd tell me all that she knows since it seems like Blair didn't tell me everything.

"Yes little Lilly and I was really angry that you wouldn't tell Nikoleta about that evil boy's threat to you and you agreed to marry him even though he's the reason why you always refuse Nikoleta anytime she wants you.

You still remember that afternoon you came to me .. you cried for a whole thirty minute then fell asleep on my lap .. when you woke up and I asked what the problem was you said you two almost did it. You said you started panicking that's why Nikoleta stopped , you were scared that maybe what that evil boy told you is true and I told you what my wise Blair had told you in school. I told you that the reason why you couldn't have sex with that evil boy when he was your boyfriend was because you're a lesbian and not because your virginity is an obstacle like that evil boy made you believe.

I think I convinced you that day that nothing is wrong with you because you told me that you won't stop Nikoleta on your wedding night. That silly boy, Phillip told me Nikoleta beat him up .. I just hope she left a very serious injury on him as he did make your school mates call you that ridiculous nickname that you totally bought."

"What nickname? I was confused as no one told me anything about this subject .. not even Blair.

"The girl with a virginity as an obstacle .. blair told me when she came to ask me for some advice that, that's what every person in your school refers to you and that you believe that that's what you are which isn't what you're little Lilly. I hope you no longer believe that."
